For those wondering about the Xbox Prompts. The first half of the game is on PC with an Xbox controller. The second half is PS4. I labeled PS4 because that is what the majority of the footage is from. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Though to be fair Outlast was only an hour (two if you count the DLC and memorised) but THAT HAD *REAL* HORRORS UNLIKE THIS TRYPE!

This feels like an older game with more modern graphics. It reminds me of Myst and Echo the Dolphin. I think it looks fine. To me it just seems that it it out of place in 2018. But I can see myself liking this because I just like looking around the levels. Lots of atmosphere here.
What most people doesn't seems to get is that this game is supposed to show you how hell it is,as one of the many sinful souls doomed to be in hell for all eternity,you are not a demon slayer or someone destined to rule it,you just want to get the hell out of there,that's all the game is about
Némesis except that it could have done that and have been... well, good. An escape from hell game isn’t a terrible idea, but the fact that it’s ugly, boring, trivial as even the most difficult puzzles are pathetic and used a hundred times to pad the game out, many other obviously glaring issues.
Besides an interesting art style, that being the design of hell, which is good in some parts and hurts my eyes in others, this game had nothing going for it.
You all want a good horror game where you survive hell.

I got yay it certainly one of the most gruesome and terrifying depictions of hell. I’ve always liked these type of games that depict hell. Shadows of the Damned, Dante’s inferno and Doom are some of my favorite games of all time.

The difference is you wouldn't really want to walk through Hell.
Maybe visually but logically it's absolutely comical. Who leaves or writes perfectly comprehensible "notes" in hell? Or talks coherently and like they aren't in hell at all, just another average day in paradise.

@@jcyoho66 the first few levels are great, both in terms of art direction and lighting (tho they are a bit too dark) but from mid to end its clear the development was rushed...succubus is much better in terms of gameplay than this trail and error fest but the engine isnt well developed and the frame pracing is bad

What in the world did I just witness...?
This game reminds me of the 90s, you know? Growing up back then, I would always hear "omg did you hear!? that game has a single visible boob! Scandalous!!" and such talk from friends and whatnot. In a similar light, Agony feels more like a novelty and a topic of conversation than a game. Like the kind of thing you play for the aesthetic or whatever shock value it might hold but not because it has a whole lot of entertainment value in itself.
I'm against censorship in games, especially ones like these, which would benefit from going all-out on some aspects. It's unfortunate that it had to be censored, though having watched the "deleted scenes" video the developer put out, I can understand why they'd get in trouble if they were included.

my biggest problem with the game is when you die it seems to take you back like 10 minutes or more. so if you get stuck at a point and keep dying you have to replay the same 10 minutes prior over and over. now I know the solution is don't die lol but also it seems to lack consistency sometimes. like there will be a time ill die and possess a demon. then if I die again and go back ill go to the same demon thinking itll work for sure since ive already possessed him before and it wont let me. idk if its something im doing wrong tho. I do like the game overall. not the best but im not hatin it.

I really really wanted this game to be good. Never before in my life have I gotten bored watching a video game walkthrough, I wanted the mythos in this game to be good too but I got average level plot/: from watching the gameplay and trailers from over a year ago now, I am very disappointed with how this turned out lmao

Alternate theory: the protagonist is tripping on bath salts, and the demons are police trying to arrest him.

I don't understand people's bad opinions about this game. The game is an explore puzzle game. Its not a game where you are meant to go out there fighting tons of demons like dante's inferno. Its based on looking at the hell around you and figuring out a few puzzles. Considering the guy who did this walkthrough pretty much just ran past a whole ton of stuff and tended to neglect certain things, even if he had, it doesn't change the base game premise...what the game was marketed for...explorer puzzle and horror. Its like buying car and expecting it to fly like an airplane....don't by a car if you want an airplane.

Dude there's a lot of puzzle game out there,like GoW. But it's great,even it has 10/10 ratings,that's because of the gameplay and the storyline also the graphics is great too. Not with this game,just blood and voices of woman orgasm

It's not that why the game sucks. It's because of issues. The glitching, screan tearing. It will corrupt your save files. Just all kinds of issues. And it's sencored. That's why people are mad. I've beat the game so I know first hand. It's a very slow game.
This is the fully finished game? I remember seeing early beta gameplay of this and was pretty excited but it seems still very unfinished? Also the dialogue is.... questionable.
At 2:39 I got softlocked, my game crashes everytime I examine the painting, leaving me unable to get through the ice wall

I'm almost two hours into this game and have only received one trophy from pushing a bitch into a pit. I don't know what level I'm on
this game was frustrating. i only checked these on the couple parts i got stuck & half to MOST of the times i checked MY GAME WAS DIFFERENT so none of these walkthroughs helped me! had to damn figure it out myself, stuck.. beat it in just like 2 or 3 days, still though. crazy walkthrough after walkthrough is different than mine. dope game multiple dope parts like the mushroom mind, the desert of light, the cathedral of the goddess & that desert road before it, a couple others. twisted game of judaism w/ sumerian stuff, statues of egyptian stuff too.. praising god AND inanna & stuff.

It's good, but "Dante's Inferno" on 360/PS3 was FAR better. Not only was the descent through Hell more fleshed out and detailed, but it's actually immensely fun to play, something Agony is NOT. If you've never played it then definitely seek it out.
People complaining its bad because it LOOKS bad or LOOKS boring or LOOKS empty, not every game has to be filled and action packed. Personally i am liking this game, in process of recording the game myself. At first i was a little worried about the nudity as youtube likes to be mean to small channels, however after seeing many channels show the nudity that worry has gone down. Just hope when i upload the parts that the outcome isn't too bad. Games like this i wish existed more. Sometimes i like to look around and explore, even if its within the depths of hell

I love this game but I *HATE* the checkpoints! There is no checkpoint before the demon you fight (1:38:46) and because of that I’ve been stuck on it for *WEEKS!* I don’t have the patience to go through that entire path every single time. I’m extremely frustrated because it’s been 6 weeks and I still can’t get past it

The game's overall okay, but one thing I kinda don't understand is how the protagonist is hinted to be either Nimrod or Amraphel, ancient kings from the Bible. But at the very end it appears you're a person from the modern times, possibly someone that drowned at a beach.
So... is it a reincarnated soul that happened to manifest the lives of evil kings in the past?

Gustavo Garcia the devs had to blur because of ratings reasons. if they kept nudity, it would get an AO/Adults Only rating, which means it wouldn't come to console. that's why it was delayed before initial launch.

I appreciate RRG for what they do, however, this game is unbearably boring. Everything just looks the same. 35 minutes in, I should have seen a bit more variation in the environment, and it's just... What's the point of gore if the saturation and contrast are set so you can't actually see the gore?
I understand that this is a puzzle game that was made for the shock value and combined aesthetic, but in my opinion, they failed on that and should have gone back to the drawing board.
But that's just my opinion. I imagine that actually playing the game would be a bit different because then it's your hands on the controller.
