So this is a weird game. I plan a full write-up on our website here soon along with a video review this week of this game, but... yeah. I don't think this was for me. It does give you bang for your buck. However, I found the puzzles to be a bit too obtuse at times and there were waaaayyyy too many keys in this game. It felt like Banjo Kazooie + Pineview Drive at times with all the things you need to collect to progress. The laundry list of items you need to obtain is absurd. Get 5 medals to open the medal puzzle, get 6 voodoo dolls to burn to get the artifact in the basement, get X key for Y door to get Z key locked in there, ect. Needed more puzzles like the finding bloody numbers on the wall or the other safe puzzle where numbers and scratch marks appear on the wall while the scythe-man tries breaking down the door.
This title was just really missing a major hook. The story & gameplay were only decent for a horror title, but nothing really stood out as "must-play" after I finished my 30+ hours of playing. Actually, a few sections stood out a particularly grating. The attic section in the dark, the final stretch at the end with the torch, the entirety of the 4th mask section and the dolls after getting knocked into the basement made me want to pull my hair out.
However, the music was nice from what I remember & it looks great for being a 20$ title. Not to mention your first blind playthrough could easily take 10+ hours. That's bang for your buck right there. Other gamers might also really dig the scares the game offers. Personally? Conjuring House did nothing for me in that regard, but I could easily see why someone else would find the content scary. 4 big recurring monsters, dolls, and other spooky things throughout. If that's something that sounds like it could scare you, then this game might be for you.

Agreed. Puzzles need to feel rewarding and fun. Not repetitive and boring. They should take some notes from the RE series like RE2, 4 and 7.
I agree as well. Not to mention that the house is ridiculously huge! You did all of that and still didnt totally defeat the monster smh.

This walkthrough *actually* felt like a walkthrough and not a letsplay unlike other uploaders. The gameplay was fluid, fast, and professionally done.. unlike other uploaders. Well done.

Im fairly certain u cant burn a body with a candle mate... Just sayin
You can't burn a body by gently tapping it with a torch either DarkCosmicDragon, however if the clothes are that old and dry they'll catch fire easily from even such a small flame.
And even after he got wooden torch he can literally light that up with candles that are decorated all over on floor.
Great game but let me name quite a few things that annoyed me.
1. Stamina
2. Not being able to throw lil carts
3.His voice not sounding scared at all.
4. Taking so long to leave the fucking house at the end.
Great job and its not that bad minus them things i loved it 3 stars i would give it out of 5.

The acting could have been improved, but most horror games are weak under this aspect. I also agree with the stamina, adrenaline should be taken into consideration. I don't know what you mean with the carts, maybe I'm too far behind in the video. I don't agree with the last point, because there's no way to leave. If you go back to the only exit door, there's a wall blocking it from outside.
However, I'm not annoyed by any of these things. I'm annoyed by the fact that those creatures kill you only some of the times. Instead, they usually just scare you or do nothing at all, and disappear when you're too close. I mean, if you want to kill me, just do it! Also, the same creatures which can move quickly, suddenly become super slow when you have to run away from them.
EDIT: 30 minutes later stamina and acting are getting ridiculous

thats a norm in games. like in RE7 ethan is casual about being chopped off frin hands and leg. he was also ok-ish when his hand was stabbed with the screwdriver

That ending is absolute garbage. What even actually happened. The ghost should've been done for
Chronicle Child I believe it ended the way it did because the body he burned was only a host for the demon so once the body burned, the demon was “free” but need a new host. So possibly the demon possessed the guy
I dont generally feel this way even watching the most jarring of gameplay but the bloody way the main dude moves or gets up is so inhuman like it makes u wonder if u should just live in the mansion...

yes. there was no linear way to finish the game. atleast much of it. like the five statues can be done in any way. although the progession is linear

I'm still baffled at the stamina mechanic. Is your character a nerd that never made minimal efforts in his life? I mean, mid monster-chase.. with the adrenaline, you would never do that.. (edit, now that I seen most of it.. The mask pretty much gets you to see what the witch wants to see hu? )
Addenum: This game has some flaws that break the immersion, the stamina thing.. The fact that he opens the door like a boss "move over fuckwads.. here comes Mr. who knows who" and then he closes the doors like a pansy in fear.. Some of the actions are also over exaggerated. Like the banging when the door isnt budging. The most blatantly stupid mechanic apart from the obvious torch.. which doesn't light the way and that you have to go to a damn furnace or a fireplace to light it up.. are the small tea carts and how despite their tiny size.. can only be pushed one way.
I agree with the stamina thing. I know they made it for more intense especially when you got chased but if they want it like that, make a longer stamina and less "breathing" time. It always make me caught all the time and its frustating

I was a fan till pretty much everything after the mask. The game got boring with endless loops and lost what it had in the beginning. Had promise and then fell very hard on it's face. I honestly don't know how the player made it through I'd have quit due to annoyance and boredom

Hi Rabid, you are awesome at any game you play. Just a constructive feedback from your very long time fan - I feel like for horror games, an important key is the "element of surprise", which will not happen if played like any other game. May I suggest to slow down the pace a little bit for horror games so that there still that "OMG what will happen now?" moments. If we know where to go and what to do, then it feels like a horror movie with fast forward on. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand where you are coming from. However, sometimes when making the video I have to consider whether or not to go for a more "natural" vs. "make a video so people can understand what to do". I picked the second way because my first playthrough took about 14 hours... which is just too long. I redid the game all the way to the attic section.
I'd rather have a video in this case for people that get stuck at a point, but I understand where you are coming from. Thanks you for the feedback though!

He went through so much trouble just to get out of that house!! I hated that flying demon lady as well!! She looked horrible AF, plus she isn't even that scary!! I just wish the people who made this game could make a good ending for the character!! I played this game and I hated the ending, even till now!!

Wow awesome gameplay congratulations.
Now I see why the bad reviews, until 33min mark it was pretty good, solid cut-scenes and scripted jumpscares, but then when the game actually starts and you can actually die the game turns bad, random generated enemy that randomly kills you, throws you back 10 minutes of gameplay with no autosave. Personally should have added a checkpoint right after you found roberts body, so you don't have to do this part 10X over when you get cheaply killed by RNG. This also makes the devs seem lazy for not patching something as easy as this, add a few checkpoints after long cut-scenes and you might actually have a decent game.
