@@TerryBenton thanks… that’s what I was kinda thinking just practice with it like anything else… and it being a carry gun I don’t want something so light and short anyway.
Anyone else have this issue? I recently purchased the G3C and I am happy with the purchase however, I have noticed a problem getting jacketed hollow points to chamber the initial round from a fully loaded magazine. It doesn't have an issue with FMJ rounds - just hollow points. I should mention that I only have a couple of hundred rounds through the gun at the range so I am not overly concerned since this could be an issue that will go away as the gun is broken in. There doesn't seem to be a problem with hollow points running when the gun is fired - just the initial chambering round - but I admittedly haven't fired that many at the range given the cost difference between JHP and FMJ. My guess is that this issue will work itself out as the magazine springs work-in but until then I can load the magazines with 8 to 10 rounds and that seems to work or I could add the +1 round which should also do the trick. I use this as my EDC and since I have not had issues with anything but the initial round, once that has been chambered (I always carry with a chambered round), I am confident the next round with be there should I ever need to discharge multiple rounds. I'm really just curious if others ran into similar issues. It seems like a potentially common problem but also one that seems to work itself out over time and since I can still carry 8 to 10 rounds without even loading a +1, it doesn't make me second guess the purchase. But I do hope it works itself out since I don't want to find myself in a life and death situation needing to use a 2nd magazine only to worry if the first round will chamber properly. I supposed I could load the first round with an FMJ just to be safe but I worry about over penetration in a self defense scenario. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated. Overall I love the gun and the fact I bought it new from Cabelas (Bass Pro Shops) for $198.06 thanks to their price-match, I don't think there is a better gun for the money.

Excellent review/comparison. I see you have an early model Gen5 G19 sans the front serrations and with the half moon cutout which they omitted on later versions. Does the cutout bother you much? Do you notice it there or not, especially on long range sessions? Thanks you in advance.
Depends see with the baby Glock like the 27 it can use its sisters magazine like the Glock 23 and 22 if need be why a lot of police carry them plus they easy to get parts for and after market pates to them the g3c is a great gun and would make some one a good carry gun . I learned to shoot on a 357 four inch so the Glock trigger is close to what I am used too I had a g2c said not like that trigger so sold it but heard the g3c and thc are so much better tried the thc recently great gun .
I just bought a g3c at Royal king during Black Friday deals + 30$ manufacturers discount. 186$ The price was right. I went to buy a S&W shield plus. The Taurus just fits my hand better. I should have just got 3 of them at that price.
Before I get my G3C, I was thinking of the glock 43x. But I choose the g3c for 3 reasons. 1-price, 2-ergonomics and 3-mag capacity. And these 3 reasons the taurus g3c has the edge over the glock 43x.
G3C 9mm is sensitive to ammunition. In particular, it HATES Fiocchi ammo!!!! Find ammo that it loves and stick with it....and then its excellent firearm!!!
@@TerryBenton I stick with S&B ammo (Sellier & Bellot) for all my 9mm and 380's. Not the cheapest ammo on the market...but certainly about the best!! My G3C loves S&B.
The standard g3 is glock 19 size right? I have had mine for over a year the c model had a little issue chambering the first round with hollow points it shot them just fine just would hang up on the first round slide would lock up with certain brands of hollow points when trying to clear the chamber.I did a quick polish of the feed ramp and chamber seems to fix the issue. I still call it 100 percent reliable cause it would fire the rounds and chamber the next.

I'm looking at the Taurus full size and the G3xl as I like a longer sight radius.. I'm also looking at the Sig p220 which at Palmetto is on sale now for 450 with night sights.. I also hate the grip angle on the Glock.. I like how reliable they are, but that grip angle for this old man (I'm 62 ) who grew up on Smith and Wesson Revolvers and 1911 officer models as carry guns makes it hard for me with the glock grip angle.. I know people who love them, but not me.. They are so ugly too! haha.. :-) I"ve heard stories of the taurus' not feeding hollow points and I can't have that.. I plan on shooting some defense ammo with the same and low flash and low recoil.. Plus, I want night sights. I think they should just come standard. I don't know why more companies don't offer them like Sig does.. The other sig that is really small is about the same size as the taurus.. The glock 43 is thinner than the 19.. If I were going to buy the glock it would probably be the 48 which is the same size as the 19 except it's thinner, but you can get magazines that hold 15 rounds for the 48 and they are thinner than the 19.. Very cool video.. Thanks for the info.. I found you by accident comparing these and I had to check it out.. Best regards from the heartland.. South Central Indiana. USA Tim

Taurus have been having recall issues since 1997, which is still happening in 2024 with some of their GX 4 pistols. Problem with Taurus? Their quality control is inconsistent and that's the price you pay when you buy their product. There's more than enough videos on UA-cam about issues with the Taurus G3c and other Taurus firearms including their revolvers. Rather buy a SAR, or Canik before buying a Taurus pistol. Have two Taurus revolvers a Taurus 627 Tacker and Taurus Model 44 which I thoroughly inspected before buying. Don't trust their durability and rarely shoot magnum rounds out of them.

I would much better lose a couple bucks, they'll never find your Glock if they take it. To me it's a matter of economics, cost of firearm...
@@joebruno8785 very good point
Just the comparison of TAURUS G3C with Glock makes TAURUS great !👍
Yes it does
Excellent review/comparison. I see you have an early model Gen5 G19 sans the front serrations and with the half moon cutout which they omitted on later versions. Does the cutout bother you much? Do you notice it there or not, especially on long range sessions? Thanks you in advance.
It is an early model . The cutout does not bother me at all. Thanks for watching
They are really good guns. Most striker fire guns have less than desirable triggers
I just bought a g3c at Royal king during Black Friday deals + 30$ manufacturers discount. 186$ The price was right. I went to buy a S&W shield plus. The Taurus just fits my hand better. I should have just got 3 of them at that price.
They are a bargain. Thabjs for watching
If any one was wondering why Glock has that hole in the bottom of the grip it’s to stash tootsie rolls for when your blood sugar gets low 😂 😅
Lol. Funny
Glock polymer mags on a polymer frame is no bueno when reloading or trying to drop an empty mag fast. Tauras metal mags for the win.
Tbisnos a good point. I actually never thought about thay
Saludos. Tengo la g3c y gx4 y son excelentes armas
Ty
Before I get my G3C, I was thinking of the glock 43x. But I choose the g3c for 3 reasons. 1-price, 2-ergonomics and 3-mag capacity. And these 3 reasons the taurus g3c has the edge over the glock 43x.
You are absolutely right. Thanks for sharing

G3C 9mm is sensitive to ammunition. In particular, it HATES Fiocchi ammo!!!! Find ammo that it loves and stick with it....and then its excellent firearm!!!
I have never had an ammo issue. Very interesting point
@@TerryBenton I stick with S&B ammo (Sellier & Bellot) for all my 9mm and 380's. Not the cheapest ammo on the market...but certainly about the best!! My G3C loves S&B.
@@ronwilson9080 stick with what works.
I always used Hornady critical defense in my g2c
@@bobthebuilder1360 it is good stuff
The standard g3 is glock 19 size right? I have had mine for over a year the c model had a little issue chambering the first round with hollow points it shot them just fine just would hang up on the first round slide would lock up with certain brands of hollow points when trying to clear the chamber.I did a quick polish of the feed ramp and chamber seems to fix the issue. I still call it 100 percent reliable cause it would fire the rounds and chamber the next.
They are super reliable. It is not the size of a G19. It is closer to the size of a G26. I show them all in this video
@@TerryBentonhe talking about the g3
Very jealous of your no FS g19 gen5. I love the 26 with FS though. I may have to buy that
Thank you. The G19 is one of the very early Gen 5 before they put the front serrations on it
I'm surprised those sausage fingers can fit inside the trigger guard.
I am suprised you completed a sentence

Taurus is a no brainer. Right ?
@@franciscogomes4416 I agree
Love my g2c but I pocket carry now so my g43 is what I’m carrying now if I go iwb I carry my g2 c very reliable
Very good choice on the g43 to pocket carry
I almost brought the Taurus G3C, but i brought the Taurus G3. 2 17-round magazines, $325
Equally as good of a weapon. Just a full size gun. Congratulations. I hope it does you well. Thanks for watching
@TerryBenton thanks and you're welcome. I love g3. But I was thinking that the 10mm was made to stop a bear
I'd like to see Glock offer the RTF texture as a option for us who don't cry about grip rubbing hole in my shirt.
Lol. Good idea
When Taurus does the g3 model like the th models and give us 40 45 in the full size yes the g3c is in 40 but inner the g3 in 45-40
I would buy a 45 full size today. Great comment
MP 2.0 3.6 SC 😴👑>G26>🛡+ >♉️G3C only with lakeline rod/spring/striker guide is a must 🙅🏾♂️the factory springs are just not strong enough need to be at least 17/18lbs for reliability most ♉️wont even slide drop a standard HST/🩸🐝critical or reset into battery from front check, but the SD9VE🪶😴and 🛡+ are the best budget long term 9s out, also can just download compact to 10/12rd EDC🪶>SS/SC 🤭till this day the SD9VE/G19 🪶👑 of compacts

Mine does not either
J'ai eu le g2c et je n'ai jamais eu de probleme mais sa couleur s'est vite rayé.. a part ca tres sympa.. apres j'ai eu un glock 45 c'est une autre dimension
Right
Taurus g3c is always better than cheap build glock that cant even innovate
They are both good
Taurus feels better in hand and looks better The take up on the Taurus trigger blows.
The take up is bad
Tauraus is better value never did like glock same look no matter how many they make
I agree
G3C👍
Yup
I'm looking at the Taurus full size and the G3xl as I like a longer sight radius.. I'm also looking at the Sig p220 which at Palmetto is on sale now for 450 with night sights.. I also hate the grip angle on the Glock.. I like how reliable they are, but that grip angle for this old man (I'm 62 ) who grew up on Smith and Wesson Revolvers and 1911 officer models as carry guns makes it hard for me with the glock grip angle.. I know people who love them, but not me.. They are so ugly too! haha.. :-)
I"ve heard stories of the taurus' not feeding hollow points and I can't have that..
USA

Thank you for watching. I am going to look up the Sig 220 right now. I have a p320 in 45acp which I love. Thanks again

The 3 mag is definitely a big plus. Congratulations on making a good choice.
Taurus all day long. Dont drink the Glock kool aid
Lol. Right
@TerryBenton Glock is the same as Harley. Overpriced for no reason....when they're are better bikes for half the price. I can own any guns want. I will never buy a Block for 2-3 times the price. My G3 looks better, shoots better, feels better. LOTS of us agree.

Taurus comes with three 12 round magazines

I carry Taurus G2C SS is my every day open carry. I don't like the blueing on 🔫 I don't have any good reason to counsel carry. But I live in the hood. Everyone orrery knows I have something with me and my family. my friends like Glock but don't do what I do with a Taurus rain snow or shine is good to go.
They are really good pistols
Thanks for your opinion
Taurus has glocks attention in the last few years.....
Yes they do
no comparison to Glock and I own the g3 taurus its a tank but done cheaply
Yes it is. I agree
the lower on g3c definitely looks cheaper compared to the g26
It is cheaper. About $300 cheaper. Lol
Glock to a Taurus??Very different/ both serve a purpose....
Why are they very different besides the thumb safety?
All guns compared to the glock...even a revolver.
Right
seriously?
@Feel.I yes seriously
Glock cant innovate , 1st innovation ventured in 22lr in glock44 and its a piece of crap worst 22 lr polymer fullsize in the market!
Gotcha

I think the g3c shoots better than the g26 but i prefer the cz p10s
