Charlotte, what an awesome double tribute to your dad! To be inducted and to have Jimmy Page do the honors. What a night, absolutely deserve. Your dad is a legend! And it's so great to hear that he was a wonderful dad. That always makes me happy to find out that the entertainers that I really like we're all so good people. So nice for you to pop in here and say hello to us all, thank you!

Charlotte, glad the hall finally recognized him! To have rock icons refer to him as their ‘guitar hero’ is high praise. To be recognized all these years later, by both the Hall and Page making his first stage appearance in nearly a decade? That will etch the legacy in stone.

What an amazing tribute by one of my guitar heroes, to another one of my guitar heroes! Your dad was a musical genius and evidently a very loving parent. I don't know how many nights I had cold beer in the basement and played Rumble over and over on my Gibson, never tiring of it and wondering how so few chords could ever sound so much better than so many hits, it's so deep and mesmerizing and hits on so many levels. It made that scene in Pulp Fiction live forever in our minds - Pure genius!!!

A judge uses verbal phrasing and a gavel to force all to rise, yet Page only needs to phrase through his guitar to earn voluntary respect and recognition from the masses......now that's an honorable figure above all the rest.

i can't even image seeing Jimmy Page walk out on stage..to play. OMG. Like when he did the 1983 ARMS charity concerts, walking out on stage solo post Zeppelin, the sound of the crowd errupting in a standing ovation with pure joy and happiness, some in tears, just to see him was other wordly.

As someone older than your father who first saw Led Zeppelin at the age of 13, I am thrilled that you and your dad have this in common. A lot of people talk about how Led Zeppelin was so heavy, so loud, but there is a ton of their music that is so joyful. The Song Remains the Same, The Ocean, Custard Pie, Down By the Seaside and so many more. I hope you find the tunes that work the best for you when you're having a bad day or a scary episode (my former brother-in-law is bipolar so I have a little experience with what he goes thru). Most of all I just hope you enjoy the music and I'm really thrilled that you found something that speaks to you. The first time I saw Led Zeppelin live it changed my life. I turned back to a lot of the songs myself when things look dark. The absolute best to you my friend!

I mean all of Clapton's bands combined weren't as big as Led Zeppelin - a fact nobody would argue, not even for the beatles or the stones. Her guitar work on the studio albums with her Band Fanny were unfortunately often toned down a bit but fortunately two performances on the TV show Beat Club allow her to show her stuff properly. Here's a link to one song from that but be sure to check out the others if you like it. The rest of the band is great as well !!!

Except for 02 I think the last time he really did much of anything was when he and Robert toured with Zep reworked songs bck In the late 90s. I was fortunate enough to see Led Zeppelin four times and the Plant Page collaboration three times. I also saw Jimmy play at the ARMS benefit at the LA Forum in 1983 and a couple years later with The Firm l, also at the LA Forum.
I can't help but smile and be happy for all the people who were there tonight and got the surprise of their life by seeing Jimmy Page on stage. For me it was always the most amazing wonderful happening. I hope everybody their felt the same way when they saw that it was him with that double neck rocking out.

Whatta thrill! I'll always be grateful to him fee that gesture-- i think he was appreciative of the fact that i was the only one inna audience really SHOWING my appreciation. Mostly, Toronto audiences are pretty hands in pockets types. Thanks Link!
