  • Another good flash from the fine chap known as ‪@TeamMooreMafia‬ ... Chris took care of us, in and out in about 25 min... Got home and took it out for a spin and very happy with it! Got rid of the throttle lag, the fuel cut snatch, and the bike no longer shuts down early... it continues to make power and pulls harder, right to redline now...
    Next mods are a set of GB Racing engine case protectors, and its ready for a track day!

    I got my 22MT10 flashed at 2 wheel dyno works a little while ago and yeah that thing runs like a different bike now it's awesome. I was gonna send my ECU to Moore mafia but 2 wheel dyno works figured it out way before them they've worked on a ton of these bikes and they really know what they're doing.. they're on UA-cam.. great guys.

    Sounds to me like you got the desired results you were expecting 👍. I have a 20' Ninja 1000sx. Based on a video Chris did on it is really restricted. Like you, I'm gonna leave the exhaust stock. I will add an aftermarket can (Yoshi or Leo Vince) and get rid of the alien ray gun factory muffler. Since the bike is gonna remain stock I'll just send the ECU up to be flashed.
    Glad things worked out well for you. Ride safe

    You have "uncorked the Genie" by doing this, cranking clear to redline; obviously the manufacturer sets them up soft. Looks like FUN! Also nice to hear that you are staying with the stock exhaust; less annoying...

    I have a 2022 mt10, kept the stock exhaust other than swapping the silencer out for a radiant gp shorty. Was thinking about sending my ECU to Moore Mafia, your vid may have convinced me...

      I was gonna keep mine toned down, but part of the reason to get this bike, is that motor. So I just said fuggit and got the CAT delete and a shorty GP muffler from Leo Vince and called it a day.
      The flash really wakes this thing up!

    I just hit 570 miles on mine. I've got to change my oil. I want to do the mid pipe and computer flash because I love the sound of that engine. My first mod will be a Sargent seat because I can't find the Yamaha comfort seat anywhere.

    Considering the issue with the cruise control not working with the O2 sensors, you reckon a decat pipe would cause the same issue? My 10SP is about to arrive and I’m planning to put a full Akra or Arrow exhaust on it. I wouldn’t want it to mess with the cruise control though.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  8 місяців тому

      Honestly, the difference in power between the stock decatted system and a full system is only a few hp. For the money, and due to the issue with the O2 and cruise control, I opted for just doing a decat and then a tune. Didn't want to spend an extra $1500 for 4hp, it just wasn't worth it to me, especially if it throws the electronics off in the process. This isn't a bike where 3-4hp makes a difference...

    Did the flash get rid of the “v-tech” like power curve. Mine feels like it spikes in power on stock tune. Initial lower power then boom full power. Very strange, thanks for the video Chris Moore is awesome.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, it smooths out that lower part of the rev once you get rid of the exhaust valve and tune it.

    2wdw is one of the top mail-in ECU companies for the MT-10. They were saying that they made it a lot harder to tune the 2022 + models. Vcyclenut , another mail in ECU company commented that they have postponed ECU flashes because they haven't been able to crack the code yet. Sounds like the same issue that's going on with Chris, hopefully they can figure it out soon because I want a custom ECU flash for my bike. No mail in for me.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Рік тому +1

      Chris has already done some full dyno tunes on the new MT10. One was giving him trouble, but to be fair, the bike was having issues before it got there. it has been to 5 other dealers/mechanics and then made its way to Chris because nobody else could sort it.
      Woolich did crack the code for most things. Chris can get in and tune it, play with ignition, remap the ride by wire tables, eliminate top speed limits and fuel cut, etc...

    What is the max power and torque? Do you have any graph? On mine I had a problem with removing EXUP. I solved that issue and I am about to start tuning the bike by removing AIS and EVAP first. Any one knows anything on this (AIS EVAP)?

      We did not have time to put it on the dyno that day, unfortunately. At some point we will, and I will post the charts up. Going by what I have seen elsewhere, the flash in there should have it around 145hp at the wheel, give or take... If I do the Sprint filter and the decat, closer to 150 at the wheel...

    • @KHIJAPAN
      @KHIJAPAN Рік тому

      @@SquireSCA I think I can do far better than those numbers (150). Based on my experience with my 2022 MT-09 SP, most on the internet/UA-cam have 117Whp. I have stopped at 125Whp, thus around 140-143 engine HP. 168 kilos empty, 180 fully fueled with all liquids. At the moment my MT-10 is at 199 kilos fully fueled and I don't think I can go bellow that number unless I spend serious money. It doesn't worth it anyway. Last, I personally tune the bikes...

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Рік тому

      @@KHIJAPAN Do better how? 150hp at the wheel is nothing to sneeze at. Not sure how you got 125hp at the wheel on an MT-09. I have seen dyno runs of them with full exhaust and they don't even hit 120. Most are around 111-115hp at the wheel with full exhaust, sprint race filter and a full custom tune. There has to be more to it to get to 125. Headwork, cam, bump in compression, something... Tuning alone won't do it, as you aren't gonna come up with a magic AFR that any other tuner taking their time can't also achieve...

    • @KHIJAPAN
      @KHIJAPAN Рік тому

      If you have an email I can send you 2 dyno graphs from 2 different dynos.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Рік тому

      @@KHIJAPAN I do, you can email me through my profile here, on my "About" tab. I am curious what mods you did. 117 at the crank is stock, so they are usually around 104hp or so at the wheel. Add a filter, pipe and ecu flash tune and you normally get up to 114hp or so... For you to get another 10hp on top of that would have required more mods inside the engine, or, the dyno you used reads high, as some do.
      One of the dyno's near me, is at Livengood Motorsports. Brian does great work, but his dyno reads way high. A stock R6 with a slipon and power commander tune comes out making 126hp on his dyno, and 115-118hp everywhere else. He's not getting better results than other tuners, his dyno just reads high. So locally, I can always tell when someone used his dyno because their number is 10-15hp more than it should be...

    I like your comments on the emmessions regulations getting worse but for years motorcycles were left out of these systems but it's up to us to push back and hold these politicians to account for their actions . They take corporate money and do what they want. What we need is a list of politicians that have acted against motorcycling so we can all see it and just vote against those people.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Рік тому

      I am gonna play Devil's Advocate here... The politicians are going after bikes, because at the end of the day, they are internal combustion engines. To most politicians, an ICE engine polluting is an ICE engine polluting. Bikes put out less than cars, but with some pollutants, I forget which ones, bikes actually put out more than cars because bikes were largely ignored for many years.
      Now with the EU being all on the "The earth will die by next February from Climate Change if we don't tax, control and regulate the shit out of you" making these new standards required in order to sell, the manufacturers have no choice but to comply.
      Now that bikes are on their radar, its over. California has been going after Harley and Dynojet and exhaust manufacturers and they aren't going to stop. The EPA has been going after diesel tuners, and they won't stop.
      Some of this we bring on ourselves. The squids riding around town and rev-bombing everyone... The kids out coal rolling their trucks in traffic... These things stand out and put targets on our back, and once the gubment has that bone in its mouth, it ain't letting go... 😞

      @@SquireSCA sorry, in a hurry. No nuance to the question. Fueling is okay, you just wanted as many restrictions removed as possible? Cool. Thanks. I had a ‘20, but had to sell it last year. Things changed, so I may revisit the newer version. 👍

    Awsome bike but for a hyper naked not really up there with the big boys just yet

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Рік тому +2

      Well, depends on what you want. The others post bigger HP numbers, but the way a naked is typically ridden, I don't know that they are truly faster. Sure, if you are on a long straight and willing to get 150+ wind blast, the others might have a higher top speed... but on the road where there are turns, not so much. The ECU flash unlocks it quite a bit. A simple link pipe and flash gets you roughly 150hp at the wheel, which is no slouch. At some point, power becomes harder to manage, and can actually work against you and slow you down...
