This will be the last prerecorded video of me using the new model. For those who may not have seen the community post, tldr I tested out this new redesign of my model and it didn't click with me so I'm switching back to the old one. Apologies for some of the jankiness in the tracking as it was still a WIP.
15:22 Nope they're not related. You hit the mark exactly. Waluigi is just...a guy that happens to be a perfect fit as a foil to Luigi. He just kinda...showed up one day, and everyone had to deal with him. If anything that makes him even more fascinating. As another comment here states, Designing For has a great video on Waluigi.
My favorite part about him is that he... is nobody, nobody knows who he is, he has no origin, past, family, any friends, the only thing we know about him is that he became friends with Wario and hates Luigi and Mario, he's not even part of the star childs (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, Bowser, the current green Yoshi that appears everywhere which seems to be the most important and DK) He is not special, he does not seem to have a unique trait apart from his personality, he is not chosen by the stars, he is... nobody, He's just a lanky, erratic guy in purple clothes (although very physically talented and an excellent dancer) who became part of the "friends (?) of the chosen ones" group because... because yes, and that's it
Wario is super fascinating, his style and personality although it has a base pillar, tends to be slightly molded depending on the game's theme and gameplay, and viceversa, game mechanics can circle around him. The *vibe* of Wario differs significantly between WarioLand, WarioWare, and Wario as a guest character in party/sport games. Even more fascinating, the old WarioLand games themselves have gone as far as to inspire moden spiritual succesors, particular taking elements from WarioLand 4. A few recent indie titles that are inspired by this and can be jokingly referred to as *garlic-like* games are: Pizza Tower and Anton Blast, taking inspiration from Wario but also coming into their own identity.
Yes! More reaction to previously unknown lore! I love seeing the perspective of someone who has no real context but genuinely thinks about and appreciates the subject matter. And I can't wait for you to get to the Crash Bandicoot Designing For video with Neo Cortex if you ever do. Under the Kirby ones, that one is one of my favourites.
Wario and Waluigi are said to be just coworkers and in no way related, there are a few vieeos that dive into the whole story of waluigi but ro put it simply Waluigis first appearence was in mario tennis because wario needed someone to play with and he seemingly just happened to stumble upon waluigi and got him to play together
I feel like Get It Together didn't sell well because it was advertised as a spiritual successor to Smooth Moves. Normally this would be good... if it didn't mean you had to use joycons, especially after they already had a bad rep thanks to the drift. And it also meant you couldn't actually use the way better pro controller.
My man Wario is my favorite character in the entire series! ^^ Just the first character I have ever played as in Mario kart, just enjoyed the crazy silly dude! ^^
Love the reaction, dude!💛💜🤍Sadly, Wario truly is tragically underrated. If a non-Wario fan just barely breaks the surface of the "evil Mario" side of his life, they're so likely to see him as "just some gross man who eats garlic and farts a lot" when there's so much more depth and wholesomeness to his character! Sure, I may envision him as "the personification of the word 'putrid'" but that's beside the point!😅😂 If you want more Wario content, may I suggest the Wario vs. King Dedede Death Battle?
Ironically, I'm actually a huge fan of Wario World and it was a game I played over and over again as a kid. Unfortunately, I lost my copy at some point and buying another one is, uh, pricey, to say the least.
Love the new model! This was a really interesting character video about one of my favorite Mario characters. I played a lot of GameBoy Mario games, especially Wario Land 1! My favorite iteration of playing as Wario is the Mario 64 DS remake version. He just felt like Wario in it; a bit slower than Mario, not a high jumper, but far stronger than any other character. Also the WarioWare games are hella fun (even if I only really played Touched on DS lol)
Waluigi's had more character development since his debut in Mario Tennis for the N64, but he was originally just a guy Wario found hanging around the stadium who agreed to be his doubles partner.
i like how things changed so dramatically from wario being obsessed with princesses(probably due to wealth) he loses interest in girls to go spelunking and steal money, then he finally reaches his "True" self where he realizes "ill just make my own successful buisness and make money the right way" and he becomes SUCCESSFUL by doing that. he accidentally had an entire character arc.
Since you've been reacting to character analysis videos, I recommend Fatbrett and Ghostcharm, who both have videos about analyzing characters. Ghostcharm having a new video on Kefka, who is probably one of the best video games villains ever, from Final Fantasy six.
Not a fan of schaffrillas personally for a few reasons, but the essay was pretty good, same goes for the reaction as per usual. If you want to deepdive into Sonic lore, I still recommend Ace Card Gaming, TheMentok, HSquid Reviews and GamesCage. As for Mario lore, TheMentok also has plenty of good Mario videos, same with Designing For which you're already familiar with. Also, Gamexplain just recently released an hour-long analysis of the Mario Movie and why it was so good, and the Nintendo High series by Foozle is a excellent and wholesome adaptation of the Mario, and Nintendo, universe as a whole.
For the record, the WarioWare games aren't even remotely like Mario Party. Matter of fact, many of them aren't multiplayer. They're more like arcade style score attack games, where you try to clear as many microgames as you can in one of several stages before running out of lives.

yeah it didnt look right actually thought it was a completly other vtuber. old one is perfect in my opinion
I mean it fits the video. It is your evil doppelganger, The Legit Meebs.
@ The Legit Weebs lore expands yet again.

wtf is he gonna talk about? Waluigi is purple and tall like how Luigi is green and tall? Waluigi is just lesser shittier Wario
@@Hamantha you’d be surprised how much there is to talk about in regards to the Purple Man
There is a Game Theory regarding who is Waluigi and who are his family members, so I find it complicated.
@@JorgeOrtizSauc2Really?
I actually remembered playing Wario World and I think it had a pause screen with Wario going "Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh"

Designing For has actually made a Waluigi analysis and it’s probably the best one I’ve seen about the purple clad scoundrel

designing for has a fantatastic video about waluigi

You should check out the video Designing For made about Waluigi. Really goes in-depth on how others viewed him as the years went on.

Love all the breadth of lore you cover. Also, I hope you come back to Battletech soon!

Pizza Tower is inspired by Wario Land
If possible, Warioland 2, 3, and I guess 4 are great games to check out
Legit, you pick... WAAAAAAARRRRRRIIIIIIIOOOOOOOO!!!!
Ghostcharm has a great video on Luigi. I highly recommend all of his videos though. He’s excellent.

WA!
We miss Wario Land.
Wario world playthrough when?

MY DAUGHTER ASHLEY 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰!
The games kinda flip-flop on whether Wario and Waluigi are brothers or not, even if they still get called Wario Bros.
