So this is the place Lewis refers to when he says "back at the factory"
Yes. It's quite some team. A phenomenal team of course
Just thinking that
This comment is too good 🔥
Yes. He is humble person who deserves this massive support.
Good one 😄😄😂😂
2:41 Even the world champions need a bit of HAAS
How did you spot that!? Impressive hahah
I hope that that haas is not equal to mazepin😂
I see that the first time watching lol
Not the Mazepin kind though
That is Haas automation.
They make machines which help in manufacturing components
6:05 they got a whole nasa headquarters for 2 cars
Yes I had the same reaction to that (y)
There's a video where Sir Lewis visited the NASA Headquarters and remarked "We have a room just like this back at the factory."
Here's the link in case people are interested: ua-cam.com/video/qQ-AwFxdJX0/v-deo.html
Ha ha ha ha
I guess it's how they are able to come up with innovations that Horner and Helmut expediently report to the FIA lol
But they are really nice cars.
Kids, This is where the best cars in the history of F1 are made
man, i want to drive on that simulator
This ain’t maranello 😂😂🏎
@@theaerograndprix sorry mate but maranello is in the past
ps:Looks like you are a ferrari fan, what are you doing here??

*Haas Automation, you mean 😜
**happy foksmash door noises**
Christian horner is 100% watching this after lunch today
You bet! Not just Christian, Marko and ALL the Redbull F1 Staff as well. 😂
Red bull recruitment team
@@jastallion45 HAHA you made me spill my drink. Good one!
they got a team debrief coming up on this vid, bet
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As an engineer that does CnC for a living, that wall of milling machines was a beautiful sight to be seen. I can only imagine the privilege of working in such a state of the art factory.
Was thinking the exact same thing, the level of training you must get at this place must be unreal, Also Ive never seen a CNC workshop so clean😂 Normally oil, coolant leaks and swarf everywhere
Did you see the Haas CnC too? :)
It's privilege when you haven't earned it. It's deserved when you have earned the spot from hard work and skills.
All I saw was extra pressure not to crash the hell out of a machine :P
I used to work with CNC machines as well. These days 3D CAD parametric modelling is more my thing but I was definitely interested in seeing both setups in this video.
Thanks Mercedes AMG F1 for the view into the different departments of the team. These behind the scenes videos really highlight the high pace, hyper-precise and innovative nature of F1, and all the brilliant work your team does at the factory. Now we have a better idea of what it means when Toto says "they're working around the clock back at Brackley". As a fan, it's amazing to see, thanks for helping us understand what it takes to win in F1!
These insights are just a gigantic flex from Mercedes as they know they are to good for their competitors
We're really glad you enjoyed the video 🙏
@@MercedesAMGF1 hey merc which car was faster the f2004 or the w11 I think for the 2020 season Ferrari should have run the 2004 car
As an IT guy, I would die from satisfaction working here rather than in silicon valley. Keep pushing and inspiring guys, appreciate it!
IT: Toto did you try restarting the laptop?
Toto: Table smashes laptop to bits.
IT: We'll be right there.
That job would be just as boring there too. Shouldn't be any different.
Right!
@@ALAMPALLYSIDDHARTH It depends on your experiences tbh. When you do something for long enough, you just see it as normal but to outsiders or ppl that(in the same field but) haven't experienced it can be super exciting or like wizardry to them due to what they can do
No wonder Lewis always thanks 'the people back at the factory', it's incredible how much work they put in, and deserve as much credit as the track side team.
That's why I consider the modern 'Drivers Championship' to really be a 'Team Championship'. Lewis is the spearhead for something like 1000 plus Mercedes factory workers.
@@twillis449 Well it don't need to be because they already have the WCC, the Drivers Championship is more of appreciating the drivers.
The dislikes are from the staff that left for redbull.
You mean the rats.
@@lucascarpelli6954 professional people move round all the time. It helps them develop and get more senior roles.
For RB's defence
The left employees were part of the durability division so not much of a loss
those guys that left for RB are imposters
@@iqbalali5678 RATS!
Imagine going to work at Brackley, the production line that all that success is built on.
What we see on television is 20% of what actually goes behind to be at the pinnacle of F1 world.
Thank you Mercedes to give us a closer look to the sport we love so much.
I would say it's less than 5%, even in the race there are so many things happening behind the scene that we never get to see.
It’s not even 20% They only show the cars driving around the track but sometimes do show us some repair work and talks about technical stuff. I would say it’s like less than 5%
@@apophisstr6719 Yeah definitely 5% or less, considering 60 or so people attend races, and there are 1,000 people at the team
more like less than 1%
@@MercedesAMGF1 omg I got an official reply LOL, but yea, I really wish we could see more, and I promise I'm not a spy from RBR or Ferrari :3
We need a movie about the people behind the scenes. That would be a great one to watch. Anyway, to whom can I send my resume ? :)
Just go there
careers.mercedesamgf1.com/vacancies/
Quite a few positions up for grabs at the moment actually
The people in the Mercedes factory can be featured in the future episode of the F1 series "Drive to Survive"
@@Alkem1st There is just one problem for me. I am not qualified for any of those jobs. Damn, I knew I should have stayed at school longer.
I STILL can't get over the fact that you re-paint the cars for every single race...
Well, most races they get repainted fully but if it's a flyaway or particularly tricky back to back, we'll send a team of paint technicians out to the track with their equipment to respray parts of the car and touch-up the livery
I think that one reason for the repainting are the aerodynamic effect. During a race, the surface of the car gets dirty and damaged. The new painting layer restores the perfect aerodynamic condition and this can be the difference between victory and defeat.
That much work goes on each and every tiny things. thats the reason Lewis is always referring Back at the factory and they will be happy at the precious moment. and thier effort is clearly shown which is Lewis feels straight away. A little appriciation at work makes great progress.
5:55 When you even optimize painting efficiency. You guys are something else!
This was easily the best F1 video of the year.... man I LOVE MERCEDES
Wow this comment is amazing, thank you! 🙏
That's why I love this team, They are hard working, they are humble, they are smart and we can see how they achieved so much in the sport... While some people whining about FIA helping them to reach here or some other BS, but 7 consecutive world titles are not coincidence and only a nearly perfect team could manage it.
I will one day tell my kids
"This is Disneyland"
😂
Lewis doesn't get in the simulator room too often so they put pictures of him on the computer to simulate his presence. This is the very first step before the cloning...
Timestamp?
@@AmirulEhsan 7:06
We all know what happened to Lewis the last time he went into a simulator...
The machine learning has now learned how to drive as Lewis well enough to simulate him. Soon you will be able to engage Lewis as your Drive Pilot in Mercedes road cars.
He does not do the simulator..
As a senior ME student, this shows just how awesome of a workplace this is, it really is an engineering company that in my opinion implements science and engineering that far trascends the motorsport is involved with. The amount of patents and new designs these guys produce I think more closely resembles an aerospace company than a motorsport team.
its a dream for me to work in the merc f1 factory....
Aston Martin taking notes from this like: Ctrl+ C => Ctrl+V

Amazing Team of Amazing People
This video has motivated me a lot. I seriously want to work in this factory a state of art
This is why you are the top dogs of the sporting world. I’m watching this with my 3 yr old. 🤞🏾she takes an interest!!! Thanks Merc! The Best Or Nothing!
7:54 this tone gives chills 🔥❤️
I want to be an F1 engineer now ❤️❤️this place is so beautiful
This is why you can’t beat these guys.
from this video you know that there are a lot i mean a LOT of people involved in an F1 team
Yep, 1,000 people at Brackley! 😮
Oo
A far cry from the day when you could build an F1 car in the back garage of your lumber business as Ken Tyrell did.
No doubt this team is the best !!!
I’m lucky to have received a tour of the factory some 6 times and watched the race from there too. It always amazes me to see the developments at the factory too - it’s always expanding.
Omg. I would like to work with these team. They have the attitude of true leadership and they deserve it 👏. Kudos.
As a engineering student I'm grateful to have a free visit at Brackley , thanks for the vid Mercedes 🙏🏼

I freaking love these videos that go more in depth of F1 apart from just the races. All of the engineering, technology, and teamwork to create something amazing
Mercedes AMG sets the standard for excellence in Formula1. This is really inspiring, the investment that you have made in finding the best talent in the Engineering and the contributions to innovating the sport of Formula1.

I am learning so much about Formula 1 because of this team.
Thank you so much Mercedes for existing and sharing.
Thanks for taking the time and resources to put this together. It's truly incredible. 👍😀👍
2:41 Did you collaborate with Haas?🤔
Hass is a machine tool builder type of company.. its not a really stretch to see one on a machining area of merc factory.
@@HikiKnight yeaahh...in F1 drive to survive they said about them and gene haas
In the CNC (Computational Numerical Control) Machine world, HAAS provides one of the best CNC machines on the market. Its not difficult to spot HAAS CNC machines in big companies who operate CNC machines
@@junrenong8576 I hate to tell you but haas are probably middle range. There are much higher end European machine builders like Kern.
Haas is a CNC machine manufacturer.
Get in there Mercedes! What a video, mate...Awesome!!
Love this! It's so interesting to see the massive amount of work and resources that goes into putting two cars on the track.
Wow! Hats off to all those people. To see the culmination of their hard work on a Sunday is amazing! Keep racking up the 🏆
This is really a state-of-the-art factory. Wow.. Just wow 👍👍
Love you Mercedes f1 team!! Keep up the hard work you all do!
Imma be your conspiracy theorist and propose that Mercedes made this video exactly 8min long to foreshadow them winning their 8th title.
I like how your brain works. :-)
Yesssss😂😎
thank you thank you thank you! It's now my dream to watch a race from the RMR
Hopefully in future I may be able to visit Brackley.
This absolutely amazing to see a piece of what is happening behind the scenes. I'm amazed how many people is involved when comes to build F1 car. Thank you!
More of that, please!!
It's like all this time I've been waiting for you with my open eyes!! 😁
Lovely tour!!
Looks like you guys at Brackley have a busy factory. Just how I imagined. Finest professionals with the finest equipment. Pure focus on being the best. Truly impressing! Fan since '17.
Thanks for sharing. It's always interesting to see behind the normal tv coverage & gives you a chance to understand the need for a big workforce.
Impressive facilities though, the extent of this makes me feel that other smaller teams dont stand a chance so I'm kinda emotionally torn...still amazing work, thank you for sharing this, it's very inspirational
They don't stand a chance at the moment. The gap is too wide but in the future, as more people are skilled and rotated between teams, the rate of innovation will improve I bet. not only at Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari but across the board.
@@zintlemvana7955 I get were you're coming from, but I disagree.. some stand a chance but its slim. What Mercedes is say to other teams is "up your game, this is what it takes to stand were we do". I do agree that the rotation will create more opportunities to close that gap
Meanwhile, Williams is thinking about getting a second dot- matrix printer....
Good job guys! 💙 Mercedes
awesome to see how much work and effort and how many people are involved to be on top in F1.
Thank you for the chance to take a look behind the scenes 💪👍
