Dude, thanks so much for the video and information. Really enjoyed the extra curriculum activity of getting shocked! Looked painful enough to make me watch the whole thing and wasn't a waste on your part. New subscriber now. Love from California.
This is what Greg said: "It is three-ply black bird netting. I got it from an orchard in South Australia that had an oversupply and were selling it on EBay"
This is exactly what we are needing to do on our Orchards. We are losing so much fruit to the birds and wildlife. I know we are losing more to raccoons than birds and they are very smart animals. They can chew through chicken wire and the netting like hot knife through butter. The electric fence will help out amazing. Looks like we will need 4-5 runs for them. 3 very low and 2 at the netting line. Thanks for making this video. New subscriber.
If I want to install the hot wire on top of the fence to deter the racoon, should I put the ground wire together in a few inches so that they step two wires together? What if the racoon only touch the hot wire on top of the fence, does it get shocked? Thanks!
HA HA HA HA HA! "OWWWWW!" HA HA HA Why is it so funny to see someone get knocked on their can? Not funny to see a critter shocked but the guy who installed it? THAT is just hysterical!

Getting shocked and seeing the reaction on your face was not only worth the price of admission but priceless as well.
2.02 is where this video truly earns its upvote lol.
Would love to know what netting you're using--maybe a link to buying it? Thanks!
I will have to check with Greg. Regards

@@Higrosol Ah, ok. I went with "deer fencing" sold by Tractor Supply. Works great. Plastic but very durable.
Good sport for keeping the shock treatment !! Haha , I’ve done that many a time on my horse fence , it’s funny when it’s not you !

I am glad you found the video useful. Just be careful with the electric fence :-)
I got shocked through the top of my bald head once. I nearly chipped my teeth. 😆😆😆
Great work on the chook run 👌👌

Each if the wires is live. You need only touch one.
Lots of useful info. Thanks.
Great information.
2:28 Reaches with trepidation! LOL I wonder why? :)
Check online primitive snare traps. You can modernize it but set it at night and see what happens. You might get some nice fox vest

1x1 wire is best. Just ditch the chicken wire completely, chicken wire is for chicken not for predators:)
Thanks Jasmine. Good point.
Please see my comments at 04.05 about using the heavy duty chicken wire. You are correct about the cheap thin chicken wire.
Bonus points for the shocking video!
Were battling bears, smh!
2:03, lol hahaha
You won because you outfoxed a fox.
Are u ok?? Hahaha
