We work very similar (for sheep, so with a sheep fence, 90cm high and bigger maze).
We do since a few months 1 thing very different (apart from a non solar powered, 12V energiser as we mover every day). A pre-streched rebar is used with an insulating tube over it. The advantage is that, when you have to make multiple corners, you can hammer them in and it always fits as you don't need the build-in plastic ones to hold the fence upright in the corners.
I was suspicious at first. But it works like a charm and with between 30 and 50 nets moved every week, a minute time won is importand

So where's the gate? In other words, how do you get in to tend to the chickens?

It's like the freaking elephant in the room eh. I guess you turn the fence off, undo all those ties, go in close again and collect the eggs. Come back put eggs on the ground open the fence, pick up the eggs, carry them through, put them on the ground, close the fence. 😂
I would not buy a product from people who do not come back to their videos and reply to these questions.
There is also no demonstration about how easy it is to move the fence so it's probably not.

Can you hook a regular electric charger to it ? Or does it have to be solar ?

No mention of driving at least one six foot steel rod into the ground near the energizer to ground the system? On Vancouver Island we need at least two rods in series for effective grounding. And of course when the netting is moved to fresh grass the rods need to move or new ones need to be pounded in.

Do you close the chicken caravans up at night or will these fences allow you to leave them open. Also do you have problems with eagles or other birds of prey?

Looks good but here in Ireland grass grows fast from spring to Autumn and I wonder would this system not be ideal then as the circuit would be shorting out all the time.

Hi Joe. I am over in West Cork and just last week lost 7 large hens (all different true breeds) and 9 out of 14 Muscovy ducks to the fox. Only ever lost 4 in 4 years and now all these at one go, I am gutted. The blessed fox was coming at 2 in the afternoon! All the birds free ranged and put to their houses at night. I am now giving away the Muscovy's and the Pekin bantams as they are now kept cooped up and I hate doing this. Might start again next year in summer and will consider the electric fence, problem is I live on mountainous ground, although with grass, the rock is fierce hard.
If you ever try a fence, will you let me know if it is any good?
      Best wishes, Mike

What’s stops the chicken flying over the fence? Do you have to clip all the wings?

Presentation appears less applicable in Florida, USA; the grass grows too fast unless changing layout frequently, especially during rainy season. Still electrification is a good recommendation for anti-predator fencing. Chicken hawks predator in Australia?

Growing the fence is not permanent so it can be move around, plus the chicken caravan is on wheels so that is not permanent either :)

You said that the grass must be cut first as it interferes with the product. But grass grows,so does that mean that you need to constantly move the fence to cut the grass. I also would have liked to know how do we get in as there was no gate and is the voltage dangerous to children etc etc etc. Personally I'm disappointed in this video as it didn't cover many important factors. So sorry I'm not subscribing.
