To everyone sleeping on this have because you heard something bad about the handheld resolution, please give it a try. I’ve been playing in handheld and the game still looks great on a small screen. The story, characters, and gameplay is too good to pass up as well.
80$ for a sub 540p game in 2020 is quite expensive for a "try". I wish there was a demo available.

@Jigs well it's a remastered version. New graphics, new content. Same with pokemon Fire red and leaf green. Remastered versions of red, blue and green (Japan only)

@Paul Aspland Fire Red and Leaf Green were remakes. Everything, including the graphics and engine were rebuilt from scratch. They even included all the Pokemon from past versions (not just Red and Blue). They aren’t even the same game.
Honestly hearing the Approaching The End theme remaster coming on at 0:48 nearly made me cry with how beautiful the remaster is

@@eagleeyeliz3417 this is still the best way possible to play this game officially, man. Compare it to the Wii and 3DS' resolutions, this is still better. You can play the OG in Full HD on Dolphin, but you'll lose all aditional content.
There are so many other good Wii games that will need to be ported to Switch and get the same treatment as Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
some examples: The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, MadWorld, Fragile Dreams, Arc Rise Fantasia ..
without mentioning the Mario and Zelda games

to anyone sleeping on this, i played through the 90hour story on a 30inch fat crt tv in 2011 on the wii when I was 12 with my mentally ill mom constantly nagging me to make her coffee or get off and still had the capacity to recognize the masterpiece of this game

My first impresion is that the music is beautiful, i'm excited to learn more about the characters too :)
Don't hesitate, just go buy the game already. I can't put into words how spectacular this series is, it's easily worth every penny and every second put into it. It's actually Nintendo's best franchise but for some reason y'all aren't ready for that talk yet.
Now I am curious what the Xenosaga series would look like remastered.
I've never played Xenosaga, but I have KOS-MOS as a blade in XC2. I'm curious about her games now tbh.
Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my most favorite games of all time. I'd recommend this masterpiece to any RPG fan. Xenoblade Chronicles has one of the best stories in video games.

I've played a little bit of future connected, and I have to say I enjoy the torna music better, even though they're similar styles.
Playing through it for the first time right now and I'm shocked by how good this game is. This one of the best JRPG I've played. The story, characters, visuals, and combat are all so good.
The Definitive Edition is such an improvement over the original, unlike the half-assed Skyward Sword HD.
yeah this one looks more like the graphic stype from xenoblade chronicles x. they definitely changed a lot.
Hopefully XCX, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower get the same treatment on Switch

This time, you could do it without having him actually look naked, since they now allow "cosmetic" equipment to be independent of actual equipment.
This gives me the chills all over again.
Just received my copy and I'M LOVING this game!
The best part is that they made naked Dunban viable again thanks to the armor cosmetics being separated from the stats.
In fact, everyone can be a huge naked family together. I'm really feeling it.
