"I have no f*** clue who I am, but I have never felt more myself being no one" Best answer
Agreed
as one should, as One should💅
I know what she means ❤
that gave me goosebumps all over ! That's freedom. A beautiful place to be
"This life is really a joke... you got to laugh to keep from crying"
I agree with that but you should also let out the cry as much as you can or it will come out at some random time in life.
I agree with you 💯
I cry even now when I think of my sibling fully understanding this.
"Nobody would be interested in who I am"
"You'd be surprised!"
That First Gentleman seems to have insight into himself, which is fascinating.
Everyone has insight into themselves, just depends on how well they can articulate it and if they want to share.
That first dude is definiately storyteller, very poetic.
@@PlumpPotatoRump that’s fair, maybe it was the articulation that was fascinating.
Calling himself “cheater, Peter Pan, and Captain Hook” was somewhat self vilifying- which takes healthy confidence coexisting with a lack of Ego, which his rare.
Not many people can admit where/how/why they’re wrong.
@@therockbottom5256 Totally agree here ! And he self vilifies without sinking into it, or not showing it perhaps?
@@PlumpPotatoRump I think every human has a mix of captain hook and peter pan within themselves. Hes just come to accept it, and thats probably why he is so calm. The way he described it was really poetic like ur reply said above, and he just seems really nice and wise. I would like to talk to him over coffee and pick his brain for a while, he seems like an interesting guy.
A soul in a human body that just doesn't understand this world at all.
Yessss ❤
We just need to know the universal laws for all souls and understand how they work. :)
Its interesting that there are always two ways to answer this question... Some say their Names, their professions and others talk about their emotional state and story
->Its so interesting to spectate...
It's always been enabled in us, to describe ourselves as our credentials, our achievements, what people see us as. It makes me sad at times for others, when they have been brainwashed into thinking they are only what they have accomplished ❤
Agreed. Another good question I've heard before here on UA-cam (not this channel) is the question "What do you do?" Same reactions as to this question.
@thefantacyencephalon Simultaneously, it is seen as "arrogant" to compliment ourselves. We learn a lot of SHAME from home, around adults, and then children replicate this behavior on the playground and in school. So we grow up as a shell of ourselves and have existential crises in search of that person we lost usually within our quarter century and half century years.
Right, who you are isn’t what you do, yet you may do what you do because of who you are.
I'm 50, a father, a husband, a hard worker, a dreamer, a pleasure seeker, a helper, a nature lover, and everything in between but when I listen to myself, I always hear the 17 yo me. That's the truest me that has ever existed.
This touched me, God bless you my friend 💜
I’ve always said “who are we but a collection of our experiences?”
You’ve described the personality. Is that all we are? Just personalities?
All of that and none of that. 💗
Beautiful!!
@@ahmadkibwana-jaff5232 I wouldn't say that that's just a matter of personality. We end up with experiences that are led by who we truly are at the end, just weaving through life on earth, led by a bigger force within. And later we can look at "ourselves" and say "this is who I've been. These are the x number of lives I have lived, and x number of people I have become".
“i’ve had a few different lives that I’ve lived, and right now I’m living my happiest” aw omg made my heart melt 😭💜
I am just a moment. A moment walked past in the street, a moment spent sharing a drink at a bar, a moment sitting next to each other waiting for an appointment. I share with the world individual moments. And in the end, I am the sum of these moments.
I work in crowd management in a high people flow environment. There are so many moments in one shift….thank you for your comment. 100%.
Damn!!
Beautifully said
thats such a beautiful way to describe i feel the same!
wow beautiful answer thank you
We're just spirits having a human experience
And if you strip everything away, all you remain is light. The purest form of light.
once we return, and have some concept of who we truly are....that is going to be insane
it's pretty sweet. Have you ever died before? I have... it's been tough being back here lol she's right, the lady at the end, it really is a joke sometimes
@@thehumancheshirecat yo wdym you've died before?
@@thehumancheshirecat say more. and something about chesire cats...
I agree with you 100%
Shoutout to Thoraya. What I would give to have the call your crush series back tho😭
I miss and love that series
Seeing people get a date or the closure they needed was beautiful
@@morganbaldwin4828 I got a lot of secondhand anxiety from that lol. but it was interesting
So many heros in this clip. The artist painter military survivor was so honest and admirable.
Remove the ego, remove the I, simply "AM"
A soul❤
Right. A soul with a body not just a body with a soul.
BINGO. Most people don’t truly understand this and only identify with their bodies/history/personality/behavior.
YES
I love all the disarmed looks at the start. It's like your question was a koan moment, revealing a ✨glimpse✨ into the essence of the person.
"Who would care?" That one hits hard 😢
I remember facing the “who am I question in my early 20s” and I decided - who I am is who I choose to be 🌺
Beautiful 🪷
i faced it at 13-14... It was so scary but now I know that Im not defined by anything. Ready to highschool with this in mind..
The first person said "you're welcome" as if he was saying thank you for asking.
Damn! That first guy, was fricking poetic!
We are NOT defined by the tiles we hold or the roles we play
I wanted to say that we are not what we do
“I’ve never felt more myself being no one” wow, such good stuff. Every person, so much value. Thank you for shining a light, Thoraya, completely unique and so necessary! Love love love this!
She asked "who are you?"
And most responded with what they do, produce, or their name.. this woman who said "beautiful".
We are children of the Cosmos, products of joy, parents of Art. We are life.
Sometimes you gotta laugh from crying. And sometimes you just need to be Quiet and actually face the true issues within yourself.
This was the deepest question, but at the same time it was eye opening and really beautiful to watch ❤
Someone once asked me (as an icebreaker), "what is the meaning of life." I answered, "this question is its own answer; the meaning in life is found in the search for its meaning." I'd argue that once we use labels to define ourselves, we can no longer be free to live and grow.
Beautifully said
I'm a survivor, much like the main character in an action film who defies the odds and makes it through. I don't understand why I was destined to survive despite the overwhelming odds that were stacked against me.
❤ Wishing you all the best ❤
3:23 Way more than a killer... I hope you continue to feel like you have found your home, wherever you go. Much love to you, and thank you.
I resonate with that guy that served in the military….for many years I hated, was trained to hate by the military, lived a sad life…and now I just want to live, laugh, love…enjoy the simple life stuff…
I'm glad you were able to get past the hate. 💜
I wish I could do what you do, I have loved your channel for so long. Thanks for everything you do
Try doing it in your neighborhood your community ❤ people love opening about themselves and sharing perspectives. I am sure they would appreciate someone listening to their story ❤
I am an old soul in a human body, living another life on this earth
Phathiswa Nombuso Nosikelelo Magangane we see you our fellow South African
a couple years ago, I was on a business trip with a couple of colleagues and my boss. when we sat down for dinner and wine one evening he looked at me for a couple of seconds in silence and said „I feel like I haven‘t really figured out who you are…so tell me, who are you? what makes you you?“ and to this day, I haven‘t figured out an answer for that question. that was over 4 years ago. I‘ve lived through so much in 26 years of life but I still don‘t know and I think of that question almost every single day. not a week goes by that I don‘t think of that question.
so what answers have you come up with so far? :)
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video from Thoraya and not shed a tear; it has become a thing now when i need a “cleansing session” as i call it, i come here and just let myself loose; receptive to any and every feeling possible.
Thank you love ♥️you’re an angel among us.
Love the first guy. Knows the truth about himself.
The face expressions at the beginning of the video are fascinating
I knew that was gonna be the question. It is typically the hardest for us to answer.
I am a sovereign light being-here to experience this life and find joy and beauty on this planet………..Thank you so much for your presence Thoraya! You are a blessing!
A soul in a temporary vessel, made from divine light ❤ here to spread love and smile's ❤
Its telling and beautiful how no matter how much intelligence and words you know ...this question can only be answered in the most elementary way. Clarity is key.
This is UA-cam.
Like my mom Grace used to say, " To the one asking, I am whoever u ran into today" Depending on how u make them feel, by that will u be defined. No matter wat u say,we project en get triggered on first encounters. But if I ask myself the question, I can comfortably answer, I'm just a happy good human to my boys, husband and colleagues. 😊
I wish I could hug the guy who said he feels like Harry Potter 🎉❤
Loved seeing and hearing a fellow South African 🇿🇦
might cry in school
Edit: Im about to graduate high school in a couple weeks. Finding out who i am has been a struggle my whole life because I can’t make friends or keep them. I never knew what i was good for. But now that I’m graduating I’m finding who I am and I know that I am okay and better off without friends.
I’m 25 and making that discovery now, I always felt like everyone was superior to me and I was level 0 on “friendship”…
Now that I’m older I’m realizing that nobody knows who they are or how to have friends, and everyone is some type of toxic or insecure. Learning who you are to yourself, when you’re alone, is the first step.
Everyone is just as confused as you are ❤
I relate to that. I didn't have friends for a long time, but through that experience I learned who I was. I developed a lot of self confidence and knew that, even if no one Else liked me, I liked myself. Now I easily get along with many different people. They call me their friend and I help them to grow and thrive. It's alright if we're in each other's lives for a brief moment, as long as I can show them that good people still exist and that they can be loved, that's all that truly matters.
The way I've always thought of myself is that I dance to the beat of my own drum.
I was not expecting the first guy’s response at all. I’d❤to have a conversation w/him. “The boy who lived”💔😭.
When my niece was four years old, she asked a lot of really deep questions. "Why do we have butts? And why do pirates only have parrots? There's plenty of room for other animals on those ships..."
Thoraya, your videos are truly amazing and always so touching. It feels so good to know you’re not the only one out here going through things in life. Your videos are emotional but yet bring so much joy. I look forward to seeing these! Keep up the amazing work you do! ❤
You meet the best people!! I wait for your posts. I love your channel!!

@Thoraya Thank you for what you do for this world! I really appreciate you & love who you are & I truly love what you do.
I have followed your page for a very long time now.
& THIS is absolutely your BEST Question asked YET❣️
Thank you Thoraya💛
Who are you, Thoraya???
This is the ultimate question! Trying to understand this question with honesty, has guided me beautifully through life, I am very grateful for being alive.
I love this channel so much! This was an especially lovely episode in nyc!
I found your channel, maybe a couple of weeks ago and watched several of your videos! I find your videos to be helpful, I’ve been struggling with betrayal, and other things, and I know there’s so many more people that have worse problems than me, and there’s a history of other stuff, but seeing and listening to other people, and their reactions are somewhat helpful. It’s hard to explain, but the way you capture them, every one of them is so beautiful, a lot of hurt people, that hurt people by people that hurt! Or the ones that should love you the most!
To the guy who was so creative and then said he was a killer: whether you signed up to be in the military or not, you were placed there for a reason, you survived for a reason. You did as you were assigned, you served your country. I'm sure it's extremely painful, I have worked with healing and grief with military men and police officers who have PTSD. Strive for peace of the Soul, through meditation and self affirmation. You are more than that experience. God Bless.
Thank you, this resonates…
I empathize with him as a person cause he feels guilty or not seen ….. but the killing the us is doing in other countries is not self defence it’s to exploit other countries so us citizens can live a lavish lifestyle, if you are an American you should wake up and not allow this, this man is sad because his country made him do things that never should’ve happen in the first place.

@@Just-99me Well we are awake, at least half of us are. US is a very large country, it's only 1% that live "lavishly". The rest of us are working to just make ends meet.

Thoraya, an immense thank you for these wonderful videos!! 🥹
Great Video, Thoraya!
Thank you for asking this question! I have always been fascinated by people and all the different stories we have to tell.
A lot of people believe their lives are ordinary and that no one would be interested in them, but everyone's ordinary is different. Beauty often lies in the way someone sees the world, the way they think, the things they create. People are fascinating and everything that makes us different makes us beautiful.
Stop seeing things as ordinary, and you will discover beauty everywhere.
❤ this
As a therapist, I have too many answers 😂
Thoraya, you NEVER FAIL to remind me of how much I love every single human being! Like girl! The streams of tears i cried while watching your videos? Them rivers! 😂✌️ And all because you remind me of that love! I couldn't thank you enough! I love you and your work so much! Thank you!! ❤❤❤
Out of all the episodes I’ve watched this has been the most enjoyable.
First, THANK YOU SO MUCH THORAYA❤I really love what you do, all the videos, BUT definitely this one in particular because the fact that its so relatable in so many ways but specifically with this question cause sometimes when were “young” or “younger” 20/30s..me 34…i feel so alone lately in this thought of who am I next to people(same age frame and even younger) who seem like they know themselves or are on a path of so much assurance of where they are in their lives that i get very down about it, sometimes dark kind of down. Then to see this and see beautiful people of all ages and walks in the SAME mindset or moment of being unsure..just so amazing to know we ARE not all alone. We are ALL feeling some kind of insecurity (or security in the unsure) in one way or another. Some kind of heaviness. Its a reminder for all BE KIND TO YOURSELF..we are all here figuring it out and the abyss of life is an unknown to all..but you WILL get through it and you will understand just a tiny bit more of yourself and you will be even better for it. Through the good and the bad. You are loved, whoever relates to this.
If you caught me on the street and asked me that question I literally probably would've dissolved into ash
Just adore this site . Its magical. Great job. U need to hear it !! You bring everyone together in such a beautiful unique way. We r all the same really !!!❤
Thoraya, you have outdone yourself once again. Even thinking about that question myself, I started to cry. Complex. Keep it up, girl ❤
I think it’s my favorite from you!! So touching 🥺💛
You have something good going on here. Keep it up! It helps to know others have the same problems, fears, darkness, and light in their lives.
As soon as the nigerian girl said "I'm stunning", I knew she was nigerian. That confidence just oozes out of us
This is such a beautiful video with so many beautiful souls.
This is the best place on the internet! To see into other peoples eyes, here their stories and to find peace in the connection we all share as humans. This question "Who are you?" could be the ONLY question being asked and it would never be boring to listen to the answers from people all over the world. Empathy could heal us all! Thoraya, keep finding and sharing those meaningful stories. Sending you much love and to all that are touched by your amazing work here!

Loved the last girl, such a vibe 🙌🏾
Very nice video. But first and foremost: thank you very much for adjusting the music’s volume 🫶🏻
I commented under one of your other videos that I would love to listen to the people’s answers but just can’t focus on their voices due to the music being so loud and omg, it’s so much better on this one. Really appreciate it! ❤
Love the first man. Thank you for sharing and being honest.
I find any answer to "Who are you?" fascinating if/when it is answered athoughtfully/uthentically. I have read biographies and autobiographies my whole life (I am 65) in order to get insights into who I might become. That suggests I knew on some level that I was not all that I could be.
I am so thankful for the kind of work you do and for all the wonderful souls who thoughtfully answered your question, on camera. I found the responses satisfying and gratifying -- it feels good to witness another being expressing who they are or where they are in their understanding of that, when you can feel the authenticity of it in its complexity.
I love your channel
Thank you so very much for these videos Thoraya. I truly mean it. 🙂

Best question ever. Enjoyed this the most by far
"I'm nobody. I don't exist."
Charles Manson
I could watch these interviews with this exact question all day long. I'd then go about my normal business and come back to this "show" again and again. All the people you never meet, you do meet on Thoraya's shows. Thank you, Thoraya.
Bless us all!!! Love from Trinidad!!!
I am infinite energy and consciousness experiencing itself through this human plane of existence. An ocean in a drop. A part of the one. Earthbound answer: father, husband, son, friend, writer, creator, artist, lover, fighter, human.
Makes me think of The Who's song "Who Are You"... An important question we all must ask ourselves from time to time. 💛
This is the best question yet! I think another great question would be (and if you who's reading has watched or follows "The Minimalist" on UA-cam, then you'll know) "What do you do?" See how most people will instinctively answer with job titles and what they do for work. But tje real question is... What do YOU DO?
❤
i'm the universe experiencing a guy
I too feel like we are there for the universe to experience itself
The best answer so far.
Such beautiful question, so many beautiful answers. We are in relations to others and other stuff (wife, mother, dancer...). And then the feeling like I am all I ever felt, all I ever seen, every place and person, word and song, sun and air, body and soul, nothing and all. I am. We are.
This video really moved me in a way so different from your other vids. And also I would love to hang out with the black woman from Brooklyn. She seems to be so open hearted *_*
thank you love !
Oh. Is it really you or are you just claiming to be that person?
wow the first guy. that message was profound and on time in wild ways. humans are vast contradictions. never underestimate the power your wisdom holds as an individual, even as a random stranger.
We are all simply the sum of our upbringings and our pasts. It transforms into who we are right now.
That’s what I’m going through too! 2024, I’m finally beginning to find out who I really am. It terrifying and exciting to discover you don’t need to live up to anyone expectations or dreams and ideals except for your own!! There is way too much pressure on everyone especially those who seek an authentic life. We live in a world ruled by money and hierarchy. That’s doesn’t make us happy!!!
Love the Second Lady! Her answer was 🎯🎯🎯
I am eternal, full of bliss and knowledge.
First Gentleman understood few things in my eyes !
I’ve got operated twice at my head and understood few things or still learning about life everyday.
And the sense of being alive and the view you evolve is just different .
It’s a difficult question because we re not teached or living towards finding ourselves.
Love your videos
Hope you are best at health and everything working out in your sense !
Who I am is a constant evolution. Who I am now is literally different from who I was 1 minute ago because I live through my experiences and my goal is to make the best out of it and sometimes you get a boost by a stranger asking you this very question.
Question suggestion: What was school like for you?
That's a good question!
Oh dude! Your answer is exactly why people DO find the question interesting!
Great answer ❤
