    Born in 1980. We are almost the same age. My last bet was exactly 35 days ago. Ive lost hundreds of thousands gambling. Credit card cash advances almost ruined me. I have a huge amount of money to pay back and it seems like I will be paying it off forever. You are not alone in this... my best suggestion is to please fill your time with something fulfilling like volunteering. Volunteering is so amazing.. If you have any animal rescue or shelters inquire if you can help out. Itll make you feel accomplished with your time instead of disgraced.

      Love the ghost grey girl around the wee hours of the morning who sits next to you and strikes up a conversation; she is sugered up on the free pop/soda and always asks to borrow $5. Most addicted to gambling people know that in a long run they will lose. The only way to keep it under control is to pay all your bills first and only gamble with what you can lose. @@RiveraVvV-n2lno. It isn't. Christians have the most trouble with stuff. For example most of my family on my moms side is devout pentecostal. 2 are pastors. The 2 pastors have darks pasts and I'm not sure how they are doing these days but adultery, drugs and being a gang member is in their history. Jesus and all religions have great utility meaning the idea of any god can help you but that doesn't mean it's real. I was a Christian for over 10 years. I know the bible more than most Christians. To beat any addiction you just need willpower and a solid support system. Trust me I know cuz I've done it.

Just 2.5 years ago i couldnt do a single pullup. No drugs or juice or trt. Just grass fed beef, broccoli, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, protein powder, sweet potatoes, other fruits and vegetables, white rice, collagen powder, sometimes chicken and other foods but those are my staples! I love the gym and can't stand missing a day. I love it. It makes me feel great and the ladies love it. Total fat ass and bad attitude and unhealthy to super fit, dorito v shape and look forward to every day! I have plenty of cheat days to enjoy food with cheesecake and pizza and i never gain fat. The muscle keeps the metabolism on fire. I never thought in a million yeArs i would turn in to a gym bro. Its awesome!!! Skin glows and look great. gambling is a hard addiction.. because unlike other additions , you can always keep yourself going somehow by thinking "i only need to get really lucky just once !".. with alcohol addiction or p*rn addiction, i don't think anyone would think that "tomorrow i might reach my goal and i can stop".. with gambling, however remote and unlikely.. there is always a 0,0001 chance that tomorrow will be the "jackpot".. That makes it so much harder to quit, i think, also on a subconcious level.

Get out the environment. Relocate to an area with no casinos. You sound like me. You won't stay away even though you want to. You have to take action. Move to a place with no casino. Or surrender your finances to a family member.

    Hi bud, can I make a suggestion? You’re doing this because you get a high.. much more to it, but that’s the basis. I highly recommend replacing gambling, with something else that is productive and provide some satisfaction. Try flipping stuff on whatnot.. it’s an ap. Go buy stuff at thrift stores from game cards to vintage t shirts.. bargain w ppl.. make friends.. then start an online store/presence and flip these items. It will be a somewhat healthy route to get you feeling good.. and it’s exciting.
    Second suggestion if you hate that one, would be to move to Alaska, where there are zero casinos and get a job on the pipeline. Good pay, no gambeling, but can get very depressing due to little sunlight, so I’d go for the 1st option.
    You need something to replace your addition, something productive.
    And , try Church. No joke at all, I was severely addicted to alcohol for 22 years and God took it away 100%.
    God Bless

    You have admitted you have a problem, and that's a massive step on the road to recovery. Give all of your cards and bank account details to your parents who will get you the money you need to get through the month. It is difficult to do it alone and the more people you tell about your problem hopefully the more people will help you recover. Find something else to do when you have free time or just work lots of overtime (if you can) and earn money instead of spending (wasting) money. You seem like a nice guy and hopefully you have good people around around you. Gambling is horrible, and losing can make you feel physically sick. The few highs are not worth the many lows. Very best wishes to you going forward.

    Do Not Gamble!!! If you think eventually you will figure it out and always win, you won’t. Discipline is key. Replace the gambling with something else. Something that is positive. It’s the same thing as cigarettes. Hard to give it up. If you do, it’s gotta be cold turkey style and discipline. Good luck man

    One big problem with gambling in this day and age is just the cost of living combined with the access to credit. Before you know it, you are in a massive hole and then that’s when the loan sharks get you. The 47% loans start stacking up along with with those $1500 payday loans that cost $225 for 14 days or less.

I saw the tax bill end of the year and it was 7k I was so mad so pissed I played and struggled for many years to finally hit that and the govt wanted 7K for doing nothing... that helped me stop after that lesson I rarely play now

    I got the same problem. I make good money. I blew my Social Security check for the last 10 months. I went to Vegas and blew it and then I blow it when I come home I say to myself I’m way paid this bill and that bill this bill and I go on the casino play couple games and then I lose the rest in the machines, don’t feel bad because I am very depressed on top of that. I had to apply for a loan and it ended up being 51.9 interest the first five payments I went went towards the damn interest for $3000.

    The root of addiction is a mental health condition. ADHD is a huge one. Addictions, depression and anxiety are common symptoms and the addiction is a coping mechanism to medicate the root issue.

      Funny thing is that most problem gamblers think it’s about the money ( this guy admits that). The money is only a mechanism to fulfill the urge for action. I find escape from reality to be the biggest trigger for people who are addicted to gambling. Problem is losing only compounds the very problem they’re trying to escape from.

    • @calmtea5369
      @calmtea5369 Місяць тому +1

    I just lost $220 in just 2 hours at the casino but I don’t feel too unpleasant. My non-gambling wife was there and she was looking at the finances and making sure it doesn’t go outta control. So, if you go, make sure you go with someone who will control the cash. And slowly, you’ll start to kick it and do it play less. Also, if you really wanna go but you know you shouldn’t, then slap yourself in the face (literally) and tell yourself “not today”.
    We cheering for you!
