I remember trying to tell a few old buddies about Teddy Long stories. They never bought it because Teddy at that time came out in suits and ties like a playa. Awesome dude!
I remember that second story of Teddy leaving Ron behind, it was in one of the wwe magazines that i had in 2008 that they released monthly, it was told in illustrated picture form using action figures of them lol
I want to hear about the time JBL and Ron Simmons took Teddy Long to wrestlers court because he wanted to pretend to sleep when they would pass the toll booths.
Cornette told the same story but he said Ron Simmons was driving and left TEDDY by the side of the road and when they came back to get him he was completely covered in snow.
Yeah, public intoxication is the name of the offence. You can be drunk in your own home but legally you can't be shitfaced in public. Honestly JBL could be right in it being more of a race thing especially depending on where in the US they were but technically they were doing something illegal. That being said, a 600 dollar ticket seems too high and really it should've in JBL and Ron Simmons names not Teddy's.
Dry county you can't have alcohol on you at all on a Sunday it used to be like that in a lot of small towns in the southeastern United States but even now that's a open container we have issues with people driving drunk in the US so the rule is you can't have anything open while in a car you can get a DUI parked
I started a teddy long chant in edmonton ab in 2001 smackdown . It was during the heat tape and i saw him back stage under and behind titan tron . He look at us like wtf . Later when he was reffing and took a bump from jobber and stood up for himself and we got whole arena doing it again . Made then black out the live sound all night with our chants
What was the main event of that Smackdown?? I went to a Smackdown in Edmonton which I believe was in 2001. The main event was Steve Austin vs. Chris Benoit for the WWF Championship. Vince McMahon was the special referee. Austin won and after the match Benoit gave Vince a vicious beating with the ol' steel chair.
As Ron Simmons would say: .............................................................................................................................DAMN!!!!!!!!!
I do wonder which story is true.....If you hear JBL and Ron both tell the story, it's Ron that was driving and they left Teddy in the snow. Either way, the story is hilarious
Tim McCane Ron and JBL have told the story several times, including Ron telling it on WWE Story Time, and I've only heard them talk of Teddy leaving Ron.
@@101frustrations LOL....That's on me....I've heard so many shoots, I've mixed a few. Turns out it was Percy and Cornette retelling the story when retelling road stories that had Teddy on the road and Ron driving, lol
Tim McCane Yes I've heard others mix it up before when telling it. Like you said it's a great story regardless though I'm sure poor Ron didn't feel that way at the time.
What's interesting is that Ron Simmons is probably "10 times tougher" than JBL, even though both men were large, powerfully-built athletes in their primes. Ron Simmons could beat 99% of all the guys in any pro wrestling locker room, at any time in his career. While the 6'6", 290-pound JBL, got his ass kicked by a 5'7", 155-pound Joey Styles.
I remember hearing stories about how the Steiners would always terrorize people with ribs back in WCW, but they knew better than to mess with Ron. That's saying something. He was freakishly strong.
I think the thing to understand is that Ron Simmons was probably the baddest man in wrestling for a very long time JBL wasn't no punk he could probably mess up more than 3/4th of the guys in the business he just wasn't Ron Simmons And like was already asked I'm curious if ole boy really whooped JBLs ass sober because even the badest MF alive ain't shit if you give him enough alcohol
@@ddcs0s Several guys beat up JBL because he made the mistake of testing them. Among these guys are: Joey Styles, RVD, Steve Blackman, and Booker T. JBL had to learn things the hard way.
The officer was lucky he didn't pull over Teddy when he had the power to summon the Undertaker.
☠️
Or put them in a tag team match
Wait just a minute playa
Let me holla at you player
“So you a blood hound now” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder if Ron Simmons let out a "DAMN" as he saw Teddy Long driving off in the distance while it's snowing heavily lol, great story
Heard this on Jim Cornette show
Dammm teddy

😂😂
That Ron simmons impression 😂😂
"Just for this interview Controversial Wrestling Shoots gets to go one one one with da Undertaker. Holla holla holla playa".

Greatest babyface GM ever
I really like that segment with JBL, Benoit, and Teddy Long. I'm talking about the one where Benoit was drafted to SmackDown in 2005.
2:20 JBL & RS "You driving, they wrote it in your name"
TL "You just got yourself a street match wit da Undataka playa!"
RS "DAMN!"
Teddy Long is a Legend, and I haven't heard this story, thanks for this playa
Facts
Holler holler holle'a
Lmao 🤣
Even though it's Teddy's fault for leaving Ron behind in the snow, it must be hell for Teddy to be yelled and cursed by the APA for hours. :)
Damn wasn't even drinking but still had to pay some of the ticket smh lol.
I remember trying to tell a few old buddies about Teddy Long stories. They never bought it because Teddy at that time came out in suits and ties like a playa. Awesome dude!
After writing that ticket the cop had to go 1 on 1 with the undatakaaah!
I remember these stories from other shoot interviews and they never get old. Hilarious! 😂

"When I get back to him, he's (Ron) a snowman". Teddy Quote...Lol

I heard that interview he did tell the story
That cop was on a power trip. Ron Simmons is funny af “so you a bloodhound now?”
I just listened to Ron Simmons tell both of these stories on Broken Skull Sessions and was cracking up 😂😂😂
"Anybody drinking in the car?"
"HOLLLLD ON A MINUTE, PLAYAH!"
he hasnt aged at all
domsk1 black don't crack
He looks pretty good for his age. This also says this was released in 2014 in the bottom right.
i remember i met teddy. Teddy is a cool person
Love this guy he always gives great interviews
Thanks for the memories playa . And now y'all that's right it's going to be a six man tag team match!

@JJ Kingman Yeah, I actually went back and watched some old clips and you're right. That's almost like a mandela effect for me lol
$600 for what!?! That's ridiculous. That cop is an a hole. The driver wasn't drinking, so what's the problem!?! Better fine all taxi drivers then ffs.
I love me some Teddy Long. Ref or GM.
Great story playa
Hey playa! Holla!
😂😂😂😂😂 funny story 🤣🤣🤣
Yup, this confirms what I heard on Broken Skull Sessions. 🤣
Why did he get a ticket if he wasnt drinking
Open alcohol containers I would think, America is pissy about that lol
@@archstanton1628 really? Never heard of that in my country, people can be drunk as they want so long as the driver isn't.
JBL said it was basically a case of driving while black and then of course Ron and John pissed him off.

I read the story about being in the snow in the WWE magazine.

Tonight your going 1 on 1 with the unertakaaa playaaa

On jim cornettes drive thru he said it was Ron and jbl left teddy long and he was the snowman
He got the story confused. It was Ron who was left in the snow by Teddy as confirmed by all the guys who were there.
Holla holla
In the middle of this interview Teddy yelled halaplay make it a tag team match.

why the fuck did he get a fine if he wasn’t drinking? you’re allowed to drink if you’re not driving otherwise cabbies would be out of business
M1K3YC JBL described it as driving while black. Then of course he and Ron made the officer mad which didn't help.
What was the ticket for if teddy want drinking hes the designated driver
I would have to guess having open alcohol in the vehicle
Ticket for what?
0:51 that was my sister and she got fired when they counted the beer.
You’re kidding
The officer gave him a fine despite him being stone sober? That’s some racial bs
