I'm in India. I bought the ticket like a month before the show and travelled to delhi from my state, just for the show. So I tell this to the girl sitting next to me and she tells me she too was travelling from a state further away just for the show. I mean We ❤ Trevor 🙌
I loved the exchange between them! As an American that has visited South Africa, hearing Trevor in his home country was just great. I miss your Daily Show but am happy you are doing artistic and creative things that make you happy.
I love that Trevor is back to his native language/accent, it must be freeing. I’ve seen him on stage, at the Daily Show and at the NAACP Imagine award dinner. He is the nicest and most personable person that you will ever meet and talk with. He was always kind and yes, I have a picture (actually a video too) I wish him all the best.
That last bit. So relatable. It's childhood trauma that teaches you how to be resilient and how to best handle disappointment. Low expectations and altering your perception. Another great interview Trevor, Anele and The Club.
😭🤣 this nxgga said ergo. Hahahahahaha. Moer. I'm dead. Hahahahahaha. Ergo means somebody's vocabulary is vast? Your English teacher should have her SACE and PERSAL number revoked.
"In life, leave room for the possibility that things will not go the way you want them to and you will live a life that has a lot less disappointment and depression." I love those words from you Trevor❤ ...Like my friend will always say "Hoping for the best but expecting the worst"
The last two minutes of this video is exactly the way I perceive things in life . I learnt long time ago, that life is literally based on odds. Therefore, there should be room for outcomes in any situation. It saves you from feeling disappointed or depressed . Its not expecting disappointments, it s knowing that you'll be okay with whatever the outcome is.
Glad you're living your best life, Trevor -- and I sure miss you on The Daily Show. Thank you for being there with us during your Times of the Multicolored Hoodies.
I must admit that this was a good “interview” with him, I enjoyed it so much and I don’t even listen to this radio station. I clicked on the video to listen to Trevor Noah and it was all worth it. Thank you to everyone involved who made this video possible. Hannes.
Trevor, I miss you on TV! Happy for you doing what you love, of course. It was just an amazing spot from which to both entertain and influence with your unique filter of humanism, globalism and humor. You helped so many of us get through trying times. Thank you!
Trevor dishes out extraordinary wisdom...about living; he has got some key secrets to happy living! He is a huge encouragement to equality!! Biggups TN! You have been such a huge blessing. God bless and keep you!❤❤❤
I thought I was the only guy who lives with that perspective of always acknowledging the possibility of things not going as you hope or expect... it's actually the healthiest way to live emotionally. You're never really disappointed or depressed
Bro that last bit about expecting the worst but hoping for the best is what I try explain to people all the time and I’m looked at the exact same way everyone looked at Trev. Great guy and fun interview👏🏾👏🏾
I can relate to this. Another way to look at it is entitlement. The lack of rather. When you live as though no one owes you anything you’re free and happier. Life turns into an experience.
This is so right! I wish I have heard this few years before. I have been crashed, mortified with the simplest things canceled, not happening just because. Would have saved a lot if I have the slightest expectation of the other scenario...
Trevor you have such eloquence, everything you say is simply beyond any person would say. You are a gift to our planet. If only people could listen and learn from you Trevor. How wonderful life would be, could be?
I saw Trevor in Cape Town on Sunday 3rd September (bought the tickets a year ago!) and my face was still sore from laughing the next day. Laughed from start to end, and my seats were close enough to see those dimples! 😍 Trevor is so authentic and hilarious. I agree with him 💯% as someone who travels for my work, there’s no place quite like SA. Our people are what makes this country great. We are in this together! ❤🇿🇦❤️
I'm a mother of four the only child I've been willingly neglecting is me. I'm now intentionally focusing on pursuing my career, doing my post grad studies now. Motherhood has pushed me to work even harder to focus on establishing my career! A pause, resume, playback, playforward, zoom in and zoom out lol is part of life! As long as we are advancing and the experiences are refining our characters. Love this interview ❤️✌🏾 and for the past 10 years I expect my husband to mess up and I'm less disappointed and happier 😂
Simply love his luminary talks! Shows how well read he is and adore n admire his logic and his hearty laughter. ❤ But regret not seeing him perform in Numma Bengaluru. 😢
The end part about not caring so much and not having expectations is a wise philosophy and can really change your attitude. SO GREAT to see this bunch AND Trevor, who used to make me giggle at night, though I was miserably depressed about how my family had fallen down the Q rabbit hole and we lived completely different realities, on two separate floors of the same house. Trevor made me giggle in my pillow, and I was shocked because I never anticipated them. Bless you all!
Great interview! Two things I learned: 1)Trevor really needed a break (or an escape) from NY - What outsiders see as a great city to be in is actually not as good as it seems to be. - Being away from home (SA) made him realize how much he misses the little things. 2) He's learned how to tamper expectations - Me and my friend have a saying/motto: "Hope for the best, but expect the worse" lol
To be fair Kenny Kunene mentioned the solar project for traffic lights, he is partnering with corporates in Sandton, he just needs to update us on where that project is at
What Trevor said it's best way to live your life to the fullest. What he's basically saying is something I live everyday and that's to except the unexpected but hoping for the best. Big Ups and much love ❤ to Mr Trevor Noah
Trevor is cool. I was always proud to hear people talk about him in the States. His comedy special about SA PA announcer resonated well with some of my friends from other countries. I can't wait to see him in Indianapolis next year.
Looking past everything that Trevor is in his profession. For him, just as a human being, I think his ethics need to be multiplied . This world would be a better place.
Trevor never disappoints with his precision of perspective and wisdom, in his humorous way🤣🤣 Loved this conversation, thank you all for the lively and informative interview🤩🙌. Blessings Be🌈🌈💕💕
Trevor is the best comedian in the world. I have followed him for many years and he never disappoints!! He is brilliant and well read and his accents are beyond fabulous. He is the greatest!
Excellent advice that I live by as well: "in life just leave room for the possibility that things would not go the way you that you want them to, and you will live a life that has a lot less disappointment and depression"
My biggest take away from this show is when Trevor said "Expect that things won't go your way so that you leave room for disappointment when they don't and in that way you live a life that has less disappointment" that gives you peace cause reality is you are going to be disappointed at some point in relationships, career etc. It's not negative but it does not drive you so crazy when things don't go your way in life.He is so wise❤
It's not pessimism, it's Understanding. Choosing peace as your happiness is the best decision you could make. This is my new goal in life. To be Understanding of reality Vs my Expectation.
Thanks guys for allowing Trevor to share POV after a long day of working in retail I just need my brain to relax from anxiety and pressure trying to expect 100% all the time thanks Trevor Mitchells Plain loves you❤️🙏
Bro that last bit about expecting the worst but hoping for the best is what I try explain to people all the time and I’m looked at the exact same way everyone looked at Trev. Great guy and fun interview
Finally I've found someone like me🙏🙏 I'm a lower expectation typa person..n people reckon im weird...yet it's less stress more happiness...shout out to Mr Noah✌️
Once you become famous, you have to fight hard to retain normality... it's really something that is highly underrated, from the celebs who are actually still human.
This was such a rich conversation! Thoroughly enjoyed watching. And at 33:42, where the other interviewer said, “wonderful can’t wait for the Spotify version of this.” He sounded like a commentator for a bit there. Who else noticed? 😅
I have watched this show again. I had to Trevor. You are forever optimistic human being. That’s the way I live my life always Trevor. That’s a gift our creator endowed on all but few understand the gift.
Trevor received his wisdom from his grandmother, she was the intellect behind his upbringing. I too was raised by a grandmother, and grandparents have a way of providing children with an amazing set of rules which guide a child with daily occurrences or set backs in life. So it is best to approach life with minimum expectations in a positive manner.
I just left NY as i leave from Holland Tunnel thinking it would be cool to catch a sight to see Travis Noah walking from down town Mahan...funny my utube just jump into this clip... psychic works...😂❤
When Trevor tells the guy, you're putting things into the equation here that are not in the equation- spot on and such a diplomatic and constructive way to tell someone they're on some bs
Yes goodness gracious Trevor. I am compelled to watch this podcast again today. Why? I actually wanted to listen to hear your eloquent words that you articulate everything, oh boy I know why, Trevor this is a brilliant show. Millions of people are listening here. Do you realise you are educating people to be stoic and live a more compassionate and joyful lives. ❤
I'm in India. I bought the ticket like a month before the show and travelled to delhi from my state, just for the show. So I tell this to the girl sitting next to me and she tells me she too was travelling from a state further away just for the show. I mean We ❤ Trevor 🙌
Trevor is such an intelligent interesting person. My admiration increases everytime I hear him speak.
Trevor is such a thinker, can’t wait for the podcast.
Yes, love that he is hilarious and a really intelligent thinker! He makes us proud❤
He is
I loved the exchange between them! As an American that has visited South Africa, hearing Trevor in his home country was just great. I miss your Daily Show but am happy you are doing artistic and creative things that make you happy.
This was great, I love seeing Trevor so happy, loving his home country, loving being on tour. He gave so much, he deserves this time!
Honestly, I was just so impressed by Anele and Trevor's friendship
Trevor is a national treasure, let's protect him at all costs🙏🏿❤️
Trevor Noah is a corporate sellout. Bent over backwards pushing globalist agendas for white elites FOR YEARS in America.
From who?
He's a left wing nut now
we need more like Trevor
Imagine.🤣
Trevor is right, lower your expectations will bring you peace !👍😊
Trevor's ability to dish out subtle roast is brilliant 😂
I love that Trevor is back to his native language/accent, it must be freeing. I’ve seen him on stage, at the Daily Show and at the NAACP Imagine award dinner. I can listen to Trevor all day, refreshing interview. Can't wait for the podcast.
That last bit. So relatable. It's childhood trauma that teaches you how to be resilient and how to best handle disappointment. Low expectations and altering your perception. Another great interview Trevor, Anele and The Club.
Oh boy... another "pity-me" welfare case
It's not "low expectations"
It is "seeing all possibilities"
There is a difference...
Come back to States Trevor .You look rusty.
Yo, Trev... You are the embodiment of what it means to be a creative South African 🙌🏾
Trevor is so down to earth I also am intrigued by how he uses vocabulary i.e. ergo
Also Danko 😂
He sold out long time ago he's left wing nut
😭🤣 this nxgga said ergo. Hahahahahaha. Moer. I'm dead. Hahahahahaha. Ergo means somebody's vocabulary is vast? Your English teacher should have her SACE and PERSAL number revoked.
Trevor grew up with books, books and more books. His mother did a great job educating him.
"In life, leave room for the possibility that things will not go the way you want them to and you will live a life that has a lot less disappointment and depression."
I love those words from you Trevor❤
...Like my friend will always say "Hoping for the best but expecting the worst"
Accepting it all, preparing as best you can.
Very boy scout, with first aid kit ready.

Chitty chatty Trevor is one of my best people in the world.

Awesome interview -Love how Trevor is an advocate for sustainable gardening. While we miss him on the Daily Show, I am glad he is doing what he loves
This is the smartest and most eloquent man I know around the world. Thank you for coming back to Africa, Trevor!
Trevor seems so welcoming and grounded. Even with his status, he seems so approachable
I thought I was the only guy who lives with that perspective of always acknowledging the possibility of things not going as you hope or expect... it's actually the healthiest way to live emotionally. You're never really disappointed or depressed
Proud to be part of this generation. Well done Trevor and welcome back home and to your first born
No expectations, no disappointments!!
So true, especially the way u put it about entitlement. I truly don’t expect anything from anyone, and all positives are a blessing
Indonesia here, and I enjoy every word from Noah. Love him Soo much.
I saw Trevor in St. Louis, MO in America, when I was over there, so proud and happy for this guys they really love him over there too!
I just love the last few words you spoke on this video.. powerful.
Trevor is intelligent and just love how he simplified the expectation part..
I saw Trevor in Cape Town on Sunday 3rd September (bought the tickets a year ago!) and my face was still sore from laughing the next day. I will die if I wake up and being told that I am not A South African
My favorite human. Some days it's my father. Some days it's Trevor Noah.
There's really no other way for me to put it.
gorgeous, humble, funny, and smart- what a guy
Yes Trevor real hero man I like your thoughts love from TAMIL Nadu India
Trevor is so mature and so grown as a soul you have evolved do much. I like what I am hearing from you. That soul is so authentic and so mature!!
I'm a mother of four the only child I've been willingly neglecting is me. I'm now intentionally focusing on pursuing my career, doing my post grad studies now.
Motherhood has pushed me to work even harder to focus on establishing my career!

But regret not seeing him perform in Numma Bengaluru. 😢
I love how his accent gets deeper when he's amongst his people. I'm sure that is true for most people though.
From this moment on, no matter what the actual podcast is called... it will always be Chitty Chatty with Trevor.
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
Great interview!
Two things I learned:
1)Trevor really needed a break (or an escape) from NY
- What outsiders see as a great city to be in is actually not as good as it seems to be.
- Being away from home (SA) made him realize how much he misses the little things.
2) He's learned how to tamper expectations
- Me and my friend have a saying/motto: "Hope for the best, but expect the worse" lol
That is not "your" saying...😂😂😂😂
I always found it funny how Trevor can also make himself laugh🤣🤣🤣
What he said about; managing your expectations versus reality! 🔥
He’s stayed humble. That’s awesome. Much respect for him.
Trevor just seems more “laid back” now that he’s left TDS! I love it❤️👍🏻
To be fair Kenny Kunene mentioned the solar project for traffic lights, he is partnering with corporates in Sandton, he just needs to update us on where that project is at
What Trevor said it's best way to live your life to the fullest. What he's basically saying is something I live everyday and that's to except the unexpected but hoping for the best. Big Ups and much love ❤ to Mr Trevor Noah
Trevor is a realist. Setting low expectations is not being pessimistic.
Its positive but not accepted” love this❤May you always shine Trever Noah🧿
“Leave room for the possibility that something will not go as planned…” Perspective!❤
Blessings Be🌈🌈💕💕
LOVE LISTENING TO TREVOR, HE IS SPEAKING FACTS, SO BRILLIANT 👏
“The more you Noah…with trevor noah!!” WORKS!!!🎉🎉🎉🙌🏾🙌🏾
I have the same mentality as Trevor regarding expectations and reality, it's really the best because you never really get disappointed
When Trevor said that thing about solar on traffic lights, I knew obviously the panels would be stolen. I'm Kenyan
Trevor is intelligently funny. 🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣
It's important to expect things not to go as planned but work towards the goal, totally agree. You will never be disappointed 😊
Anele is awesome.❤
The wisdom in this guy... Profound
Trevor is the best comedian in the world. I have followed him for many years and he never disappoints!! He is brilliant and well read and his accents are beyond fabulous. He is the greatest!
It is ALWAYS interesting, fun and funny to listen to him.
Excellent advice that I live by as well:
"in life just leave room for the possibility that things would not go the way you that you want them to, and you will live a life that has a lot less disappointment and depression"
Anele, I love how you flipped those great questions back on him! First time I am seeing you, and you are a gem!
Wow Trevor is just a fountain of wisdom ❤
Knowledge. Not wisdom, wisdom is not knowledge.
different tings
@@Big_hyyt 🤣🤣🤣 that's your level of knowledge my friend.
Yes yes yes
Cant help loving that man
This guy is smart, the way he answers question is fascinating...I think he needs a show even if it's for once a week.
More like we need, maybe I need😂
We need to see him regularly, but I don't think he needs it ❤
Absolutely amazing, Trevor your take on Expectations is FIRE.
Trevor is our Capital City! I really love hearing that he's kept his SA accent 😂
What an intelligent comedian
u can tell he's been back in SA for a while...his accent is much stronger than on the Daily Show
Yeah neh.he is actually home.
He falls back into the cadences of home.
The way he started the show🔥
When I listen to Trevor I learn more about myself. He makes me be more introspective.
I just love love love love love you Trevor... you always grow as a beautiful human being 🎉❤
On that last piece I agree with Trevor, as a kids I came up with “expect the worst, hope for the best”
Wonderful to see Trevor so happy❤
Much love for Trevor ❤💯
My biggest take away from this show is when Trevor said "Expect that things won't go your way so that you leave room for disappointment when they don't and in that way you live a life that has less disappointment" that gives you peace cause reality is you are going to be disappointed at some point in relationships, career etc. It's not negative but it does not drive you so crazy when things don't go your way in life.He is so wise❤

He is so right when we have expectations of all things & other people then we set ourselves up for disappointment
Absolutely. Expectations management is the key to happiness!! Love you, Trevor
The last part is simplified by saying hope for the best but expect the worse. Totally agree and it’s common
Finally I've found someone like me🙏🙏 I'm a lower expectation typa person..n people reckon im weird...yet it's less stress more happiness...shout out to Mr Noah✌️

I just left NY as i leave from Holland Tunnel thinking it would be cool to catch a sight to see Travis Noah walking from down town Mahan...funny my utube just jump into this clip... psychic works...😂❤
This was a dope interview... I need this Trevor with Mac and Sol. jirrr🤣🤣🤣
Trevor's last words on expections perfectly describes me❤ I rarely get disappointed because I always leave room for disappointment
When Trevor tells the guy, you're putting things into the equation here that are not in the equation- spot on and such a diplomatic and constructive way to tell someone they're on some bs
Trevor Noah; The GOAT🙌🏾
Loved this 😍💞
From the UK 🇬🇧👍🏾
