I had the same critique at first that Trev was interrupting but as I watched I realized that was the point. We're so used to the interview style of "here's a platform and we wanna hear you talk as the guest" but I don't think that's what Trev wants with his show. It's not an interview, it's just 2 homies shooting the shit on camera. That actually takes the pressure of holding a conversation away from Kev and increases the dialogue dynamics which makes for better interaction. This is by far the best sit down I've seen all year. Both had words of wisdom to share and good banter to go along.

So many complaining about Trev interrupting Kev. Man, think of it as a conversation, because it doesn't necessarily need to be an interview. It's a podcast, and it can be whatever they want it to be. And it was a hilarious, genuine and heartwarming conversation

His perspective on life and seizing opportunities after realising that he did not have the luxury to mess up his life as an adult is so real & relatable , I appreciate how he stood his ground on what his standpoint is concerning what success looks like to him & ensuring you secure your legacy for your children. He did not bend to Trevor's way of implying that the accident was why he no longer has the fear he had before.

I’m not a comedian, but your insights on embracing change, facing fear, and the process of growth resonate deeply with me. The way you describe the scaffolding of life, the reminder that even after building something amazing, you still need to be grounded and remember where you came from, is powerful. That’s why you are the empire." much love form a cape town girl, being inspired to live my dream and work harder and what I can build. Doing it in Nicaragua xo

I actually like seeing Kev being pushed out of his comfort zone and challenged to be himself as he truly is and not able to retreat into the public persona. It's a pretty genius Jungian approach to an interview format to push one of the biggest stars out there to take off the mask. He's "interrupting" because they're friends and pushing him to be the person he knows and not the person he is on camera, and that's really cool. Trevor speaks to him as a friend and someone who knows and cares about Kev as a human being, not the star, and challenges him to stand on his takes. It can seem rude or lame, but it's a style of interview that leads to gems.

I also had that feeling of just being grateful for what you have and what is presented to you.
When me and my family moved from renting a room, to one bedroom, to a 2 bedroom, my dad was pointing out all the bad things in the city during our move but i had to put my foot down. I had to tell him "you realize that you are ruining this moving experience for us by pointing out all the bad things im trying to enjoy. You know, when i was a kid, i would visit friend's houses and i would be jealous of them having their own rooms and having a big apartment. I would dream of having my own room, a 2 bedroom, and a kitchen. I would dream of a place like the one we live in now." I had to tell him about what i use to dream about and my experience growing up as a kid because he was always working, barely present, and didnt know. It was a weird feeling to speak to him like that but he told me that i was right and that he was sorry for always speaking negatively to the new city we moved in.

The "cameos" is the same approach that Missy took with "features" absolute GENIUS because your launch is made with a following baked in. Yes Missy is the Producer behind the artist as well BUT AS THE ARTIST HERSELF she was "known" during her debut. Kevin did the same thing. SO GENIUS!

Love both of them and how Kevin did not receive that scaffolding mess and realized he had to firmly explain and say what he meant and meant what he said about fear to be clear . They can’t touch them buildings no matter what happens to him and his children will always have something he worked hard for. He showed maturity and he’s thinking 🤔 about the future of what if.

This was Magical - I love the 2 Approaches. Both to raise the community up. 1. to Stay True to thy self and understanding the importance of ones self - and the other to be more engaged to reach out and down to be inclusive. And Kevin , as a creative.. you need someone to pass the baton too and enhance your brand... I'd love to talk with you! Continued blessings to both.
