I would love to see Trevor and Richard Gadd (creator and lead actor of Baby Reindeer) sit down and have a conversation. I already know that it would be an eye opening and emotion-filled interview. Please make this happen.
I had the same critique at first that Trev was interrupting but as I watched I realized that was the point. We're so used to the interview style of "here's a platform and we wanna hear you talk as the guest" but I don't think that's what Trev wants with his show. It's not an interview, it's just 2 homies shooting the shit on camera. That actually takes the pressure of holding a conversation away from Kev and increases the dialogue dynamics which makes for better interaction. This is by far the best sit down I've seen all year. Both had words of wisdom to share and good banter to go along.
So many complaining about Trev interrupting Kev. Man, think of it as a conversation, because it doesn't necessarily need to be an interview. It's a podcast, and it can be whatever they want it to be. And it was a hilarious, genuine and heartwarming conversation
You two guys have given me countless laughs. I have laughed till the tears came out over the years. Its great to see both of you talk. Loving the podcast
They are so funny without even intending to be funny. That whole exchange about Kevin swimming was hilarious to me. I really enjoyed this thoughtful, meaningful conversation. This medium works well for Trevor.
No, it was difficult to watch. Trevor has ADHD and interrupting people like that is one of the most common symptoms. He probably just hadn’t taken his meds
His perspective on life and seizing opportunities after realising that he did not have the luxury to mess up his life as an adult is so real & relatable , I appreciate how he stood his ground on what his standpoint is concerning what success looks like to him & ensuring you secure your legacy for your children. He did not bend to Trevor's way of implying that the accident was why he no longer has the fear he had before.
This is probably the most genuine state of being I have heard Kevin Hart being interviewed on and that is a statement to Trevor Noah ability to pull the shell out of the man. The interruption is to get him to come out more and more and boy did he come out. I rest my case

Trevor, having been through years of therapy, is listening and recognizing there is healing yet to be done for Kevin. He's amazing and still has some work to do. Kev, if you ever decide to do the healing work, hit me up.
Everyone keeps saying hes interrupting Kevin, these are two homies having a conversation on a poscast. This isnt an "official" tv show type of thing. This is a natural conversstion between friends. I throughly enjoyed it!

I actually like seeing Kev being pushed out of his comfort zone and challenged to be himself as he truly is and not able to retreat into the public persona. It's a pretty genius Jungian approach to an interview format to push one of the biggest stars out there to take off the mask. He's "interrupting" because they're friends and pushing him to be the person he knows and not the person he is on camera, and that's really cool. Trevor speaks to him as a friend and someone who knows and cares about Kev as a human being, not the star, and challenges him to stand on his takes. It can seem rude or lame, but it's a style of interview that leads to gems.
We honour Comedian and Actor Kevin Hart for trusting you enough to be the first to come on your show. He has won a place in our multiverse artistic consideration. All the best to him.
