Thanks for the heads up about the air pockets issue. I've got an 01 PT Cruiser. It's just starting to act up again. You know how it feels when the wife drives the PT hot for a while. I had to replace the head gaskets. You could hear me cursing a block away that day. And single use head bolts!!! (I learned about them the hard way too.) After the head job, I replaced the radiator. That has held up for seven years now. Keep the faith baby!
Yea man because thats an aluminum cyl head, you dont wanna let the car get hot for to long at all. That head can easily warp and give you spot times of overheating thats really hard to diag.
My car doesn't overheat and I have no coolant in it. Been like that since I got it a year ago. Of course, it's a 1970 VW Beetle. But my mother in laws PT Cruiser did have air in the coolant system that was causing it to overheat. Thanks for the video man, it doesn't anymore.

You say you have used pressure test to push all the air out. How do I go about doing that?

Hey buddy, good question. First off can I get you to subscribe to the channel? thanks a bunch. Now, theres a chance that your low speed fan motor burn out. So when its time for the fan to come on, it wont run. But also your TIPM can cause this. But I just did a video on how to properly diag the fans. If you have power supply and ground to your fan, you simply have burn out fan motors.
i just did water pump was not fun,, install everything start4d overjheating almost lost my mind try this fixed it i turned bleed screw notta came out someone use stop leak had to break that crap out there works great
I've replaced the thermostat the thermostat housing the radiator and radiator cap and took out the air three times out of my system what can cause the overheating after you've done all that
WOW, well what you do next is subscribe to the channel then watch this video in this link below..sorry, you may be in know mood for jokes right now..lol..Listen man, its basically time to get your block tested, you may be getting exhaust gases into you cooling sys causing the overheating. I bleed the Radiator system and token the bubbles out and new antifreeze , it still makes boiling water sound like it's hot... help
Did you resolve this. Having same issue
Had /have the same issue , bled several times. I have replaced the fan, radiator, 2-3 years old , thermostat several times. I get heat from heater. My fans seem to work. My temperature guage seems to operate properly ( I'm thinking of changing it ).
When I open the radiator cap , hot or cold , antifreeze burps out of the expansion tank overflow tube.
Why won't the expansion tank syphon back to the radiator ?
Been dealing with this way to long ...... Wtf
