Dom2k for part 1 management didn’t know what to do with a talent of Lebrons caliber so they kind of just yeeted some interesting contracts and failed badly
Gilbert gave Lebron everything he wanted. Gilbert lost $40 million the year the Cavs won the NBA Finals and he spent a record amount of money(over $200 million)on the team this year to entice him to stay. Lebron is just an ungrateful child and that's why Gilbert is glad he is finally rid of him

Troll King Lebron getting paid 33 mill in his second to last year didn't matter because by then, they were well above the cap. They already were like 3 million above the cap, so Lebron's contract essentially was not gonna do anything to affect the cap.
RetroSuperFuture they had Bledsoe and George coming in on draft night if Lebron agreed to stay in Cleveland. But he didn’t sign because obviously, now that he’s in LA, he didn’t want to be in Cleveland

Lebron was not the one who gave JR, TT, or Shump those awful contracts. He pushed for the Cavs to sign them, that's it. It's the Cavs management's fault for being incompetent. Also, the Cavs were over the cap at that point, so it didn't seem to matter much how much TT, Shump, or JR got paid since Gilbert and his billions of dollars could've paid the luxury tax if he had to.
This man always uploads great content. Would love to see him make a video on either Jordan in his Wizards years, or give his take on what it means to actually make your teammates better cause there is always a whole debate/argument on that
LeBron still had every right to leave again this summer. I said in my video that that roster was complete trash. They were lucky to even get to the ECF IMO if it wasnt for Bron
Jsmoove TV If they were able to do what they do well occasionally and not just cater to James' game it could've been proven otherwise. Not to mention James was never there on defensive rotations.
Jsmoove TV Yeah but didnt he push the management to do these dumb moves (overpaying players like JR, trading for a hipless IT and a weak 3 and D player)
Lebron didn't want to trade for IT, he didn't want Kyrie traded, and he never said to overpay JR like crazy, he jsut wanted him signed. Lebron was forced to pay ISo ball because the rest of his team sucked and couldn't hit their shots, the narrative that he plays ISO is a retarded one made by people who don't watch the Cavs play.
The roster sucks because it's lebron's roster. He pushed the front office to sign his buddies instead of giving young players a chance to develop. The real coach and gm of the cavs was lebron
The kyrie trade ruined everything after that the roster and their management just went down after that , they traded kyrie for an injured , undersized, point guard that has been the main scorer of his team until he got traded and than they went out and signed injury riddled and diva bench players besides jae crowder and they experimented with over 100 different starting lineups. the chemistry was low too should I mention.
Nba is a business. And Dan Gilbert was afraid to take the risk. Successful businessmen took risks for their corporations rise. It wasn't an easy job. Gilbert meanwhile was content with low risk moves.
I couldn’t believe they chose Larry Hughes over joe Johnson smh 🤦🏽♂️ I just remember them screaming like hell and angry for not throwing the max at Johnson.
I'll tell you the reason they lost him the second time, it's not because of Gilbert, J.R. or even Kyrie or the Warriors... it was because they gave him too much. They were soooo afraid of losing him again, especially with him signing one year deals with player options, they bent over backwards and let him do whatever he wanted, let him have input on personnel decisions, contracts, the coaching staff, everything.. in Miami Pat Riley, Mickey Arison, and Erik Spoelstra had control over those decisions.. In Cleveland, LeBron was the GM, President of Operations, and Coach..the Cavs let him trade away Dion, bring in Washed up guys like Shump n J.R. then give his guys like Smith, Iman, and Thompson massive contracts that would bloat the team flexibility, let guys like Delly go (I would've preferred his deal on the roster over the one they gave Smith or Shumpert) then they allow him to sacrifice the team's future by trading Kyrie away. And aquiring bad deals like Clarkson and Hill. And how does he repay them after they literally did everything and got everyone he wanted them too? He bails and leaves them with the bloated salaries, no future draft picks, no Kyrie, and now no LeBron. I couldn't believe he would leave them in worse shape this time, but he did. I always thought that he had a secret handshake deal with Dan that once he retired a Cav in a few years Gilbert would sell him the team. But now Fuck him, hope he never comes back, I guarantee he'll leave the Lakers in worse shape too when all is said and done. All those young players n picks and that cap space? Will be gone in 2 years or less. I wish they would've learned from the Lakers and the Shaq Kobe beef (don't trade the young player, trade the 32 year old closer to the end of his prime) lol Should've traded Bron for a King's ransom lol Pun intended
Kal Path i think that the circumstantial evidence is damning. When asked if he would’ve come back to the nba, mj replied, “if david stern lets me” very fishy
Great video, but hindsight is always 20/20. Those Cavs teams were still very good and there’s no guarantee of any of those hypothetical moves would have lead to success.
That is true, but Stoudimire would have given them a second option that was under 30, and Amare was a top 3 PF at the time. Yes the risk of Amare leaving, or the series of injuries in 2012 would make him useless, but the cost to take such a risk was so low I can't see how Dan Gilbert would not take it.
LeBron not committing long term hurt him. I don’t blame the Cavs at all this second go around. LeBron always signing 1 year deals wouldn’t get other superstars there. This on LBJ.
Dom I love your videos, but there's one small, minor detail in this one I cant help be notice. When you were talking about other greats and how they went into a great situation, it felt like you were reaching when it came to Jordan. Prior to Pippen and Jackson, the Bulls really didnt give Jordan any help at all, his most notable teammate before Pippen was George Gervin who was way past his prime. Though things did turn around for Jordan unlike LeBron, it felt more like luck than anything else.
I don't really think that was a reach tbh. Jordan was drafted in 84, pip was drafted in 87, Phil came along in 89, and most of the core of the 3 peat championship team in the early 90s was constructed in the 5 years between Mike's arrival and Phil's. Meanwhile in Cleveland, LeBron didn't have any help whatsoever. He accomplished everything he did in Cleveland from 03-10 pretty much despite what he had around him.
Eduardo Navarrete Yes, he can. Give Lebron smush parker and Kwame Brown and i GUARANTEE he wont win anywhere near 60 games. Kobe won 65 games with basically only Gasol and Odom.
Since when did LeBron James play for Akron? Last time I checked, that’s FOURTY MILES FROM CLEVELAND!!!! IM SO TIRED OF HEARING THAT ITS HIS “HOMETOWN TEAM.” HES NOT FROM CLEVELAND!!!!
King Bradberry did I ask for your pathetic answer? No, I don’t know what he’s talking about. If he meant home state, he would’ve said home state, not town. What if he was from across the state in a place like Cincinnati? It’s still the closest team.
if LeBron wasn’t born in Cleveland the Cavs would easily be the worst franchise in sports history. LeBron would have no obligation to ever be in Cleveland and to deliver them their first ring, the Cavs just got so lucky that their team was located in a place that’s basically his hometown. Literally one player keeps the Cavs from being the undisputed worst franchise in sports history. At least the Kings were able to make a Championship-level team, basically dominated like a Superteam without a single All-Star, obviously they didn’t win a ring because of the refs rigging the shit out of th WCF, the Nets made a team that made it to the Finals, the Magic is arguable for worst franchise in the NBA currently, the Knicks are also bad. But the Cavs literally never had any successful seasons without LeBron in the last 20+ years, before he was there, after he left, and now he’s gone again, now we’re going to see just how shit of a franchise the Cavs are once again...
The Cavs Management just sucks! It's obvious, Golden State's management is just flawless so far! Steve Kerr head coach, former bulls player playing with the GOAT Michael Jordan, under the Greatest Coach of the 90s Phil Jackson, finally played under Gregg Popovich. So that is why the warriors are as good as they are...Cavs Management on the other hand? Sorry not in the same class as them. Great points made Dom2k. I've been telling haters that Cavs are not a championship team because of management.
So for everyone who loves blaming Lebron for the Cavs problems like the Cavs were this great franchise before he got there. I need to know how many years before we call Cavs contenders in the east again?
Darren Gordon-Hill he chose winning a title for his city not the franchise plus having Kyrie and assets at the time helped. shouldve stayed in Miami tho
I find it funny how people still crucify Dan Gilbert and Tyronn Lue when they did everything that Lebron wanted and everything they could do for someone who wasn't willing to commit to a long term deal with the team
Dude Dan Gilbert was the acting GM and declined a trade that would land them Paul George for Kevin Love. But he backed out because PG or LBJ wouldn’t sign long term but they were going to sign long term when they were lifting the Larry O
If I am the Cavs I say good riddance now you can create an actual basketball team and not just a bunch of floor spacers who can’t defend just to suit one guys game
CLUTCHNESS_ 2003 The Fuck does the laker have compared to the warriors? They have a better bench better starting 5 along with a better matchup for them with a. Great coach
Saw that this was the only video that didn’t get demonetized, since he spoke out about his partnership with the nba. Making sure someone gets his money
Your videos are great. One little tidbit you forgot to mention is that jj Hickson and Bron were really good friends and that factored into the decision of whether to trade him or not.

Steph Curry the 2x FRAUD nah the Kings are worse than the magic. At least they made it to the finals twice
Lebron overpaying his friends like JR and Tristan caused him to leave again. Fact. He should stop trying to play GM
And those guys were represented by Lebron's own agency. So he basically paid himself again twice by getting them paid over market value
Ryan Wilson say that louder brother.
Ryan Wilson Bruh the Cavs still made terrible moves. They didn't want to trade the pick or trade for Paul George.
that's why he went to the lakers where they have a good front office
Ryan Wilson yeah lebron does the contracts things he is a player
I’m from Cleveland and I completely agree with everything you said through out this entire video.
LEBRON AND PRIME AMARE??? LAKERS IN 6
riqo steel r???
It's an amazing feat that this franchise got a championship, one of the greatest championships.
So for everyone who loves blaming Lebron for the Cavs problems like the Cavs were this great franchise before he got there. I need to know how many years before we call Cavs contenders in the east again?
NBAofficialNoWhistle
I need to know why he'd chose a bad franchise he'd already left... you broke up for a reason.
Darren Gordon-Hill he chose winning a title for his city not the franchise plus having Kyrie and assets at the time helped. shouldve stayed in Miami tho
Plz continue the series with the 2ks games and the greatest playoff Series of all time
I find it funny how people still crucify Dan Gilbert and Tyronn Lue when they did everything that Lebron wanted and everything they could do for someone who wasn't willing to commit to a long term deal with the team
Did you watch this video?
BEDCORN I think we watched two different videos. There’s no way you gathered that from what Dom said.
Lol bruh the whole point of the video flew over your head
Yeah lebron was like get rid of kyrie for a pick a rook a banged up point guard and a sad excuse for a 3 and D guy.
Dude Dan Gilbert was the acting GM and declined a trade that would land them Paul George for Kevin Love. But he backed out because PG or LBJ wouldn’t sign long term but they were going to sign long term when they were lifting the Larry O
LOVE THE VIDS
Patrick Beverly is better than LeBron James. Like if you agree.
Chan Ming yeah but it's close
Chan Ming
He is not. Learn about basketball you fucking loser.
Patrick Beverly is a solid player
Lmaoo wrong
Slow down on the hot takes man
My dude said "Demarcus Cousins Thanos snap" LMAO
If I am the Cavs I say good riddance now you can create an actual basketball team and not just a bunch of floor spacers who can’t defend just to suit one guys game
Kendall Green so you are t grateful for that ring in 2016?
You must not watch much NBA, most teams run 4 out and set high screens with 3 point snipers. That literally compliments Lebrons play style 100%
PREACH
Ikr, that's why I get frustrated when people say the Cavs were only built to suit LeBron, first of all every team plays like that now a days!
Deangelo Carter I’m not a cavs fan so I could care less lol
These Be Da Quickest 11 Minutes EVA‼️
Frick all y’all the lakers finna win the chip with Le🐐
CLUTCHNESS_ 2003 ever heard of the warriors?
Scalabrine Fan the warriors are gonna get beat cause they’re not physical enough
Hope you're joking because I will come back to this when the Warriors win again and you complain that Lebron didn't have enough help.
CLUTCHNESS_ 2003 what r u talking about, did u forget about boogie, the man who would kill a ref over a foul?
CLUTCHNESS_ 2003 The Fuck does the laker have compared to the warriors? They have a better bench better starting 5 along with a better matchup for them with a. Great coach
YOU BETTER FINISH THE BOSTON VS CHICAGO SERIES SOON
Saw that this was the only video that didn’t get demonetized, since he spoke out about his partnership with the nba. Making sure someone gets his money
Being from Cleveland this one hurts
Part 2 should be a 10minute loop of JR Smith dribbling out the clock in the finals

Your videos are great. One little tidbit you forgot to mention is that jj Hickson and Bron were really good friends and that factored into the decision of whether to trade him or not.
