You a great teacher, and fishermen. You pass on great experiences with hand on knowledge about, taking care of our environment. That we are losing a little bit day by day. Thanks Brother, see you again on the other side of the Sun. Remember Please, Your Good. See YA
*Great demonstration & refresher JC... And you are absolutely correct about that initial smack of the prey by the Snook. I have seen many a big Snook dart out from the dark shadows on a slack tide at night into a dock's lighted area to smack a large six inch live shrimp or mullet hooked in the head. She/they were obviously trying to stun the prey to figure out if it is good eating but then would swim a short distance and mosey around in circle before coming back to swallow the bait whole hog and then get hooked. So your explanation of the out side mouth hook at **13:14** on a lure makes perfect sense... Thanx for sharing, this was a really informative vid...* gw
Great video JC. I’ve never really had much luck with topwater and snook in the canals I fish. There never seems to be any small snook. I got out and usually see at least 10 snook, all over 30-35 inches but they are so smart they won’t even hit live mullet. I think I’m going to try and focus on throwing big swimbaits.
Rad Reeling Fishing they just gorge themselves on mullet. I’ve only caught one 37 inches on a small finger mullet, but all of the others seem too smart. I think I’ll start fishing big shrimp and see if that works.
Hey JC, just curious, you ever try a Devil Horse? Love that topwater. I’ve tried that FG knot it’s a great knot but I prefer that double uni. I guess I am just old school and set in my ways lol. As always, Good stuff, my man.
I haven't tried the Devils Horse in over forty years. We used to bass fish with them when I was a teenager. I'm sure those Snook I fish for would demolish one though. The uni to uni is a great knot for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This is real life, time tested advice. No bull - very practical! Love it!
Thanks for watching and sharing encouraging words.

Daylight Snook fishing is always the best for me. Catching thirty five inch Snook sounds like a blast. What do they feed on in that area?

Great tips and great breakdown
Thanks. When I catch a lot of fish using a certain method I like to make a video showing exactly how I rig things.
Thanks JC, great Info!!
You can get smaller power clips that will allow you to reel the lure all the way up.
Thanks for watching. That's a possibility for sure, good thinking.

Nice 👍🏼
What lures exactly are you using, the one on the link has no red line like the video and the size is 3 1/2? Thanks
