I retired two years ago and I started with a little garden thanks to you videos I’m working in my front lawn is looking pretty I can wait to receive the order I placed from you thank you for encouraging me every morning I checked for a new video
Pete, I really like your channel. I have always liked working in my yard. I got my irrigation system about the same time you did. It took me years to get one, and it is really nice. I am retired now, and have trugreen doing my yard. I have a riding mower too. Yaaahooo. Keep the videos coming. Thank you
I'm 72 and retired but lawn care has become a kind of hobby for me. My take on it is effective apps while being very budget conscious (part of the fun). I have a relatively small lawn so both of those objectives are very doable.🌱🇺🇸
Exactly the type of streamlined, to the point breakdown I was looking for - thanks for considering your audience so thoughtfully. And btw, Walmart in my neck of the woods has 100’ ZeroG hoses for 30 bucks! Nothing beats shopping lawn and garden when it hits freezing temperatures outside! Thanks again, Pete
I watch and rewatch your videos all the time. My fescue lawn here in Las Vegas Nevada owes its health and vigor to you and green county fert. I have one of the healthiest, best looking lawns in my neighborhood.
Great explanation. One thing. I always walk backward so that I am not walking in anything I spray and make sure the wind is not blowing it on me. (but that's just me)
Thank you for making this video Pete, after you explained how to use a hose end sprayer its so easy. I was definitely overthinking how to use these sprayers. Basically get the 3 ounces of product over your 1000 sqft and profit. For some reason I just couldn't understand how easy that was, I tried to make it way too complicated. Thanks for the video, great channel.
Don't forget to consider that if you are going to use a hose sprayer on your yard you, onbiously, will need a hose long enough to comfortably reach the farthest areas of your yard. Nice, simple video, Pete.
Ben Harrison HA HA. I figured my audience, like yourself, are smart enough to figure that part out. LOL. I’m just picking at you Mr. Ben. You’re one of my favorite subs. I look forward to your comments 😎
GCI Turf Services Yep, Pete, you would hope that folks would think of making sure their hose is long enough to do the job, but sometimes you just never know so it never hurts to mention it. :-)
Awesome videos! My wife and I are so impressed with your passion for the Lord and the love of your wife. My question. I applied some RGS and Air-8 today with the forecast of some rain knowing these products need watered in. Can you get too much rain? We've gotten over 1.5" already with more rain yet over night. Actually in a flash flood watch. I want the product watered in, not washed away. LOL..
Hello Pete you put out such an informative channel I have stumped the local Cal State Univ of Fresno with the bio stim package. Thanks for making me a horticulture professor on youtube. Be blessed!!
I had an older sprayer like that. I really love it for spraying the RGS and Air8. But either the micro green or the humic12 gum it up. Even after adding some water to the jub and removing the screen at the tip of the straw. I'd be interested to know if the sprayer you purchased has the same issue.
Thank you for all the informative videos Pete! I have the same hose end sprayer and the N-ext products. The mixture comes out much darker on the left side of the sprayer. Is anyone else experiencing the same with the Chappin sprayer?
Hi Pete! Got the Chapin Pro sprayer just like the video -- what setting do you use on the small gold dial? The instructions say the dial is for Teaspoons/Gallon? I'm currently running it on 5 but seems a little too light. Thanks and keep the video's coming!
Is there any calibration that you would do to these hose end sprayers? I tested mine to see how long it takes to spray 1 gallon of water out so I’d know how much time I would have to cover 1,000sf but that was about it or is there more?
As always, great info! What would you suggest for a first purchase of N-Ext products: the Bio-Stimulant pack, the Soil Activator pack, or something else? I’m growing a TTTF lawn from seed from nothing. Land was previously a cotton field. I’m towards the southern end of the transition zone and have fairly clay soil (water pools and runs off before soaking in).
Pete.. Got some liquid Dominion 2L that I want to spray through my ortho hose end sprayer.Product seems real thick.Should I add some water to mix so it flows better? Or is it ok as is? Thanks Man.. great videos.
yes sir.... I made this vid because I realize there are folks out there that may be a little shy of "sprayers" but may want to try out some RGS. i just wanted to show folks how easy it is. Thanks for the comment
So is it better to use the hose method over back pack sprayer? My Bio pack is on the way and after watching this video I'm wondering if this is easier since pumping the back pack sprayer can be a workout?
or buy a battery powered sprayer... or use your hose end sprayer... both work good. I sell a battery powered sprayer + sprayer nozzle assembly that changes the game in spraying.
Hey Pete, big fan of the channel and looking into using these products around the house. I noticed it dosent answer one question anywhere on the label (I may have missed it on the channel). How long do you have to stay off the grass after application of these products? I have a couple dogs and was curious.
That Chapin brand one he was using does have a dial marked in increments of 1 to 10 tablespoons per gallon or at least it looks like the one I own which is definitely pretty accurate because I've checked the calibration on mine. Also I disagree with him to some extent on the use of herbicides in that sprayer. I've had very good results with mine with certain herbicides, you just have to know how to do the math and practice with just water for a test run to make sure you apply the right amount of product in the right amount of water over the right amount of area.
I made this vid because I realize there are folks out there that may be a little shy of "sprayers" but may want to try out some RGS. i just wanted to show folks how easy it is. Yes you can spray herbicides with these but I said that so the newbies do not screw up and over apply herbicides using a hose end sprayer. . LOL

I need some info. I have the bio stimulant package and if i put all 4 products in the jug and try to spray it clogs..bout 16 ounces of product. Even if i put 8 ounces and fill with water it still clogs. So which bio-stimulant is the issue? 1 of the 4 products had particles in it that clogs it up.. is that why this video and the green county video use just a tad or they dont use all 4 products together in the video?
Leon Herndon Jr. Microgreen is the thicker product. Did you remove the filter? Though it takes some extra time I have had better luck only mixing two at a time.
Look at this applicator, text book overlapping pattern. :) Thanks for the video Pete I bought a hose end sprayer just to do this very thing spray humic acid or any non-burning chunky supplements I'd rather not put through my electric backpack sprayer because they sometimes clog and I'd rather reserve that calibrated piece of equipment for my herbicide and fungicide applications.
GCI Turf Services, now here's the best part. I've been a somewhat loyal customer to another online lawn care company because of their large selection of herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and insecticides but their price on HydroHume doesn't hold a candle to the Greene County Fertilizer products. I'll be placing an order with GCI Turf Academy using your coupon code you published in one of your videos.
Hi Pete, love your channel, your stuff is easy to understand, keep up the great wok. I do have a question, I am getting a new house and it has a lovely yard and landscaping. The lands scaping, much and plant beds are more impressive than the grass so I will have my work cut out for me. It's cool season turf up in Massachusetts. I would like a recommendation on what type/brand/style of mower I should by. I will have 20,000 sq feet of truff to take care of, in addition to the 15,000 sq feet of beddings and stuff, the footprint of the house is about 2,500 sq feet all on 1.31 acre lot.
Meaning yes it would be too much or no it would not be too much? I am sorry I am confused by your reply. It is downright expensive, I can tell you that, but anything worth buying usually is.
Pete you have the BEST lawn management channel on UA-cam. Your tips and explanations are very much appreciated
Thank you sir
I agree. I have the best lawn in my sub-division because of Pete and a few others. How long dis it take you to spray all 15oz.
maybe 8 minutes or so. I am sure they make hose end sprayers that spray faster or slower
I retired two years ago and I started with a little garden thanks to you videos I’m working in my front lawn is looking pretty I can wait to receive the order I placed from you thank you for encouraging me every morning I checked for a new video
Yes mam you are quite welcome
I hope I have a plush lawn like that one day. So thick and green, beautiful!
Thank you for making this easy to understand for a new gardener & lawn girl!
Great. Sir. Just picked up a Chameleon hose end sprayer for the yard. Thanks for explaining everything! You are tremendously helpful.
Pete what number you set the dial on the chapin sprayer? Oh yea how much water you added?
Pete you just made this easy for me and many others. Love watching your videos, thank you very much.
Jason Karas just wait till you see how easy it is in my next video
Thanks for this Pete - I've always been reticent to use a hose-end sprayer because it seems to imprecise. This helps!
Pete,Thank you for this video, now I get it,I have scratch my head bald trying to to the math
your way is a lot easier!! Thank you again.
it's easy friend
Thank you Peter great video. But what is the sprayer set at? Mines has a dial. Based 6 oz rgs & the other 8 oz.
Perfect the best explanation ever! Thank you Pete

I have only sprayed rgs and hmic 12 with it works fine. i think thats a Chapin hose end sprayer i used
Great explanation !

mine gets clogged up
Good prices on the RGS and Humic12
at the heavier dose(6oz), 1 gallon can do 21,000 sq ft.
Your 5 gallon deal will cover 63,000 square feet!
yes sir
Hi Pete! Got the Chapin Pro sprayer just like the video -- what setting do you use on the small gold dial? The instructions say the dial is for Teaspoons/Gallon? I'm currently running it on 5 but seems a little too light. Thanks and keep the video's coming!
I use setting 10
Thank you, Sir!
Great video Pete !! 👍
If you could recommend a beer while I do this, that would be great!
Could you add a marker color to this sprayer? would it help?
Apply goodness to the yard. Well said, sir!

No sir thats about as good as it gets with a hose end
Okay just checking. Thanks. 👍🏼
How do I keep it from clogging when I use copper moss spray?
Do you have the link to this exact sprayer setup I would like to purchase that! Thanks for the content, keep up the good work!
I do not I bought it off amazon. Its the chapin pro model
i have the Chapin as well and removed the filter to apply N-EXT products but it clogs up, how do you prevent that?

Iabeerbrewer, I saw Lawncology did a video on that sprayer and he removed the screen to help with the flow.
Thanks lawn dad👍
That's right! no need to do any math, just measure your area and apply the recommended product size at any rate.
Your sprayer nozzle assembly kills it when compared to this method ... way more efficient. But ... it costs a bit more upfront.
yes sir.... I made this vid because I realize there are folks out there that may be a little shy of "sprayers" but may want to try out some RGS. i just wanted to show folks how easy it is. Thanks for the comment
So what did you set it at? 10? 5? 2 ?
He says 10

just let it dry real good and you are fine or after its watered in you are fine whichever comes first
I know they aren't perfectly calibrated but why not use one with a dial so you can select the product/water ratio? I use the Ortho version.
That Chapin brand one he was using does have a dial marked in increments of 1 to 10 tablespoons per gallon or at least it looks like the one I own which is definitely pretty accurate because I've checked the calibration on mine. Ok, the "no herbicide" threw me off too, thought there wasn't a dial. I put Weed-B-Gone concentrate in mine and I'm happy with it.

Matthew Ferguson yeah the microgreen is the problem.. i figured that out after mixing small amounts in cups to see what the problem was.. thanks
Leon Herndon Jr. And remove the screen i tried placing all 4 at once too. I needed to stir it up well before spraying
Guessing you're not a fan of the weed killers that come in the bottle/hose end sprayer.
Shouldn’t you walk backwards rather than through/into the spray?

Don't you need to incorporate the natural adjutant and ph adjustment product while making these applications?
you can do it either way. i did not have any Natural Adjuvant at my house when i made this video
Is that chew in your pocket???🤣🤦♂️😂
Why is this one plant in the bed way bigger than the others? Oh I dropped an ounce of concentrate on it.
