This is awesome! I think the real key people need to realize is at 14:15 where Pete talks about the lightweight spray hose. Proper hose management is really tough with a garden hose but with a true spray hose, it almost glides over top of the lawn. It's hard to explain but once you experience it, you will know the true joy of spraying and praying!
As an old retired guy who just filled up my 4 gallon backpack sprayer 4 times today in the Texas heat for PGR and Greene Effect, this looks like a God send!!
Game changer…Cart buddy is the winner for me. Mobility/agitation/cordless! I’m very particular on application rates and my backpack sprayer worked but was very cumbersome for my yard. Not a fan of the tow behind and the stand on just doesn’t make financial sense for my yard. Can’t wait to use it this spring!
Man, a true pioneer of DIY lawn care. This is incredible Pete, and sorry I've been late viewing this. Here is what we all need now; a professional video like this one, tailored to our wives and how we MUST have this product. We'll be waiting haha.
Amazing work sir! Congrats on your current and future success with this.
Shut up and take my money!!!! Lol. Pete, this is awesome, I’ve been waiting for a long long time for this and I’m truly excited for you!!! I can’t wait to get one. As a fellow business owner, we don’t have much time to get things done. This will aid and help me get back in the lawn again because it will cut down on time, and time is the most valuable and irreplaceable thing in this world. I wish you nothing but success with this invention.
The post mount was genius. Aside from people without a great wall option, lots of people have fences.
Pete, you did a really good job focusing on getting out all the details and nothing else. Appreciate it a lot!
Well, I have only one thing to say Pete … CONGRATULATIONS !!!
I am still using my 2 gallons sprayer I purchase on your website few years ago but it means 6 refills to do my entire lawn.
I like what you are showing us in this video … 👌👍☝️.
A+++
Congratulations Pete ! You are on to something!
Congratulations Mr. Pete! Know you have been working on this for a while now. You can tell the amount of thought and detail you have put into this, with all of the different options and use cases that the Spray Buddy can tackle. Once again, congratulations sir!
Great work Pete! Wishing you great success.
Pete you’re a genius!
Congrats Pete! I’ll be saving up for the 10 gallon! Praying for your success brother.
The video is from last year but what is pretty evident is from the mix buddy you have visible spill on the concrete/wall. I think it would be a great idea if you made a wall/floor protector available for both the mix buddy and spray buddy. Since we have chemicals and water being poured into these guys there is inevitable spillage. Some kind of rubber wall shield with a catch basin at the bottom with about an inch or two of a lip. Maybe 32” wide and 40-50” tall. Just an idea. Hope this would be available at some point.
Oh man, this looks like an absolute game changer - wow!
Wow love the concept.i have a 20000 sq.ft.lawn space ,this product looks like a time saver and game changer for spraying your lawn.....my old kentucky lawn
Man, i like the agitation and refilling the backpack option..
Same but it’s $950!!!
@johnbunani1341 True, but it sure would be nice not to have to premix by hand as often.
Again Pete, you’re a genius!
Congratulations, Pete! That’s pretty awesome!
I believe I might have to invest in my yard... Outstanding product and thank you for your excellent idea.
Congrats Pete! Best of luck with the products!
pretty cool pete, i like it
Well done Pete!
Man I just ran across you on the SHOP app with your products on there after ordering something on eBay. It caught my attention seeing the spray book so I looked you up on UA-cam and sure enough you have videos! Now I’m watching them all. We currently don’t offer spraying and fertilizing but have always had an interest in learning about it, it’s such a huge stream of revenue. Ultimately I would just love to learn to make my yard look even better. Do you guys offer courses on teaching ? I would love to partake in one. A local landscape supply store offers a class and license test twice a year. Glad we found you !
Awesome job Pete! I just shared this video on a Bermuda group. I believe you will have a lot of interest.
Deal breaker here ❤
200th like!!
Super siked for this! Thanks Pete great product - I gotta make a budget line item for this for 2024!!
I did this too for small properties Pete. Excellent idea and product.
Can’t wait. I use your program for the yard and results are exactly what you said they’d be. I current use a 25g pull behind sprayer that i have to fill 5 times for my 50k SF yard. Looking at the 50g spray buddy. Also would love if you had an app for the spray program that puts everything on a calendar that lets you order through it etc.
Great video, this product looks fantastic to me.
Best wishes for great success with it Pete!!
👍🏼💜✝️
I love this guys products.
Nice Job, as always, Pete!!
what is the volume of product that is left in a 200 foot hose when you are done spraying? Is it a gallon? How do you clean this out after you spray? Feels like it will waste a lot of product for single use vs. a commercial sprayer who is doing 15 lawns today with the same treatment.
This is brilliant! I hope you move a lot of them
Wow great work Pete!
Praying for your dad, Pete! May the Lord heal him.
Wow, this is amazing. It's currently not in my budget but boy do I wish it was. This is a fantastic idea especially for the serious diy homeowner with a larger lot. Spraying anything over 10k is a bear with backpack, and tow behind is "good" but this, this, just wow. I've got about 30k and the practicality of this is amazing... Great Job, great idea, the only thing that'll hurt this will be consumer budgets. BUT I want one, like real bad.. wonder how much plasma I'd need to sell 🤔
Looks great Pete!
Thanks 👍
Pete, you or one of the crew has probably already thought of this but here goes nonetheless. For someone with a long distance to spray, a cart or post mount additional hose reel might be a good offering. something you can quick connect to the main system. This would be especially slick with some kind of remote on off option.
Well, thank you this answers my question in the last video 🤣
Nice setup
Amazing, I had to create my own system before with its own issues. Hardest part was the cleaning process. Does this have an automated process to clean the tank and hose when you finish? Also, does it get out all the remaining product from the hose?
Looks awesome!
Awesome product! I hope the 50 gallon Spray Buddy will have a 600 - 1,000 ft hose.
1000’ of hose? The largest reels we have on our spray trucks is only 400. You’d have to have a crazy strong pump to make it work with 1000’ of hose
Awesome video loved the vroll
I’d love to mount the tank & hose reel in my truck if possible 🤞🏻
That’s coming over winter sir
Looking forward to the 2 15 gallon tanks. I have 1.5 acres to cover.
Looks like a great product Pete. I heard you mention a mower mount system coming. If it can be made to spray behind the mower while riding and calibrated for the width of the deck, you could absolutely change the game again and send providers profits through the roof. Look forward to what's coming in the future. Also Pete I live rather close to you if you need a field tester😉
Looking forward to mounting on 3 point tractor or 4 wheeler, any updates?
That looks awesome
It looks absolutely fantastic. One question, why start with a battery requirement when it's mounted in the garage? Why not start with a plug?
I did start off that way. I thought folks would prefer a battery option. I will have a 110v option in about 2-3 weeks.
Could this not have a trolley mount option? Would mean you could have a smaller length hose and just roll the whole system to the area you need it
The cart buddy is just that
Is the hose reel comparable in quality to the Eley hose reel?
Who manufactured the seals in the Mix Buddy and Spray Buddy? Viton?
What material is the hose made out of? Is it abrasion resistant?
Wow on price.
Pretty good all things considered!
I coulda went across the water and had it made for 1/3 this cost. I choose to support America and American companies.
@@GCITurf I’ve never understood this concept of “supporting America” by buying from American companies, yet in the end the cost goes through the roof because its “made in the USA” which in turn makes the AMERICAN bite the bullet and pay much more out of their very own pocket. How is that supporting Americans?
@@johnbunani1341I have no control over what American companies charge for their stuff. What I do have control over is how I spend my money and I choose to buy stuff from American companies who employee Americans which in turn “supports Americans”. No different than if you choose to buy fertilizer or seed from me you’re “supporting” an American and an American business.
Mix buddy looks interesting for me. It says it's modular can you explain that I didn't see any images.
If someone needs to mount the Spray Buddy outside and they have freezing cold winters, is the Spray Buddy easily removed from the mount to be taken inside or will it handle being left mounted outside in the freezing tempatures, sleet, snow, etc?
Yes. Very easy to remove and store inside
Big budget for a big yard... But dang cool.
Not sure how much this assembly weighs, but I would love it if someone made an 8 or even 10 gallon backpack sprayer. As you play around with mounting options, I'd love a backpack adapter. Straps, tank, pump... and then ability to connect your various booms directly to the thing without 200 feet of hose.
Man i wish i had yard bigger than 2500. The flowzone cyclone is perfect for my small yard but i may invest in the gci injection for when i want to water in my products at the time of application and don't want to carry my backpack sprayer.
Build quality looks great. Is the hose as light as a Zero-G hose? And is the pump replaceable?
Yes it is. Might be a touch lighter
Based on website pricing, why is the 5g more than the 10g?
@pete Ive got the wand buddy but its only about 24" long. The one you are using in this video seems to be 48" or more. Is that one available? I didn't find it on the website and the GCI FB Group wasnt sure either. Thx!
That longer Lance only comes in the SB gun kit gciturfacademy.com/collections/spray-buddy/products/spray-buddy-premium-spray-gun-and-nozzles-kit
Tempting, I might just pull the trigger on it at some point in the future. Any word on the jug buddy?
Still waiting on part pricing to come back down for that
Do you have to water the product in since more water is being used?
That would 100% depend on the product being used.
I'm having trouble finding some product dimensions. Once mounted; how far does the 15,000-sf mix buddy tank stick out from the wall?
This is cool idea and great product .... BUT ... I Wish there was a spray buddy for people that have roughly 1 acre ... seems like this is for people that live in town or a small lots ... a HUGE jump from the 20 gallon and 50 gallon. I roughly have 25,000-30,000 sq. ft. of grass. Yes, I know I could use the 20 and then have to fill it up a couple of times or overkill the 50 gallon and in most cases a lot more than most homeowners need.
Will battery be compatible with other power tool batteries as already have enough batteries Dewalt
I’d have to double check that but I don’t think so…
SPRAY BUDDY: The DIY spray system that makes you a professional.
There’s you some hose management 🤭😏🤣
@@jacobmcgee4849ole boy in that video knows something about some hose management I tell ya.
@@dailyDIYdude 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pete, I love it. Just don’t see it as practical in my home or entire region. I live in north Texas. Budget is limitless. My restriction is location. I have over 20,000 square feet of front yard to my home. 12,500 to my back yard. But in this area or region, garages are in the back of the house and connected to an alleyway. To reach the majority of my property I would need MASSIVE amounts of hose to wrap around either side of the house to reach any part of my front yard. 100% of my. Eighbprs and region would be the same.
technically you can post mount it anywhere, you could also get a cover made for it when not in use.
@@RSTX1836 HOA most likely would have a couple thousand fine for that. Talking 5 to 25 plus million homes.
@@andrewkirwan517 ppl with 5-25m homes are spraying their own chems? you can also mount it to a UTV etc. There is always a way sir!
@@RSTX1836 i absolutely love doing e wry thing and anything in my lawn or garden. I could pay anyone any amount but that does not give me the satisfaction I get from doing it myself. I only pay an abro list to trim my large trees once a year and I pay someone to pressure wash my driveways twice a year. Other than that I even do my own Christmas lights
How do you currently spray your grass?
And what about warranty,,,
One year on most of the components. The reel has a 3 year warranty
I have 67,364 sq. Ft. to spray I believe I need to wait and see what you have for a 4-Wheeler. What do you think?
It’s coming…
how is this different from a dosatron or syphon injector?
Those mentioned are injection systems. Spray Buddy is a commercial grade skid sprayer condensed to fit in the garage. And it costs considerably less than a commercial skid sprayer.
Im not an expert but for $2000 I feel like I could buy a tow behind sprayer and not have to walk around spraying chemicals I could just drive around spraying....😂😂
😂😂 you sure can if you choose.
@GCITurf it really is a great idea.. can you make one tow behind? Or even something to set in the bed of my side by side?
@@Mr._Craig yep. Those models are coming over winter
@GCITurf Excellent!! I can't wait!
It would be nice to mix everything at once and go out one time… my birthday is coming let’s see what my wife says
I think I would wear some sort of respirator if I was a professional lawn guy who has to spread chemicals.
I’m not sure a lot of people are going to want this in their garage near pets or kids…. rolling up a wet hose that is covered in herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. Something to think about.
Is your kid or dog really likely to go lick the hose while it’s wet?
You could of course mount it wherever you want to.
Build it it’s own little dog house to hide in.
But after the hose is dry it won’t harm anything anyway.
It’s the same chemicals we are spraying on the lawn so we are hopefully aware of the risks of exposure to our kids and pets as well as how to mitigate them.
And you can just call them pesticides.
@@jaxturner7288 I don’t have the issue. It was just a thought.
@@HabilisMan lol yeah we can kinda tell from your first comment. 👍
@@jaxturner7288It's a legitimate concern and one that I had as well.
Wash the hose off with water before you roll it up.
