I'm not a drummer. Never even tried to learn. But damn if I don't want to learn after watching how much fun, and affordable, that kit looks to be!
Me too, but I don't really like the sounds coming with the kit. And I don't want to go buy software to import better sounds in to them. So I think I'm going with an Alesis kit instead.
Electric kits are great for beginners and those that have limited space and noise concerns
They can be good for pretty much anyone even pro's. This one is on the cheaper side and if you don't like something about it just buy better replacement. If you want higher quality sounds they're way cheaper than whole new kit.

I'm a total beginner and I have the exact same kit. The Doom Metal setting converts the hi-hat pedal into another bass pedal.

@@Ashaliel a couple of the reviews I read (at least on UK Amazon store over here) say that it’s great for apartment use. One of them is a professional drummer of over 25 years, and wanted a quiet kit to practice with, and very happy with the results!

I used to play my first drums using the hit-hat pedal as an another bass pedal for 5 years.
As a warning I'll say, it will be pretty hard to learn how to play real double pedals if you do that for that long.

The fact that it comes with a drum stool and kick pedal puts it ahead of most other entry level kits.

I heard war pigs, my dad and I used to jam that song when I was like 13, he was so stoked to have somebody to be on the drums for it. This thing sounds surprisingly decent and accurate for $420, crazy. Great playing as usual

I play the drums for over 50 years, swore by my Ludwig set and my Zildjian cymbals and look down on anything that weren't traditional drums. Having seen this video I humbly and unabashedly admit that I was close-minded. I still have my full set of Ludwig's, but I am very tempted to buy this set. Great video too!
I hear you 40 some years playing myself TAMA for me. I recently bought an Alesis electric kit after watching another electric kit review, he did a bit Back. They are very fun to play
Thanks for unboxing, assembling, demonstrating the sound of each pad and playing the preset songs. By doing so you gave us a great idea about the set. In doing so I’m leaning towards making a purchase of this same set. I’ve had a Yamaha electronic kit for years which is starting to go out. Instead of finding replacement pads I think it’s best to invest in the donner set. Thanks for sharing.

This kit looks and sounds about as good as the Roland TD-6KW i had a while back, and that cost more than double this kit, and only had a mesh snare, 2 cymbals and no accessories. Great value this thing

New to drumming. (Was a concert percussionist back in the day, but...) I'm looking for drumkit options and found this video REALLY helpful.
I have the previous version of this kit with the basic module. It works well enough, but I wish they sold the new module by itself, because I would definitely upgrade. So far, I upgraded the snare to a Pintech CC101B (almost identical to the 102B, really), and I'll be getting a double kick pedal as soon as I can. Otherwise, I'm having a blast with ir!

It’s a good kit for beginners like myself it’s the one I got to start out because of all the stuff it came with. And got mine on Prime day off Amazon and got it for about $380, I did upgrade on the throne already but I went with the Donner brand throne and I love it.
Killer playing! I bought a drumpad and some sticks a month ago.
I bought one of these donner kits last year without without the stool to teach myself to play and although i still suck the kit still sounds really good with no dead spots.

I am also not a drummer, but this drum set sounds very good and you did a great demo of all the features it can do. Also you are an amazing drummer and looks like you can play to any style of music. For 450 dollars, that is not a bad price for what you showed it can do.

That is awesome value for money. My one and only electronic kit I brought was a Roland TD3. It didn't come with half of what that was. I remember spending $4500 to get the kit, extra cymbal, boom arm and kick pedal. Hated playing on it with the cappy rubber pads, much prefered my acoustic kit to it.
The sounds during the unboxing really cracked me up.
I really love how he always put a smile on his face when doing these videos, kinda gets a little contagious if I do say so myself. Especially with the 22 jokes and others

I bought this kit at Christmas time when it was first released. (I somehow got it for close to half this price, wow) I love it. It's my first electronic kit. And it's all I play on now. I was amazed at the quality, and responsiveness of all of these components at this price point. The drum throne was pretty bad, but hey, at least they throw it in. I considered it a freebee that would get someone by until they have a chance to get a decent one. The headphones were surprisingly clear and sounded very good. I would highly recommend this kit as well.
Does the sound differ from how hard you hit it. I don’t think he did a test in this video and I’m wondering for myself, hoping to get this kit for Christmas yk

I bought it. It's a lot of fun. I use it almost every day. Trying to learn some songs as well as make my own beats. Still can't get the speed and power in my left hand yet.
