You really inspire me to stop being lazy and to not cut corners when it comes to making my own clothes. The end result is fantastic, but all the details inside? Chef's kiss fr. Thank you and good job!
LOVE all the orange details, and I really appreciate how you showed off a skillshare class that was actually relevant and totally upscaled your project too! so many creators seem to just say ‘oh i took a business class’. I didn’t expect machine embroidery to be that easy, will for sure be checking it out!
I’m in the middle of making a jumpsuit too! You have a completely different approach to assembly but that’s one cool thing about sewing. It looks wonderful!
Oooh how fun! Yes I was sort of making it up as I went! If I didn't do a zipper or had a side seam in the waistband, it would have been much more straight forward haha!
Great job! My head is still spinning that construction is so intense but a fabulous make. Enjoyed watching the process. Can’t wait to see your next creation. You are a wonderful seamstress.
I really like watching your videos. They are so entertaining. I need to put mind elsewhere as I am really sad as one my cats passed away today. I am rewatching your videos and making my self busy.
I've been looking for the perfect jumpsuit and I think you made it. I know this was at least a year ago, but I still hope a pattern might be on the way!
Wow Lydia! This jumpsuit project was such a flex. The little details and all the patterning and even down to the seams! So profesh ✨ AND super cute! I literally clapped when you showed the final result
Omggg!! I love the look of doneness and professional of how your garment went 😍😍😍 When will you release the jumpsuit pattern??? Because I want to make it like that
OMG Lydia! That jumpsuit is gorgeous. The sewing quality is so top notch that it looks store-bought. Amazing! I would love to make one of these for myself.
so cool! girl you are a stitch and a half! i learn something new every time. i'm so glad you went the extra mile to make the inside as attractive as the outside!
WOWWWW, you are so talented! Everything came together so beautifully - I love the contrast of the denim with the orange gingham fabric. It looks so wonderful!
You are hilarious…loved loved loved everything. Great content & I’m super impressed with your embroidery. I NEVER DO HAND EMBROIDERY, since I have an embroidery machine (Bernina)…so love it. Your denim fabric and lining so gorgine 🦩💋💨 Your attention to detail is fabulous…the binding is everything. Came out FANTASTIC. Can’t wait for your next project.
First I am OBSESSED with jumpsuits. I wonder if your pattern works for apple bottom frames like mine.😍 Every time I watch your video, I feel inspired and then intimidated. Your creativity and skills are so professional and retail ready!
Oh wow, it turned out super cute!!! I have some patchwork denim too, but I'm waiting for that perfect project to use it. I really love your jumpsuit.....thanks
its a dream jumpsuit for real ! good job girl and i really liked the orange touch ..if i did a similar one i would go with the orange on the right side cause that's cool ...such a nice piece u added to your warde robe
That looks like such a job!!! But those are the ones that give you the best feeling when you finish, and it looks great btw😍. I’m a fan of jumpsuits but haven’t attempted a fly yet 🙃. Love your videos, big hug from Tenerife 😘😘😘
Hey Lydia! in the middle of the overalls. Watched this video way too many times, any plans to create a pattern for this jumpsuit please?- Would love to make these too 🙏❤
Wow I learned so much from watching this video! Thank you for sharing your tips and for showing the problems that came up. I'd love to learn more about your tools for sewing with denim: what type of thread and what size needle did you use? and how many times did you have to change it throughout the project?
So glad you enjoyed! I used a size 16 needle a tex 40 thread (usual thread is 27-30). I think I had 2 or 3 bobbin changes throughout the project. The embroidery was just a regular gutterman sew all thread. I will put this in the description as well :)
Hi Julie, I chose it because it comes with padding and a slip cover to get your exact body shape. You can pin straight into it all the way as it has a hard foam inside and it was a bit cheaper than the traditional dress form. I also saw a fellow sewer talk about it and really like it. One thing is that it is a bit tall at its lowest setting, I figure I can get it cut down if its a real problem. I haven't used it much yet but I am excited to do some draping :)
Lydia, I love your sewing videos but I'm also enamored by your editing! I'm a little sheepish to ask, but do you mind sharing what editing tool you use?
I punch a large hole in my pattern pieces and hang it on a pattern hook on a rack. My designs are all sketched out in a notebook and my pattern process work for most of my patterns are all in illustrator. This is one of the rare times i drafted physically. Hope that helps ☺️
It's the Fabulous fit form, you can get a padding pack to make it your shape. I haven't really used it yet but I am excited. One great thing is that its firm but you can stick your pin all the way in because it has a firm foam base layer.
@@LydiaNaomi Let us know when you make it. It would probably take me a month of watching and reading but that jumpsuit is worth it. PLEASE DO IT. It is MY DREAM jumpsuit.
It certainly takes practice! I have sewn many fully lined garments of varying complexity. I would say start easier and work your way up otherwise you may be discouraged if you take on too great of a challenge at first. You will get there, just keep at it!

Your humor 🤣 😂 😆 love it
Seriosuly, sewing among all other endeavors (knitting, crochet, beadweaving, etc.) has brought me to my KNEEEEEEEES.
It turned out soooo cute!!!!
I love how she sounds EXACTLY like my inner voice. The way she speaks is literally the way the voiceover for my intrusive thoughts goes by.
You really inspire me to stop being lazy and to not cut corners when it comes to making my own clothes. The end result is fantastic, but all the details inside? Chef's kiss fr.
Thank you and good job!
You can do it! As soon as I decided to go slow and be detailed my sewing improved dramatically and my speed also improved! Have fun!
LOVE all the orange details, and I really appreciate how you showed off a skillshare class that was actually relevant and totally upscaled your project too! so many creators seem to just say ‘oh i took a business class’. I didn’t expect machine embroidery to be that easy, will for sure be checking it out!
Thank you! Yes I have been exploring their sewing content and its pretty great!

I have narrow hips and a bit of an apple bottom actually so my pants patterns will always have a bit more room back there!
@@LydiaNaomi good to know. MAKE THAT PATTERN - LOL

I am actually sewing with yellow thread on a sunflower cotton fabric friend.
3 peas in a pd we are with all that yellow! 😂💖 Yellow is awesome! Glad you are sewing with it!
Yes on the thought of orange top stitch thread…it would of popped. Note to self on the next one.
I agree!!

you are good
Hi Lydia! Would you please share why you chose the Fabulous Fit dressform? I’m hankering for a dressform but not sure if I’d really use it...😉
Hi Julie, I chose it because it comes with padding and a slip cover to get your exact body shape. You can pin straight into it all the way as it has a hard foam inside and it was a bit cheaper than the traditional dress form. I also saw a fellow sewer talk about it and really like it. Lydia, I love your sewing videos but I'm also enamored by your editing! I'm a little sheepish to ask, but do you mind sharing what editing tool you use?
Thank you! I actually use iMovie and canva together. I create animated graphics in canva and if I'm overlaying it I just use a green screen.
@@LydiaNaomi Thank you so much! It comes through so fabulously :-)
Gorgeous!! Is the pattern gonna be on your shop???
How do you organize your patterns or your drawings designs? 💕
I punch a large hole in my pattern pieces and hang it on a pattern hook on a rack. My designs are all sketched out in a notebook and my pattern process work for most of my patterns are all in illustrator. This is one of the rare times i drafted physically. Hope that helps ☺️
I wish i could wear yellow but it wash me out so badly. A few shades of darker mustard can work but thats so hard to find
Nice looking. But, could have used more instructions along the way for those of us trying to follow along and also make one.
Noted!! This was more of a vlog than an in depth tutorial this time. I m doing a lot more detailed videos now 😁
Which brand of dress form did you get? I’m looking for a new one.
It's the Fabulous fit form, you can get a padding pack to make it your shape. I haven't really used it yet but I am excited. One great thing is that its firm but you can stick your pin all the way in because it has a firm foam base layer.
How did you get your exact body measurements body form and how much was it?
It's not exact but there is padding that you can make it exact. I think its fab fit forms and was about $500 if I remember correctly!
I didn't see the jumpsuit pattern on your website???
It isn't sorry! this one would be soo much work haha
@@LydiaNaomi Let us know when you make it. It would probably take me a month of watching and reading but that jumpsuit is worth it. PLEASE DO IT. It is MY DREAM jumpsuit.
👍🌹
Please please please make a pattern
waaaa its so much work haha!

how tf do people do this . i got halfway thru a jacket 2 years ago and it nearly killed me
