We have tried them through both tighter and more open chokes with the same kinda results. I don't have an improved modified for the 835, but maybe we can try them through a much more open choke to see what happens. I doubt it will help, but you never know
I dont care about the pattern but just for the sake of shooting is it okay to shoot 2 3/4" 00 buck shells out of the 835 with the stock full turkey choke? I dont wanna mess up the barrel but I wanna shoot and the range only allows 00buck and slugs and Id need a different barrel for slugs. Would 00 buck be fine with the stock choke?
Yes, it's perfectly fine to use buckshot in an 835 with the stock turkey full choke. I have done it a number of times here on the channel. When it comes to an 835, you can run buckshot through pretty much any choke all the way down to a .680 constriction with no worries. Once you get tighter than that, I would pay attention to what the choke manufacturer says you can run through it. And as you said, yes, you would need a different barrel if you were to use slugs since the stock barrel is over-bored.
Yeah, that is one of my concerns with the shells. I definitely don't claim to be an expert at loading shells, but they just seem like they are being pushed too fast for how they are loaded
Might have needed a quick follow up shot if possible on the deer/pig templates.
I think you would have still got them, but you may have had a decent tracking job on your hands
Try a improved modified I always got great patterns with that combo

Pushing lead faster than 1250 FPS, especially buckshot, is pointless.
