The Star Citizen community would gain more from individuals like Grumpy, rather than another IGN or PC Gamer. It's clear which UA-camrs have taken on the role of Chris Roberts' IGN and PC Gamer.
CIG is giving free ships and giveaways to creators for free advertising. Essentially sponsered content that doesn't pay the content creators, it costs CIG nothing to give a code for any ship.
Dude are you seriously simping for the poor destitute UA-camrs? Like bro if UA-camrs are not making money they don’t need to make content. Content creators are bottom of the barrel trash, they ruin video game (look at tarkov and COD for examples) and they don’t create anything of real value. Seriously “guys they are not using our money to pay UA-camrs who already make money through sponsorship’s and UA-cam ads. Oh the horror”
@@loadingerror9975 aye first off chill the fuck out home slice…. Your defensive attitude is extremely unattractive. I was simply saying I’d rather them give away ships. than give out straight up cash money. Since that would be even more of a waist.
@@neroh7687Yes, instead it is spent on jetting around the globe for bar citizen on the company dime, cinematics for everything, and Chris to go from nearing bankruptcy in 2012, to being worth an estimated $30m without delivering anything in 2024. Money well spent?
Everyone that isn't a douchebag would. I'm like Grumpy, I berate things that need to be berated and praise things that need to be praised. The problem is, over the years, there are far more things to berate them over than there are things to praise them, therefore we look like we are just SC haters. I'm not a SC hater, I hate all game companies equally. (Looking at you too Eagle Dynamics!) The White Knights always say, "Game development is hard." Sure it is, but it's their profession, therefore they should have an idea of about how long things will take. When gaming companies consistently release late, it's piss poor project management.
Most of the current 'fudsters' would be more positive if CIG listened to feedback, and worked on things that players care about. But Chris has decided the focus must remain on sq42, while delivering fluff and hype for the PU to raise money.
to be honnest they're never felt customer friendly to me, even when they give you a reward for your accomplishments , the reward is the right to spend money on the pledge store, i mean... despicable.
oh nothing will happen to him. and that's the problem with this company - it encourages that kind of behaviour. Not that I want him to lose his job, but man... that's not how things should be ran.
The only way to fix this game is stop spending money on it. Trust me, it makes you feel much better when you just say NO. When they fix it and start listening to their backers, I'll return to funding it. You can talk about it until you're blue in the face and it will do no good at all. Give constructive criticism in a nice way and close your wallet to it.

In my honest opinion, this (the ATLS) is something they could have at least given for free to long time backers as a "thank you" and released for sale in game immediately. It is beyond me how they keep working on new ships for new money but ships they sold years ago are still jpegs to this day and others have a thousand bugs but never get fixed. They're always working towards the next sale and next cash grab.
Plus, they could have made it with thrusters so it can be used in space and in atmosphere. We can thrust up to pull boxes out of destroyed ships on planets
In immediate release state no feature but walk-like and TB a crate, I would be thankful to cig but over $10~15 is ridiculous how the argo lackluster is. The only good thing with atls is the walk animation, the rest is BS and can easily be marketing shotgunned down for TB strength and speed, just like... Redeemer getting nerfed next patch for 0 reasons but fit to sell concepts and designs.
The best way to describe Star Citizen in 2024 is “unreliable”.. just considering logging on induces a sense of dread, nausea, and uncertainty if a session will be worth it 😢
True words... Its a shame how CIG is lying to their backers again, again and again. And some guys still don't realize that. You can only bring CIG back to the ground by not giving them money anymore until they deliver.
Commiserations Grumpy and thank you suffering through, so we don't have to. On other matters, as a native english speaker, have no worries you speak just fine and nail it like a native with the phrasing, speech patterns and mannerisms.
hey grumpy, i study media studies and "noise" is the category name where feedback, both positive and negative, as well as other things, are placed into.
Actually I agree with you! There has been fear from the very start concerning the fact that it's a perfectionist designer that was holding the reins of the game! people were concerned that the game would either be forever held back by feature creep OR just take forever because each and every aspect would be nitpicking by CR and take forever to get done! I believe now the nitpicking is going to be their undoing and is why we see such a slow progress :( -- I really hope I am wrong though.
CIG: "give us feedback, see we're listening" Also CIG: 12 years of not listening... Its not going to change now, or else they would be have a final release v1.0 by now, not still in alpha v0.0.3.24.1 after 12 years.
Dude... have you seen the state of gaming? 8 years on Concord, it lasted 11 days. 11 years on Skull & Bones, it's trash. 7 years and over 400mil on Starfield and it's a 15yo game with a shit story... None of those game tried anything new nor pushed any boundaries... how are people still bitching for 12 years when we have all those exemples of games being shit after nearly 10 years in the oven despite being rehashed garbage from 10 years ago? CIG has issues, but those ain't it chief.
@@SeaRaven227 The examples you have provided is a testament to the fact that large amounts of funding and long lead times (many many years) in game development can still yield an extraordinarily bad game. Therefore, how is Star Citizen immune to this? For Star Citizen it has Massive funding ✅, Massive development time ✅, and it definitely appears to be going the way of the examples you provided. Just because SC has ambitions to "push gaming boundaries" doesn't make it immune to being a shit game. It's 12 years, and in a completely undesirable state of playing... can hardly consider it a game at this point... maybe a tech demo? If people continue to excuse CIG's lackluster return margins, CIG will burn. It's aligned with the age old wisdom of "A wise friend corrects, a flatterer destroys" or "Tough love". I criticize SC because I want it (so friggin badly) to become a game and CIG's vision to come to fuition. However, I've been disillusioned tracking their progress all these damn years. Ain't no way you can convince me that provided the funding and time they've had, SC in its current state is "OK" and that it can be excused because "they have ambitious goals". Copium is one hell of a drug.
@@schmagoogly I never said anything about SC being good or not, i said complaining about the time it takes to make it is not the way to go. What i'm pointing out is they had to build a whole new engine while Starfield used a 15yo engine yet still cost half SC's budget and 7 years of devellopment. They've managed to create systems people said would never work 10 years ago, yet Skull & Bones took Black Flag and after 11 years, only managed to make it worse in every way. All the recent flops in movies and games recently prove money and time don't mean anything, it's the people and contrary to Obsidian when they made New-Vegas in 18 months, the younger generation seems to suck ass at creativity and imagination... Do i wish they were further along? Of course, but the real issue here is not how long it's taken them, it's they hired a team that's WAY too big and eating all the cash they have, meaning the marketing dept has them by the balls making stuff to sell to keep the money flowing in. They also spend way too much on gatherings and ship models and automatic starship doors for their offices... All those things are fine when you have a revenue from selling stuff, NOT when you rely on donations to finish a project you have not delivered on yet. I expect the release of Sq42 may alleviate the issue somewhat by bringing some revenue in and lessen the power of the marketing dept. but who knows. Meanwhile, complaining about the time it takes them won't help, they CAN'T listen even if they wanted, because they desperately need to keep the money pooring in.
@@SeaRaven227 All very good points - we basically agree. CIG appears to have mismanaged their abundant resources and the current state of SC is the result of their blunders. Just because you clearly identified their issues, doesn't make it any less excusable. Had CIG managed their resources better, we'd be alot closer to our dream space game. Instead, we have the SC we have today. We need to keep criticizing them and providing feedback - not just glowing optimism about their ambition. A good dose of accountability is what CIG needs and deep look in the mirror. You, me and the SC community just want our dream game and CIG is not fostering this endeavor optimally. They have a lot of improvements to make not just in SC, but in their company if they want to make this happen.

You're 100% right, I'm a fairly new player in SC (since version 3.17), you're not the only one who thinks it's getting ridiculous, they're throwing around $50,100,1000 figures...and one module in DCS that's fully clickable and WORKS! ! it costs $50-100...if they continue with this philosophy, I think there will be a few hundred players left, if that many remain, but they are definitely losing big players who have been there since the very beginning and who have spent a lot of money. They introduce new things without making old mistakes that go back at least 4 years, if not 10 years, they haven't even looked at and which spoil the normal gameplay. Pozdrav iz Sarajeva !🍻
I mean, but you're not holding dcs's team to the same standard. You're holding star citizens to think about it. For a second dcs's team didn't have to design an aircraft from the ground up. The US government, the UK government, the Russian government and the Swedish government did that for them. That's years of development time, right there that they just don't have to do, they don't have to concept anything they don't have to run it through it art team that has to make changes. They don't have to run it through another team. To make sure that the art team's work is actually feasible in game, they don't have to do any of that, because it's done for them. It's all feasible, because it's all real If dcs developers had to design a plane from the ground up with no documentation and no reference point, it would also take them years to do and I'm talking about any of their teams, heat blur Eagle dynamics it doesn't matter, it would take years and speaking of it did take years for them. To design the F15E because while they had aircraft to reference so they still didn't have to do the design part, they couldn't get their hands-on the technical documents because they're still well classified, and that's why it took them so long, it's not like the big Inn, where you got access to the technical documents Or the older fa team models On top of that, d c s definitely still has a decent couple bugs that have been around for the past half decade I mean, there's a reason we're not gonna get an F35. Probably ever and it's because the no development studio in their right mind is going to take on a project where they only have a visual reference. However, they have none of the technical information, and that's pretty much what star citizens team is doing for every single aircraft, except for they don't even have the visual reference. Not only are we comparing apples to oranges, but you're comparing rotten apples to regular oranges On top of that, that's just the ship design team. We're not even talking about the actual game Game design team Which is responsible for a large majority of the f*** s*** That is in star citizen right now and even then, you've got to give them some slack, because again, they are not working off of real world. Reference points like the dcs team is the dcs team. Every map is based off of a real area which means they have satellite imagery, they have a bunch of s*** That makes the development process infinitely easier C I g does not have any of that On top of that DCS doesn't have great AI. In fact, I'd say, d c s is a I and star citizens a I are pretty much on the same level they both suck And break half of the time Even more than that, dcs doesn't need to worry about player interactions outside of the aircraft, like the aircraft interacts with the outside, but the player does not. The player can phase through a lot of s*** In dcs, it is an infinitely more challenging development process that cig has signed themselves up for making a game as ambitious as Star citizen and I'm not saying any of this to hate on the dcs development teams or this DC. S module makers But they Have a significantly easier job. Then the d c s teams due to the plethora of external references and resources that they have to their disposal, that you just cannot have in a fantasy world Go through and actually look at what dcs is supposed to be and you'll realize that it sounds f****** impossible when you take it into consideration like I've put it here and that's because it very well might be impossible cig are the first to do something like this. They are the only people to my knowledge to do something this f****** ambitious, and this Realistically stupid and because of that, 12 years really isn't a lot of time like don't get me wrong. It's a f*** ton of time, but if you look at everything that they are trying to achieve and you look at the methods and the development time on just achieving one of these things, if they put their whole team behind it. It would be still ridiculous. I mean, each one of these things alone, if you could just straight, focus on, that would take probably three and a half 24 years, they have like Four things that they're trying to do, but the problem is they're trying to do it all at once while making the experience semi playable, which delays them by years and If star citizen today said we're not gonna up-to-date the game anymore, but we are going to continue to develop it. We're just going to develop it on the back end without any of you guys being involved in the process at all people would lose it, but that's what's needed to get the game out as fast as everybody wants it, but nobody wants to give up the updates. You can't have both, you never have been able to And so long people don't understand this. The game is still going to take years longer than it realistically should to develop. Because I have never heard of a development studio. Developing a game while allowing players to actively ask for continuous optimization and balance changes in A Placeholder state It's absolute lunacy, and there's a good reason why not many development teams would ever f****** fathom. Doing what cig has truly, we probably could have gotten star citizen done either next year, or the year after that, if cig just didn't give any more updates to us, but there's 2 problems with that, and one is People are going to stop supporting. Because the truth is, people buy star citizen because it's a game that they can play the original backers didn't, but the backer, since definitely do And number two, public interest about the game, positive or negative would die down dramatically, these are two realities, it just can't happen
@@maddogtank8425 Thank you very much for the detailed comment... and I agree with you 99% and understand everything... but they promise a lot and give little... I also understand the magnitude of programming and development... and of course there will be bugs.. .but if only they fixed the existing gameplay so that people can enjoy it without having 30k every 5 minutes and slowly add some things along the way, I think it would be even more successful. I only mentioned DCS because of one thing, it doesn't matter the core of the game, you buy a plane model - it works, here they charge you 4x more and it doesn't work! that's the truth... I know it's a source of funding and ok... but at least let it work! Little things are accumulating and slowly they will lose the support of the players...unfortunately...I really support them and hope that they will sort themselves out, that they will do the server meshing and Pyro properly and that the game will last at least another 20 years. :)

Someone needed to say all this, and it may as well be you, Grumpy lol. Thank you for always keeping it real, and for holding CIG accountable, and for asking the REAL questions, and for keeping CIG honest. You are not alone. Every time I play lately it's like "wtf is this shit now?" because it's always something. I've backed this project since 2016 and I am so disappointed in the state of everything. We can only hope they listen to us backers and improve things. And that classification of backers is crazy! Never seen anything like it in a professional company before. Just shows the kind of people that work there, some of them. How is that even allowed? It's so disrespectful. Anyway, thanks for this vid! Edit: I just want to add that I am still hopeful for alpha 4.0 when hopefully they will fix a lot of things because from what I understand they've had to for server meshing. Things like the janky trains that wobble all over the place - being fixed for server meshing so that's probably why they've not bothered with it until now. Sucks for us but I get it. We have new huds coming soon. But yeah all of that pales in comparison to everything that is currently wrong with the game - basically everything you've covered with these recent 5 feedback videos. And top execs bailing and selling all their shares? What is going on? Great video!
Dude, been with this game for 2 years or so . Long time E.D. player and I gotta tell you, to me this game is not looking good. There is nothing I see in this game that warrants a 10 cycle to not be finished... This game is another 6 to 10 years before being finished at best and it feels like its just going to be this arcadey simish game or "meh". Its like it doesnt have a direction but a bunch of whims that go back and forth and none of it really works. I see people saying "its going to be this and that" , "this ship does this and the org will be able to do this"... I have a feeling these player "ideas" are going to be infinitely better than anything the game even gets close too.... I would be willing to bet , like E.D. while orgs will be a thing... I think the bulk of players will be solo or a couple of friends in a wing aka not looking to engage in org gameplay on the regular. This is going to kneecap the game big time.. All this huge azz ships that you will need 4 or more people to fly isnt going to make it in the long term, I dont think... Second, there is only going to be 2 systems in the game next year... 10 years and you might have 2 systems in a space game?? People wont even be able to go anywhere to get away from people any time soon and do their own thing... Being able to get around toll groups is important in games like this and being stuck in two systems and shoving every player into these 2 little system with no change to size for the foreseeable future is a problem. Lastly the glut of ships is getting old. 50% if them dont even have a function in the game and now they are just making ships that are better versions of the ships they already sold... Just look the store its a mess, bloated and just confuses you looking at it.. Its crazy ... I for one do not feel good about this game at all. I dont think its a "scam", I think it just has completely spirialed out of control. 3 ship sales in 3 weeks lol. Its just has all the signs of a failed project. It needs somebody that has a laser focus not this broad go 30% into a new whim and than bounce into the next thing... Like servers are still garbage lol. Then when I play it, its "cool" at best but by the time this game is done it will outdated.. You cant keep stapling more and more stuff on an already struggling game engine, its going to simply break at some point. I have been playing E.D. more lately just because its an actual game and feels good to just play. SC simply doesnt feel good and I dont think it will feel good anytime , like 5 years anytime soon. Thats scary. Its just going to be a bucket full of "meh" when and if it lands... It definitely needs new , more focused leadership...
I came to SC cause I hated EDs flight model....and now SC has the same shitty flight model This is definitely a scam, it might become a game someday but it doesn't change that everything you mentioned about ships for example point to the fact we are being strung along and bilked out of money...that's a scam Chris has been fired from every project because of misappropriation of funds...his CGI studio collected money for 5 years, produced nothing and used a tax and payout loophole to take the money. He then put a Patsy in place before the legal headache came around and the company shuttered the moment Germany closed the loophole. In conclusion, this is Chris and how he does things. Look at the new title...the massive studio they build with million dollar furnishings and state of the art motion capture studio that is legit not being used for this game at all....and it's all been done with our money.
I'd like to say, in terms of gameplay balancing, the multi-tool being nerfed into oblivion was always inevitable. Expected even. It's like needing a welder, so you get one on wish to save money. It's probably gonna work, maybe, but it won't hold a candle to the power of well constructed welders. The multi-tool is the most basic-of-the-basic tools. It should only be capable of doing the smallest of tasks. This new Atlas is a welcome addition to the game, people who enjoy cargo running (yes, people enjoy playing just to run cargo) will find it extremely useful. The scummy things to do, however, is add it to the game and lock it behind a paywall for no apparent reason, like the 'NURSA'. These are necessary pieces of equipment to have for use in their field. Yet you can't obtain them in-game yet. I would understand selling them before the dev cycle is complete, and continuing to sell them for irl cash as an easy way to obtain something you don't want to grind in-game for. But to remove it from the game completely to generate revenue on an item that everyone will need is the height of arrogance and greed. It seems to me that CIG is acting as if community sentiment will never shift, and it shows just how out of touch they truly are. It's going to be the marketing department, more than anything else, that drives players away from this game. Edit: i typed this out right before hearing you say the exact same thing. Well played, sir😂😂 Edit #2: I also want to say, the way you deliver your content is so refreshing. Most content creators are so focused on not stepping on any toes that they rarely manage to offer a genuine representation of how they feel. In my opinion, you fall firmly into the very small list of creators that is actually worth listening to. Don't ever change it up dude. Well done 👍🏻 Final edit: If they've been using backers money to develop ANYTHING other than what we've been paying you for, while simultaneously building a monetization model around the open communication with your community of your development process (which is basically actively lying to us about the amount of resources you've been dedicating to the project) then there will be no turning back. I can't even tell you how many beloved franchises I quit in recent years because of the absolute disgust of these predatory monetization models. I REALLY don't want Star Citizen to be the next one added to that list.
People don't sell their share just before it suddenly skyrockets in value because a project releases (SQ42). They sell if they think it's at peak value and want to get out before it nose dives. SC is going to collapse. My guess is that the most critical part of the game that has to work to make the game a success is failing and possibly professional outside advisors have looked at it and said, nope, not possible with today's tech. What would this critical element be? Server meshing. They likely always had it working on a small scale from day one, like they had shown recently. The small scale implementation is probably what inspired them to start the Kickstarter. But, when they launch it on a bigger scale, it fails due to the computing power needed. And, having so many elements physicalized is just overloading the system even more. He likely had seen things he can't warn us about due to NDA. But, if CIG collapses in the future, he'll be able to tell us about what was going on.
This game had enormous potentially but somewhere along the way there was a culture shift in cig , I suspect they realized they had a license to print money it was to much to resist that their backers\ player base wanted this game so bad they weren't critically looking at what their involved in, they became corrupt. I realized this in January of this year I stopped being a backer and stopped playing. I continue to check in from time but I believe this company has a contemptuous attitude towards their backers when they should be grateful, I will no longer support early release games because if we dont keep the carrot in front of the donkey the donkey doesn't have any incentive to do want we want.
Holy $hit. I just looked at player numbers. No wonder they are crapping their pants. They peaked at just under a half million last year. Its sitting just below 80k today. That has to be a kick in the balls.
I haven't played the game since 3.22 and based on what I see, I don't see myself playing again until maybe 4.0 or beyond. Its just not the game I initially bought
This will boil over into a class action. I've been harassed on spectrum by the mods/devs. They ban you and write all sorts of nasty dms. When you try to open past the preview, it doesn't exist. I'll watch it burn now.
Most of the people I know bought only the cheapest started pack and are having fun, they are playing with other friends for hundreds, maybe thousands of hours. None in CIG is forcing you to spend money on this. I consider more a "scam" a single player game of 20 hours of gameplay that many companies are selling for almost 70$, full of glitches, bugs and bad optimization. SC can give you hundreds of hours of entertainment. If I ended up to be so nasty is just because I'm taking this game like if is more important that many other things in real life. I can easily realize that the way im looking and living this game is the real problem. But as usual, it's more easy to complain about others then just look your self. I can see many errors in CIG decision and action, but honestly, at the end of the day, what really matters is the entertainment that this game can give me. If I don't have fun anymore I just find something else to enjoy.
technically, its all about the economy simulation and the immersion gameplay elements packed in a believable universe. well in the end it could be an x series game with cloud services with a friend invite system for urs own instance ...
greetings from ZG and you are right in all issues. fck that I was spend too much time just trying to play that (cant call it a game), and came back to Elite
I got banned for a week for calling a backer a kid. by applying the line, "Okay, kid, whatever you say, kid," because the backer was trying to attack my post when he himself does not PVP and the post was about PVP, and so everything he was trying to do was discredit my post as fake or false, but he himself does not even PVP, so his comments were irrelevant to the post. because there is an exploit in the design of the game. Yet I am pointing this out and get ban and post deleted. and the reason was calling a backer a kid classing it as "belittling" someone. (Edit) They didn't fix the exploit, its still in the game. all these years later and I stopped reporting bugs because of it.
no mans sky is a great game. but it's not really a multiplayer game. Dual Universe is amazing.. but low player numbers. I'm hoping jumpship will be good though! Although it's just a mp pve game
@@GrumpyEyeGaming No Man's Sky is a game that instilled in me a love for both space and survival games, but the problem is that it lacks interesting combat. I play mostly solo, even in SC, but multiplayer is quite important to me. I've played many games that I think are worth trying, like Empyrion galactic survival, or space Engineers, and I'm also going to check out this new project by Quang, which draws heavily from SC. But there was always something missing in these games. I think that what brought most players to the CIG project was the scale, scope, immersion, marvelous looking and detailed ships with interriors, and the multitude of activities that can be experienced in this half baked alpha. There's something here for hardcore grinders, pirates, competitive PVP'ers, as well as space Bobs, of which I am partly one. Apart from this scale and variety of mechanics, I was very sold by the interactivity of the world. That you can make a mini armory in your ship and hang weapons on the rack, that you can put a mug on the table (sort of), that you can remove weapons from a defeated ship and sell them or mount them on your own, etc.
You cooked with this one bro 🤟🏼keep the passion for the game and I look forward to playing/multi-crew with you in 4-5 years when star citizen is playable 💯🍿
You stated a few things that I had no idea about, such as Ortwin and Pappy leaving the company under dubious circumstances. Very interesting there. But, when it comes to money, or your job, nothing is beneath some people to do the wrong thing to keep that, and the power that comes with it. I completely share your views on fairness being applied across the board. I really don't understand the ethos of this company and the people that support such toxic behaivor. Their skins are so thin, they can't take even the most minor of criticisms. It is a sickness, a disease, even a cancer. The project will fail at some point in the not to distant future when people finally wise up and realize that the Kool-Aid doesn't taste that good anymore.
Sorry, but the eye tracker has too much latency for input in gaming! I would like IR tracker instead of tobii as an example for the head movement. Maybe they can be combined, so the toby isnt for head tracking but only for the target stuff?
I understand having varied opinions in a creator programme but its the companies decision and at their discretion. You may not like it but thats just how it is.
theres a whole lot of new fun games coming soon that cost 40 dollars that im going to play instead of buying the shatlas. Thats not how mafia works, you know this.
The buck stops with CR. Its not marketing running wild, its CRs scheme and CRs greed which has been evident from the start. At 3/4 Billion dollars (CR said each dollar gifted to CIG would be like $5.00 to a game with a publisher) they shouldnt be itching for cash. 3/4 billion dollars "pledged" to them. Im glad to see the community starring to stand up. But too little, too late and this monster has a life of its own. Its not going to end well. A game will be releaed though. And many generations of Roberts family prodigy will will be set.
I get more and more unproductive with my playing time with each passing update. Soon I'll be signing on, get to my hangar and then sign off. Everything is getting tedious; the game is full of unnecessary delays and time syncs. Where's the fun gameplay? Get to your hangar and wait 3 minutes while you switch ships ... need ammo, then spend 5 minutes getting to the shop, 5 minutes to get back to your hangar, 5 minutes to get into your ship, etc. It feels like I'm wasting 30 minutes just to get into a quest.
I love how us space needs are cool with 3000 jpegs but the straw that broke the camels back was a $35 tool...they need to refund those purchases, give it to everyone in game as a hangar tool and a purchase with auec and chris needs to make a "my bad" video or this could sink the ship
chat3pt got so mad he went on his CIG alt account and went back several weeks of posts to pick random shit, some comment i remember had over like 100 upvotes, half a dozen he applied random rules to them and handed out a ban. you can hope for the project not to fail all day long but it's a lie and the only ones it wont fail for is the guys running with the money.
Really guy? You are really showing how little you know about this game's development by making so many assumptions...I mean you're talking like this is a finished game...almost $200,000 in sales says people want it...I don't so I didn't buy it. It's not just another tool, it allows virtual invulnerability for one thing...
Unfortunately Chris doesn't listen to feedback, but also likes to have control over every element of the project as a well known control freak. So unfortunately, no matter how reasonable the feedback is, it is unlikely to go anywhere. Previous projects have had publishers intervene to eject Chris, but not possible under this construct. Thanks for the video though.😊
You are saying exactly what I have been saying for the last year. You can't have a shit game experience because new players will try the game, experience this shitty game experience and then never touch the game again. So you can't get new players they way the game is now. Then in desperation you start making really poor decisions (egregious monetization, pushing a CARGO UPDATE WHERE CARGO DOESN'T WORK, marketing all these new features via ISC like they are ready to be put in game and then they don't show up for years, having LIVE servers go to absolute shit every time a new round of testing starts, etc.) that betrays the trust the backers have in you, making the backers hesitant to continue funding you. At some point CIG won't be able to rely on the existing backers for funding if they keep on , and new players aren't going to put up with the "features". They need to do better or they are headed to a really bad place.
I reported something, there was a queue dedicated to streamers, we just had to do a manipulation to get into the game and I happend to find it by myself, while everyone had thousands of people in queue (I bet my hairs you remember this moment). That was hilarious nobody could play but all streamers was streaming SC on twitch, so I sniffed something, once I found I reported it on spectrum also on saltE's video who was claiming that I was crazy for pretending there was a content creator's queue without daring to say my name, my post got removed because I happend to say at some point "these people disgust me" when i asked why, I had to understand by myself what was 7b or I would have been baned too, like they can't ban you for actualy not being nice so they get unfair and then you complain and then they ban you, that admin abuse is old as MSN mesenger and maybe more. I think they kinda like me somehow but they have some very weird people in the community management.
Your points are extremely relevant to the current state of things, but If I may, easing up on the profanity within the official channels would help protect you a bit more from this sort of thing! A lot of us are unhappy with these things too but it will give them fewer points on which to attack you. I hope you keep reporting on this sort of thing, this could very well make history depending on how things go

Essentially sponsered content that doesn't pay the content creators, it costs CIG nothing to give a code for any ship.
that also means it cost backers nothing for the game to get advertised. none of your money is being spent on adds.

In my honest opinion, this (the ATLS) is something they could have at least given for free to long time backers as a "thank you" and released for sale in game immediately. Dude... have you seen the state of gaming? 8 years on Concord, it lasted 11 days. 11 years on Skull & Bones, it's trash. 7 years and over 400mil on Starfield and it's a 15yo game with a shit story... None of those game tried anything new nor pushed any boundaries... how are people still bitching for 12 years when we have all those exemples of games being shit after nearly 10 years in the oven despite being rehashed garbage from 10 years ago?
CIG has issues, but those ain't it chief.
@@SeaRaven227 people just want to bitch into the void lol

It's all feasible, because it's all real
If dcs developers had to design a plane from the ground up with no documentation and no reference point, it would also take them years to do and I'm talking about any of their teams, heat blur Eagle dynamics it doesn't matter, it would take years and speaking of it did take years for them. You can't have both, you never have been able to
And so long people don't understand this.
I came to SC cause I hated EDs flight model....and now SC has the same shitty flight model
This is definitely a scam, it might become a game someday but it doesn't change that everything you mentioned about ships for example point to the fact we are being strung along and bilked out of money...that's a scam
Chris has been fired from every project because of misappropriation of funds...his CGI studio collected money for 5 years, produced nothing and used a tax and payout loophole to take the money.
I've wondered if Soulsinger is an audio engine or something. Anyway, great video. Good luck with whatever you do.
Well played, sir😂😂
Edit #2: I also want to say, the way you deliver your content is so refreshing. Most content creators are so focused on not stepping on any toes that they rarely manage to offer a genuine representation of how they feel. In my opinion, you fall firmly into the very small list of creators that is actually worth listening to. Don't ever change it up dude. Well done 👍🏻
Final edit: If they've been using backers money to develop ANYTHING other than what we've been paying you for, while simultaneously building a monetization model around the open communication with your community of your development process (which is basically actively lying to us about the amount of resources you've been dedicating to the project) then there will be no turning back.
I remember spending days on the first rogue squadron.

Nope...
I stopped buying into alphas BECAUSE of Star Citizen too.

@@avatv4658 glad to hear that!
Im on a 10 year ban from Spectrum. Then they banned me on Reddit...I got flamed and yet I got banned
If I don't have fun anymore I just find something else to enjoy.

o7 Good work Citizen Fantastic Jimi Hendrix reference. (i have a 10 year spectrum ban, and night-rider personally fears me.)
The biggest problem here is lack of alternative for SC. No concurention on market is always bad for a project.
no mans sky is a great game. but it's not really a multiplayer game.
Yup, just too greedy now.
You cooked with this one bro 🤟🏼keep the passion for the game and I look forward to playing/multi-crew with you in 4-5 years when star citizen is playable 💯🍿
The ignorance in these comments is staggering...

Star citizen is one of the best scams in history.
And many generations of Roberts family prodigy will will be set.
you can use store credit... No New Warbond....
Not a "tool".
It's a $35 LTI token.
chat3pt got so mad he went on his CIG alt account and went back several weeks of posts to pick random shit, some comment i remember had over like 100 upvotes, half a dozen he applied random rules to them and handed out a ban.
you can hope for the project not to fail all day long but it's a lie and the only ones it wont fail for is the guys running with the money.
It’s gotta suck being a content creator for a game with no content
Love you brother
The truth is like bad saxophone music. Nobody wants to hear it.
Really guy? You are really showing how little you know about this game's development by making so many assumptions...I mean you're talking like this is a finished game...almost $200,000 in sales says people want it...I don't so I didn't buy it. It's not just another tool, it allows virtual invulnerability for one thing...
J3pt is that you?

First of, great vid. Been subbed to your channel since waay back when I still had an account for SC.
Not all, but many members of the SC community are toxic fucks. I’ve experienced it first-hand myself. So the fact that you are standing up for what you believe in all these years (especially in regards to SC) despite getting shit delivered to you by the truckloads, is so impressive that I don’t know how to express it in a proper way - IT IS REALLY FUCKING IMPRESSIVE! Marketing is, and will keep killing the game, we all know about the high costs of developing a game with this extension, but they are doing marketing campaigns lacking a quality product to justify that, and yes, game mechanics and having fun is part of your product, that must be your main selling point.
