Honestly, I hope multiple lawsuits get traction and force CIG to actually do something. Either stop the anti-consumer practices that marketing is doing like the blatant bait and switch they pulled with the Redeemer, release the ships that people paid for a decade (or longer!) ago and still haven't been able to play in-game, or completely refund people their money and apologize for their complete failure to uphold their end of the deal.

When you hit one large shild it has one large health pool so it dosent matter from which side you hit it it will not recharge. Whit 6 small ones you need to hit the same one ore it will recharge so i can just role the ship when one shild is down. People that are angry about the shild just dont know the game mechanics. The weapons is pure balance and they where oversized. Also when you want the original design then the redeemer would be a drop ship. Main problem with the redeemer was that it was a community design that lead to many problems and reworks to make it fit into SC. Also it dosent make sense for most of the bigger schips to be in the game right know. There is zero gameplay for the endavor and the bigger Hull series also makes not much sense because there is no trade with that much cargo. As much as i love the kraken it also has no real need in the game. Yes there is valid critic with ships like "they shouldmt make concapt ships that make no sense to have in the game in the next 2-3 years" But you get loaner ships and most ships that are mussing are variations not completly new ships.
A legal case, preferably in the EU since there are bigger chances for consumers would be the best thing to happen. Why aren’t there any lawyers in the community that are willing to try it. I’m so sure lots of disappointed backers, like me, are willing to throw in some money again, but this time to pay the person who is going to defend their rights in the court of law. I’m not emotionally attached to money. I burned $9000 on fireworks last year. This game is funded by less that 10,000 people. The rest are peanuts. That why numbers of players gets halved every year but funding goes up or stays the same.
I don't know how anyone gives CIG a single cent more money at this stage. I'm still going back and forth with them for a refund because after being a backer for ten years I am done and the game is a complete joke.
@GrumpyEyeGaming back in 2014 ish they specified we would need to buy ships and the things we would be able to manufacture would be very limited. Ie not whole guns or ships, because that would need huge manufactures and deals with companies. But we could procude certain smaller items. Mind you crafting was explained back then as NOT your standard mmo with blueprints, just that you needed to build facilities like in the real world. Back then rhe 10 to 1 npc/player ratio was still the idea and npcs and companies would shape the general economy rather than only players, as they are pushing forward, or well maybe they just renamed the whole economy system once more
But in general i see sc going more towards the fast pace shooter but with a huge time sink to revival, which makes 0 sense if you ask me... a twitch shooter should be for fast paced low stakes lives. But here how they have explained death of a spaceman death is something major that brings consequences.... but we move to more and more fast pace shooter mechanics instead of more arma/squad or middle ground solutions...

The NPC driven economy and simulation was supposed to determine the rarity/scarcity of ships and items and the manufacturers would be the entities controlling what and how much of complex items are made. The game and its economy is going to be massively different going forward than how they explained it would work for the last decade+, it's now going to be more looter shooter survival and crafting with way less sim and DoaSM. CIG is just chasing the next niche group to pull money out of.

Most people forget that Star Citizen was not the primary focus in development instead it was Squadron 42. server meshing was the main reason SC was hold back so much and then that they had the main Focus on SQ 42. make me the boss of CIG and i will deliver this game within 1 year at absolute max. it takes 2-3 months of worktime to make a ship as big as the Arrastra fully flight ready. when implemented ingame add another 1 month and it has the gold standard ( i got the information first hand ). Base building is something that i understand needs a bit more time but max 8 months, every day more is just lazy work. I understand that server meshing is something big and needed quite a bit of ressources to create BUT they have nearly 800milion dollares to make a game. Elite Dangerous had only 10% of that and you can visit the whole galaxy, now just magine what elite dangerous would be if they had a budget of 160milion instead of 80milion.
From $4400.00 office chairs to lay offs in 24 mos. They dont look like they are getting control of their assets and workflow but instead are just flailing around hoping for a desirable result. I have always loved the vision but execution has left me wanting. I have been on vacation for two weeks and decided to rebind my sticks and see just whats changed. The answer is not much. I hit three game breaking bugs in two hours of gameplay. A freeze up during quantum. A space spawn outside the station and not able to reload firearms, which is a new one for me. And the time sinks are just unbearable now. Just getting equipment and a shipped pulled is a beating. Its one of the few games where I will listen to an audio book while I play. Says alot. And still not a fan of the flight model though I heard thats its become a priority after the recoil they got from MM in the first place. I really wanted base building too. That one still stings. After about a year off and coming back is a solid meh. I havent played again after that one session. On a side note Stalker 2 has been getting most of my screen time lately. That game is tits.

xD Ok ok I have to comment a 2nd. time, but the gargling earlier (2:52) is comedy gold...and the repeated "ka-ching" SFX, especially during the med-bed section (5:30) as a subtle nod to what CIG seems to ONLY care about these days, was a great choice. I like the comedic effect of that "Bruh" when Jared tried to basically retcon the medbed situation (5:23), immediately followed by a clip that disproves that very statement that it allegedly always was the plan. Makes one think that CIG are trying to lie to their older backers and silently retcon past statements, hoping that noone remembers and that their faithful defenders (*cough J3PT) will drown out critical voices.

Just under 3k into the game, been at it since 2013 so not to bad. But one thing I would advise new players. Do not buy concept ships ever, do not buy brand new flyable ships, they always come out swinging and get nerfed to oblivion. Wait for new ships initial nerfs and wait for content creators to give post nerf reviews and then make your decision to buy with real money.

They took away the Med Bed respawn because they needed to sell a Carrack with respawn. Then they made a NURSA and things changed.

Just under 3k into the game, been at it since 2013 so not to bad. But one thing I would advise new players. Do not buy concept ships ever, do not buy brand new flyable ships, they always come out swinging and get nerfed to oblivion. Wait for new ships initial nerfs and wait for content creators to give post nerf reviews and then make your decision to buy with real money.
