Alot of the third row suv's are centered around smaller children. I would love to see one that accommodates parents with growing teens because it's hard to find a vehicle that fits a family with 2 or more growing teenagers over 5'7

First of all great job! I have seen a lot of reviews and you answered my main question. Does a stroller fit better with the extra storage bin up. And yes it does!! With the third row up there is good room.
I am a current owner of a 2015. I just can’t make the move to upgrade yet. I would like to stick with Nissan. But they don’t have an amazing family option. With no van option, the least they can do is to design the pathfinder to offer similar features. The armada in my mind is an suv for an older family. The pathfinder should be for the younger family. That way there will be an upgrade as the family grows.
Features I like to see (it may have but have not been able to find info on).
    1. Rear car seat camera.
2.drop down mirror to see ppl in the back.
    3. Digital mirror to see the road when ppl or the tried tow headrests are obstructing view.
    4. Speaker system. In my 2015 ppl in the third row can not hear the driver or passenger.
    5. Remote car stat on the phone. The built in one does not work close enough. I live in Northern Canada were we need to plug in our car. At work I have to start it at least once on a 12 hr night. Would be nice not to leave to start it.
    6. I like the purse holder, but for a mom that’s a tiny bag. It is usually a diaper bag. The gmc feature of being able to push back the center counsel for a large bag is perfect.
    8. Rear electronic screens. We use mine all the time. Trying to fix iPad and drive is impossible. Plus cords not fitting and headphones. My daughter uses it and loves it! She quiet. But I can still listen to my own stuff. And I have the control. Needs to be an option still. Just upgrade the apps. Ie. Fire stick. Also, looking down at an iPad can cause motion sickness. So looking up is a lot better.
    7. I hope the passenger seat is still powered. And would be nice if there was a button to move the seat forward when loading kids in the car. The button would be bushed from the second row behind the driver/passenger seat.
    8. To be really dance a vacuum or cooler in the the middle counsel would be nice.
That would be to much to ask though.
    9. Kick to open lift gate. And kick to close.
    10. A self that can be added to make extra space in the back. After a stroller is in it’s hard to pile much. Or with groceries, you could put cold things in the bottom compartment. Then your stroller. Then with a shelf on top the rest of your things. There is one car maker that does it, just don’t remember which one.
    11. 90 degree door open feature. This one gets me. The armada had it but no car seat friendly tilt. The Nissan should have both. Don’t they go together. Car seats and these functions.
All in all, I hope that they can at least improve the safety features. (Speaker and camera view). And ADD the screens back! Then I will re-purchase!

Great review as usual 👏👏! I bought a SL premium as we call them in 🇨🇦! Love it. We have twins who are 15 months old. We have Graco slim fit 3 in one car seats and with 2 of them in in second row, there is ample space for an adult( second row is bench). Tried palisade and Telluride both, they are a bit luxurious inside but pathfinder exterior looks terrific. Would have picked telluride but it’s wait time is 14 months . I also found palisade steering is light compared to pathfinder . Over all very happy with the purchase.

We have 14 month old twins in Graco 4ever rear facing. When we were buying we felt the VW Atlas gave us the most space and fit our double stroller with third row up (compared palisade, telluride, highlander, pilot, explorer). If this pathfinder was available it would have been a close contender!

With my 27 pound daughter buckled into her car seat,my other daughter has hit the button on the back of the seat and little sister is launched forward into the back of the driver seat while I was driving on several occasions. I took my vehicle to McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville,AR today. They were able to replicate the scenario in my vehicle and a brand new Pathfinder on their lot. They called Nissan. Nissan says there is no problem. This is not ok. Buyer beware. I also commented on the other Pathfinder review 3 weeks ago.

7 seater Outlander is cramped for 3 kids. I had a 2020 and traded to 8 seater Pathfinder. Trunk is either a trunk or the 3 row seats. Couldnt even fit a small luggage when the 3rd row is up. When I bought the 2020 Outlander, the 2022 just came in the lot and the space was the same as the 2020. It also has a hidden trunk which is shallow and it is for the head rest of the 3rd row.
Edit: bought the 2020 Outland in the year of 2021

Other reviews say Pathfinder drives like a truck and suspension horrible, feeling every bump on the road. This would not make for a comfortable family car , especially for road trips. The same is said for Infinity sister. It’s basically a Pathfinder wrapped in more luxe materials.
If I’m going to drop hard earned $ to upgrade , the drive should be noticeably improved for comfort. But sadly Infinity does not. So my search continues because I am not looking for a “truck” with SUV cosmetics

If anyone is interested in this vehicle, before buying sit in the passenger seat( way too low and no fix) , check the heater while on feet only(many issues with no heat), and test the back up camera quality( horrible quality on the lower trims). Things that you normally wouldn't look for during the test drive, but I wish I had! Also, the gas mileage is horrible, it shifts rough in the lower gears, and it is a very rough ride, feels like a truck.

Yes on captain seats for my teen and college boys. Yes on the ceiling vents and usb for second row. 3rd row access is adequate for rare-occasion teen passengers. It’s beautiful. I would get premium pkg. Hubby needs upgraded sound system. I need captain seats.

I think the space between the seats in the third row isn't to fit a third person it's to give kids enough space to not touch each other and start a fight! But, seriously, when the vast majority of three row SUV's are traded in the third row looks like the day it came off the showroom floor as it almost never gets used and people really buy them for the extra cargo space withe the seats folded down. If you need more space than this it's time to buy a full size or a van.

If you have kids that are under 15 why in the world would you get leather seats? Car seats are going to mar the leather. Kids are gross and will wreck the leather.
The Nissan microfiber seats are plush and above all easy to clean.
