Arriving At Green Acres Touring Park - Tranquil Parks Adults Only Site
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 сер 2024
- We travel from Argyll Caravan Park at Inveraray to Green Acres Touring Park near Carlisle. A Tranquil Parks, exclusively for adults campsite. We really liked this campsite, which would be great for exploring the borders and Hardrian's Wall area.

Fantastic site! 👏 I love your videos. Thank you. ❤ What an awesome Scotland Tour. Thank you both for your hard work in producing it.
I can’t wait for your Euro Tour- so excited!
Hello Poppy, too! 🐾🐾❤️
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary 🥂
Many thanks!
Thanks for the tour of Scotland. It’s so lovely up there . Not bad little shop on the site .
Green Acres looks a nice site, we didn’t know that was there and really useful to show the arriving at. We often visit the Carlisle area as Rachel’s dad lives to the west of it.
Thank you I’m sure it will come in handy in the future.
Pleased you’ve enjoyed your trip.
Have a great week, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍
We stayed at Greenacres for a week in August, it is the best site we have stayed on. The facilities are the best we have seen very well kept. We will be going back sometime.
No wonder they have won lots of awards.
Well deserved awards too..
We have been twice and we absolutely love it there. The shop wasnt there when we went last time but saw it on facebook. They are a lovely couple who own it and take pride in their site. I knew you would like it there. Enjoyed all your videos
Thanks Bob, Jenny & Poppy really enjoyed watching your video's of this tour looking forward to the next one. 👍🤓🐕🐕
Glad you enjoyed it
The prices at the shop were respectable. I can’t argue with that!
Thanks for taking us with you on your tour. It’s been great seeing so much of Scotland and North of England and what the campsites offer and the cost of life on the road.
Keep up the great work. ❤
Thank you
I have really enjoyed watching your Scottish tour, and it has made me want to go back again soon. Looking forward to your next tour.
Wow what a lovely site - facilities look amazing - one to add to my ever increasing list to visit I think
Very good enjoyed your holiday. I have a Chow dog and he sometimes get me up at 3am I think it’s just one of those things. It’s ok at home more trouble in caravan.
Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed your Scottish tour, thanks for having us along!
Another great example of why i would luv a motorhome great videos keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
We stayed there last year it was fantastic .Showers were best ever .No shop at that time we had no milk when we arrived and shop too far away so fab for next time .
Thank you so much for this excellent video. We're so glad you enjoyed your time at Green Acres. Good luck with your next adventure! 😍😄
Thanks so much!
What a lovely site, one for the list….. thoroughly enjoyed watching your tour of Scotland. You have inspired us to head North at some point. Looking forward to your Europe adventure with Poshcats.
Your tour has been brilliant, enjoyed every video, thankyou for taking us along.
Hi bob, jenny & poppy, thank you for sharing your tour of Scotland & the orkney isles, fantastic places & views. Hope you got home safely & look forward to your euro tour. Linda xx ❤
Really enjoyed watching your tour
Looking forward for your next adventure cheers 🇮🇲
We have absolutely loved watching your tour of Scotland, it was so lovely to see another of our favourite sites Green Acres, the facilities are amazing, Mike, Josie and their families are absolutely wonderful, it brings back happy memories.
Congratulations on your anniversary x
Our pleasure!
The site was very clean all the facilities and the green areas well maintained..
Thanks enjoyed the video.
We live in Carlisle and never knew this site was here. Looks perfect 😀
Arrochar,,my neck of the woods,, we there in 2 week, you even past where we staying,, Loch Side Guest House,, awesome place,, we go every year...
Your tour was amazing we have enjoyed coming with you and giving us some great ideas ❤
We store our motorhome at this site as we live in Carlisle and totally agree on all the comments, regarding the quality of the site and could not fault and aspect. It is a must stop over for anyone going to or from Scotland.
Have loved watching your latest tour and the sites you’ve stayed at…definitely given us some new ideas for our second Scotland trip. Thanks for sharing 😊
Hi Bob & Jenny. Loved the Vlog as usual. It was nice to see the arriving at as we are starting our Scottish tour on Tuesday at
Green acres caravan Park. Thanks for the info 😁👍
Once again a professional video. Wish you well in your future travels.
Thank you very much.
Really like the look of that site. We are never disappointed with Tranquil Parks. It has everything we like and plenty to do in the area too. Looking forward to seeing you both later in the month. Take care 🙂👍🏻 Trev n Sue xx
We agree!
What great site. Thanks for a lovely Scottish tour, I’ve really enjoyed it.
We stayed at Green Acres in early June, the chap who owns the site was working every daylight hour to keep the site looking so good. The toilet block must be up with the best in the country, even some other Tranquil Parks sites are well below the standard of Green Acres. Having just done a Month tour of Scotland it has been very interesting watching your trip. Keep up the great vlogs they knock spots off many we watch.
That's very nice of you to say, thank you very much.
Nice vid Bob. Enjoy new kitchen jen. Hope poppy is well
Very well thanks
Interesting and relaxing video to watch.Thank you.
They are planning a tunnel on rest and be thankful road similar to alps etc, to prevent the rock falls
That would be a shame to miss that scenery.
Thank you Jenny and bob for all the great videos, and a very happy birthday to poppy, would be nice to do a video of poppy’s best bits , only when you have the time
Nice idea.
We have stayed at Green Acres on many occasions, when travelling to and from Scotland and to tour around the local area (good for Hadrian's Wall and North Lake District). Always received a warm welcome from Mike & Josie. Site is amazing, as you found, and the Sunday Roast supplied by Skitby is a must!
Sounds great, but we are vegetarian, so our Sunday roast is normally of the Quorn variety! 😊
Lovely having been with you on this trip to Scotland, and looking forward to your next adventure soon to start.... safe travels....
Thanks so much for watching!
Looked a great site. I’ve really enjoyed this tour and have noted places I’ve not heard of for us to go in the future. Take care Gill
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vids by the way. 👍
Glad you enjoyed
Loooks a great site love the sports hall - we have just spent a week at York Rowntree and would put this near the top of our best ever sites - Quiet and walkable to the city - a Deli, Butcher and baker just 500m away and the added bonus of the "Slip In" pub serving Timmy Taylor beer and live football just round the corner
been there recently great site
Crikey the wash area is something pretty swanky! I wonder how many sites have badminton courts!?
Not many I imagine.
Thank you both & Poppy for putting out some great videos on what was a memorable tour with Orkney as the star. Is Shetland on your list for a future tour?
I'd like to think so, but we'll see.
Great tour! 🏴 Beautiful scenery, lots of history and places of interest, Orkney islands were great to see too. 🚢 Very nice last site. 🏕 Hope you get the warning alarm fixed on Motorhome. Here’s to your next Adventure soon. 🤩 .. we love following your exploits.
Thank you, good to hear
Please can you let us know how you get on about your airbag monitor. 👍
@jillholly6445 video about it out tonight at 6 o’clock
I actually don't mind the sound of the gravel crunching ,it kind of makes you feel there I guess , best wishes 👍🚐👍
Liked the look of this site and have booked a stay end September. Thank you for your videos ❤
Hope you enjoy it!
Great video. Enjoyed watching it. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Green acres was a really lovely site . Would love to know how much mileage you do in a year 😊xx
We are coming up to 24 thousands miles. Bought than motorhome in Dec 2019. Bear in mind, all those months going nowhere in lockdowns.
This is our old stomping ground, we had a season pitch here ☺️ changed a bit for the better 😎 Like you say, you do need a car to go and explore really 😁 Nice to see it cone to life & doing well 😁 Thanks, Em 💜
Been a great tour, Happy Anniversary
Thank you!
Outstanding trip Bob & Jenny, most enjoyable to watch your various perambulations! Thanks for bringing us along!
You're welcome
Brilliant tour Bob and Jenny, and a brilliant site to end on. It looked a really quiet site with fabulous amenities. Cannot fault you for wanting to go back there. Enjoy your time ;))
Absolutely loved this tour, all our favourite places to visit. The icing on the cake is that the final site is only about 5 miles away from home for us and we never knew it existed. It is a site that also offers storage which interests us as our drive down to the house is too steep for the van. So thanks to you I am contacting them to see if they have spaces available for storage. Many thanks for making us aware of this site’s existence. 👍
Thank you, it sounds ideal. Hope they have a spot for you.
Hi Bob and Jenny I’m made up to see this site as it’s now going to be my stop off point when I travel up to Scotland and back home again. Hope you have eventuality got your airbag warning sorted ready for your trip over to Europe.
Video tomorrow night about the air bag module.
Have followed you on the whole tour and really enjoyed seeing places we have visited in the past and getting some new ideas, your last site looked fantastic and sets a high bar for others to reach. Thought it interesting that you both feel a little sad when returning to England, we are based in Eastern Scotland and and always high five each another when crossing the border from the south. 😂 Looking forward to the European trip coming up sometime soon. Take care and keep up the great work.
Yes, we love Scotland, always sad to leave.
Hi Bob,
Have you any info on your cycle cover/net, please.
I bought the cover years ago, so no info on that, but the Cargo net: amzn.to/45z7CPr
Hi Bob and Jenny, just noticed there is a new Caravan and Motorhome Club CL opened up just down the road from us. It's in New Earswick nr York. Situated just off the northern bypass A1237. A bus stop into town outside the gate, with a very frequent service. Might be of interest to you if you are ever this way. Love your vlogs by the way.
Yes, we must do Yorkshire again, one to look out for, thanks.
We have the Garmin camper which I think the Tourer 2 is based on and it's a great sat nav overall, but the search is a struggle sometimes!
I'm sure I saw you had an anniversary meal🥂...apologies if I've got it completely wrong. What an absolutely beautiful site. I was surprised it wasn't a lot more per night. Poor poppy with her sensitive tummy....and poor you with it being at 4am🙈 thoroughly enjoyed your Scottish travels, thankyou so much for taking us along. Looks like you're having a new kitchen, jenny😂 really hope you take us along on your European travels. Take care ❤
Yes we had an anniversary meal at the end of the video. No, we're not having a new kitchen, although that did good nice.
As you drive along and hit bumps there is a particular rattle noise. What is that and can you pad it? I love to sit in the front seat with you and drive along watching the scenery and roads go by. Thank you.
I think it's mainly from the fridge.
Hell of a drive from inverarey to Carlisle Bob his long did it take ,just the one Stop? , Looked a nice idyllic place to spend a few Days
Yes just the stop at Westmorland Services.
A few years to late to the 🎉 again Bob.
?
What do they determine what an adult is.
18 and over?
I totally don’t get why anyone would want to stick up a flag pole. Bizarre junk to drag around with you. 😂
If it makes people happy why not?
@BobEarnshawMoHo i get that. Just not for me. We recently watched a couple set up their caravan pitch. It took them 6 hours to put the awning up, then basically recreate a detached house living room. The sheer quantity of stuff they had to set up was staggering. The final thing was the flag pole.
I’ve really enjoyed this tour and looking forward to seeing many more . Thank you Jenny , Bob & poppy
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
