Hi Andrew & Karen, Your January video 👍 inspired us to book for April, we’d forgotten just how lovely the site is. Thank you for watching and all the best, Rob & Gail
My home town, if you look at the other side of lady Wilton bridge you will see where having passed my driving test in 1990 I drove my dads cortina straight into the bridge 🫣 even back then the York stone to repair was many £1000s of pounds 😳 Egerton is pronounced edgerton. Where boxes is used to be the Ford main dealers for many many years “Sharmens Ford” I once worked in the Italian restaurant on the corner of park road you went down to view the church it was called Cervinos! Nice site, great review 👍
Hi Darren, Great to hear your story 👍. When back in the area we will be sure to take note of the costly bridge repair 😂. It must be nice to see someone else’s take on your own home town. We had a really good time there. The site was lovely, especially our pitch. Glad you enjoyed our video and thanks for the pronunciation. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Dave & Helen, Yes it was such a relief to get the car back even though it cost an arm and a leg! Brilliant site, you won’t be disappointed. Bella will love it there too. Best regards Rob & Gail
Great vlog eye kettleby is our favourite site we love it there hope you a great stay my mother in law is there for easter. Wished we was but had other commitments but will be there for queens jubilee bank holiday
Hi Mark, Great site, great holiday, despite the chilly winds and showers. Hope the mother in law gets some Easter sunshine. Should be glorious for you in June, fingers crossed 🤞 Thank you for watching and best regards Rob & Gail
Good to see you and the motor back on the road . I was only wondering the other day if you’d got the Air Suspension sorted out . Won’t mention that famous Yorkshire mantra ( OW MUCH???….) Eye K is a good site - we went few years ago but on negative side found it dark walking to reception/ club house at night for entertainment etc. Also found the way in to reception on arrival a bit of a faff and not easy . Think you were away at same time we went to Lytham and got the high winds However … great vlog, well produced and delivered , really enjoyed it Many thanks Rob H 👍🏻
Hello Howard, Waited three weeks for the car as the part was on back order. Had to have a new air compressor, very expensive from Audi but the labour was very reasonable. Lovely site but we didn’t venture out in the evening. Did notice the illuminated bollards but doubt they give off much light. I suppose with the clubhouse being a walk away it keeps the touring area very peaceful. Hope you had a good time at Lytham and pleased you enjoyed our video 👍 All the best Rob & Gail
Nice one Rob just about the best site review I've seen , not been yet but it's a big favorite with the swift Elegance brigade apparently the club house fish and chips are great 👍
Hi Rob. Brilliant vlog. We are there next Saturday for a week. Our caravan mechanic lives near there and he is their go to call out man. He can't recommend the place enough. Wish I could read those o/s maps like you, you make it seem so easy😠. Keep your great vlogs coming mucker and stay safe. Pete and Su.
Thanks very much Peter. Hope you are now familiarised with the site and can agree with your mechanics view of the holiday park. Fingers crossed for some good weather for you, the lakes will look lovely with some sunshine on them. Yeah I’m not too bad at map reading, but I did get lost once because the path disappeared so we ended up scrambling through the undergrowth and Gail slipped and broke her wrist ! All the best from us both.
We generally go away for five nights. Never felt the need for an awning or canopy as we are happy spending time in the caravan. Thanks for tuning in. All the best, Rob
Well I don’t know! Here we are, Susan and I, trying to sell our caravan, and still watching vlogs, particularly yours! So what happens then? Well, we just watched your Eye Kettleby one, another cracking vid I may add, but that’s not why you called! So we are both sat sitting, watching, and we were so impressed, not just the vid, but the site. It looks cracking. So I’m on their web site, and how right you are, it’s a brilliant web site! We said to ourselves, seeing as how we are the only ones sat here, we said, ooo, that looks a nice spot! Seems to be a good central location with some good attractions for us. (NT, Preserved Railways etc.) See what you two have gone and done? Here we are, advertising the caravan and all the stuff we bought for it, and now talking about keeping it and booking Eye Kettleby !!!! Small point. The Celebrated Pork Pie Establishment in Skipton have THE best pork pies in the whole of Christendom and beyond! Keep doing the vids! We will keep watching, caravan or not! Thanks!
Thank you both kindly. We greatly appreciate your compliments and we are pleased our video may have sparked an interest with you. We do hope you give it another go and it might be the make or break decision making trip for you both. We will watch your space ! Thank you so much for your support and when our travels take us to Skipton I will definitely be sampling the ‘best’ pork pie on your recommendation. Sincere Regards, Rob & Gail
Hi Rob and Gail.Thinking of going here in the next couple of weeks and not sure whether to choose the North or South sections. Was there much difference and were you able to choose your pitch when you booked or is it allocated for you ? Your vlog from 2 years ago has made us want to visit !
Hi Pat, We’re pleased our video has inspired you to want to book Eye Kettleby. It’s a top site with top facilities. To book you need to look on their website where you will find a plan of the sites two areas. Once you’ve filled the boxes which includes your chosen dates and pitch type, click ‘select & continue’. It will then display all the available pitches for you to select from. It’s a great method for booking as you get to choose your own pitch in advance. Personally we preferred the Northern site, seems a bit more sheltered. Nothing wrong with the Southern site, it’s newer but is a little more open to the elements. Hope you have a great time and enjoy it as much as we did 👍. Best wishes, Rob & Gail 😀
Great vlog - the site looks really nice, I must try it at some point. It looks like it’s reasonable value for money for what you get and the standard of the site? All the best, David, Rachel & Roxy 🐾
Thank you very much. Yes it’s a site not to be missed, we really enjoyed staying on our pitch and exploring the site. Melton Mowbray is worth a visit too. Best regards, Rob & Gail
Sorry I don’t know Javid. We didn’t use use any of their facilities, entertainment, restaurant etc. You could call them on 01664 565900. Hope this helps, Rob
Hi Matthew, Agree we seem to stick within a certain radius but we have been to Broadway in the Cotswolds with the caravan. We have stayed at other sites but this was pre UA-cam channel. We will spread our wings further in time. Thanks very much for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 👍😀
Hi there ScotchEgg, You are correct ✅ in thinking we don’t have an awning. To be honest we enjoy putting our feet up and relaxing in the caravan. We enjoy dining in the front window and simply don’t feel the need to spread out. It makes for a simple set up and pack up too. Thanks for the watch. and comment 👍 all the best to you, Rob & Gail
Love your films. Definitely visiting this site. ❤️
Great news A C and we’re sure you’ll love it here. Cheers for watching, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob, great tour of the site, we visited for the first time back in January such a lovely place, we will return in the future 👍
