Thank you for another great video. We visited the site and Inveraray last summer because my husband’s father was stationed there during WW2, there’s a memorial by reception. Looking forward to your euro trip. S
Great excuse for a weekend in Inveraray, 2 hours from our place but a nice run out and great restaurants in Inveraray and can stop to buy hot smoked salmon at the oyster bar
Had a static van on Shore site from early 70's to early 90's so close to water we were eventually flooded in a fierce winter storm. Put down a mooring and moored our yacht there for free as well. It was all very relaxed and very friendly and many a good night was had in the little bar. Lots of happy memories.
I must admit we take that route via Inveraray to avoid the route around Loch Lomond which can get a little buttock clenching at times. You should check out the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. They have a fantastic range of fish especially the smoked mussels.
Hi Bob and Jenny and Poppy, we've been to Inveraray a few years ago brought back a few memories and visited the jail. Good fun x. Looked a nice quiet site. shame it rained whilst you were filling up with water. The facilities looked good, there was a nice view over Loch Fyne. Wow quite a walk to the bins, would keep you fit. Looking forward to your next video x
This was most definitely a well spaced out site Bob, it was nice seeing the drive into Inveraray again bringing back more memories, looking forward to your next one Bob & Jenny.
Hi Bob, maybe when you show the toilet/shower area perhaps try and go in the assisted toilet/shower to show how much or little there is for a disabled person to use, that would mean a lot to some folks, I know a lot so I’ll prob be locked and would need the RADAR key system but maybe if it’s open, just a thought Thanks
It was used by the allied forces to train for the d day landings, quite a few of the original buildings are still standing and have been utilised for use at the park.
Currently planning a Scottish West coast for early 2024 and was looking at a stop in Inveraray. For this site, other than the obvious benefit it's proximity to Loch Fyne I don't think I have seen a more run down and scruffy Touring Park (also seems to be the opinion of a number of reviews on TripAdvisor) - one to avoid me thinks! Thanks, as always for your perspective, very helpful.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo it was when I was a lad 20 years ago. Anytime we were playing shinty 🏑 around the area and passed through we would always stop at the chippy. It's quite a famous wee shop in this neck of the woods 👍🏻🏴
We were at the site a couple of weeks ago, on pitch 11 too, nice location, decent facilities but we were disappointed that the was no CDP rinse facility at the MoHo service point just two fresh water hoses, not very hygienic N&A #benivanadventures 🚐
There were two hoses, (12:00) one I used for fresh water, the other next to the CDP. That said, I'm not keen on having fixed hoses, someone will no doubt use the wrong one...

We didn't know about the site's links to WW2.

Beauty in the Mundane was lovely and perfect for your bike ride.

Another interesting stay. Facilities were a little random and we chuckled about you going on a hike with the dry waste 🤣 Safe travels 🚐💙 Trev n Sue

Enjoyed this and the video of Inveraray. We live close by on the Cowal peninsula.
A lovely quiet site. Thanks for showing us round ❤
Our pleasure!
Solbio amazing ,,,lovely journey

Lovely site and area but i am guessing it would be hard to police like you said maybe someone just turned up for the night.

A little more difficult to do that as I would have to ask for that key. I have looked when the site managers have been available.
Great video again, Bob. I camped on that site 40 odd years ago. It was that long ago I had a mk1 Escort. 😮
Thanks, there is a sign saying it's been there 75 years.

It used to be called the battlefield camp site 50 odd years ago.
Thanks, didn't know that.
We are staying on that row at the end of September. Some nice tips for us😊Hope the Adria has moved!😂Thanks for sharing another great Scottish trip.
Have fun!

Closed when we walked past. Was it good?

OK, thanks, sorry we missed that then.
Thanks for the info 😁
I’ve been to Inveraray with lochs & Glens 😂
I have stayed there it is a bit odd

@@BobEarnshawMoHo that’s true, especially when they are both coloured blue for fresh water
