- Took another turn at my favorite piano! I was nervous to play and forgot to have it recorded horizontally.. So sorry for the awkward square video. Haha.

Honestly the mistakes DON'T detract from the piece it actually shows that the piece despite being "cheerful and laid back" is quite sophisticated...I think Joplin would aprove...
Thomas Dority. Approve, spelt with two P's.
Lets see you do better
@@jamstersmith4625 That is of course a classic though frankly a quite idiotic response. "Always change the argument if you are proved wrong ". It is called the 'Bateman Defence' by many but of course it is as daft as saying 'But the Sky is blue' no matter that the original point was (as here) that 'The mistakes don't matter'.
The woman’s outstanding. I’ve been playing this since 1971. Honestly who the hell are you to say anything about mistakes 👱♀️ Yours bub was coming on here
@@irasaposnik6511 1. She SAYS she made mistakes
2. I only said the "mistakes" DO NOT detract on the piece and that Joplin would approve
Kristen is a vivid evidence that we have beautiful geniuses in this World. God Bless Her!
Peacherine Rag is one of my favorites! Love the two dancing in the background, but that guy just standing there cracks me up.
Hehe he obv was there for all the wrong reasons.. Actually there was 3 of these guys.. But well, Kristen is a very beautiful girl, so of course she calls for a lot of attention. It is human nature, and there is nothing wrong with that, as long as it stays that innocent. ;)
Wearing white ankle socks must be in fashion-how that guy can stand so still defies the laws of syncopated music. Love this girls style and wonderful that Scott Joplin’s music will live on.
Listening in quarantine 2020. Makes me happy to hear you play!
I am so thrilled to hear you play no matter the time or the place or the finger slips off one key onto another! Your ability to make Music is simply wonderful! Bravo, Kristen!
Our eyes turn to the keyboard, our ears listen every second trying to decipher each note.
All in perfect time.
Mosca's smile for satisfaction and happiness is contagious.
Thanks once again!
….. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
You are fantastic, Ms. Mosca. I wish you the best in this life for all you give to us!
I thought I was a Joplin enthusiast decades before you were born, but I'd never heard the "Peacherine" before you performed it. I'm guessing yours will always be my favorite version :)
I think I'm in love.
Ooooooo i think we have a not so secret admire
Oh yes....and the piano playing isn't too bad, I guess...😉
So is every 12 year old boy learning piano. 😂
@@hilariodaragona4473 *too
One of my favorites. Great job. This is the first rag I learned. Fun to play.
love Disneyland piano player's...& u Kristen..were a delight for my ears &..eye's!
Playing just fantastic - and highly entertaining as always! However, can I say a thank you to the camera-person who also did a brilliant job. It's so good - it isn't noticed by anyone who doesn't do it professionally (and that's how it should be). Well done.
I was expecting to see your dog jump onto your lap in the middle of this 😀
Every time I watch this, it gets more entertaining! Just brilliant!
I'm so glad I watched this. Made me happy.
Beautiful!
It's giving the nation a new syncopation, the people call it Ragtime! 🎼
+connie rahim i can't tell you how many times people have made that joke
Certainly one of the top ragtime pianists today living
Tears through laughter, as with all Joplin; his grasp of emotional chords as awesome. Lovely interpretation. The drive and imagination cancel finger-slips. SJ would be proud, Professor!
Such a GREAT PERFORMANCE. When I started my formal music lessons, I made mistakes, but I perfected them. I'm sure that even the GREAT SCOTT JOPLIN made mistakes during his first performances, but it has been documented that he was improvising and perfecting his technique. BRAVO to your PERFORMANCE!!!!
CruiseControlOne Yes, this was GREAT! I am THANKFUL that I was even permitted to view this VIDEO while sitting on my COUCH!
Kristen you are awesome!
Very nice, great spirit and joy which is exactly what this rag is about. Please keep it up.
Think you should really have played your arrangement of "Friend Like Me" on that piano. I reckon the regular pianist would've just stood there, mouth-agape in awe.
+CultOfRevan98 Funny you say that.. I played it there once, but my nerves got the best of me and I blanked out half way through.. Clearly I need to go do it again. :P
Kristen Mosca Please record your next attempt! You're the number 1 ragtime pianist of today!
Yeah!!!!
Kristen Mosca you also have no reason not to have a big ol' smile across that face!
Super. Really, Really Good. You go girl. I am impressed!!!
Great fun! Keep 'em coming!
Kristen I laughed my butt off when your dog he interfered in one sweep with your hand down he went. Then the final jumping up to say I still love you. That was so cute.👍🤣😘
Great job, Kristen! Thanks for posting!
Glorious! Let’s have more !
I love Ragtime and Scott Joplin and your performance is great. And i want to play on the Ragtime piano too :D
Wow, what an inspiration you are!!
Wow, that was really awesome
Perfect timing and patience.
Add alot to the quality.
Stunning!
You are my favorite ragtime player, hands-down😞👍
My Favorit, too. Hope you Play much more joplins
Nicely done - sort of an obscure piece. Nice even pace. - Yes, well done. Good music without the clowning around.
I love Kristen. She's awesome.
One thing I forgot to mention...Kristen, I have to deal with my own nerves when I'm playing, too. I've hit too many clinkers whenever I've competed at the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest and Festival. In a setting like that, I get nervous about messing up in front of judges and peers. (But I still have a lot of fun playing!)
You're the best!
Great as always. Love your hair by the way.
Hi Kristen. I enjoy your channel and wondered if you ever played the Temptation Rag? If not, I think you would do a great job and keep it alive. Thank you
One of my Joplin favorites … 😂❤
excellent player...I've tried to play ragtime and I know the difficult. My congratulations for your performance. Greetings from Italy
Wonderful performance! You sound much better on this piano than the one in your home.
good feeling😊😺
A peach, playing The Peacherine Rag. Well done.
absolutely wonderful
omg you're amazing
Ragtime is such happy music..
beautiful
You know it was good cuz you got people to dance 👍
Totally AWESOME
look! a beautiful girl who is awesome at piano.
This Englishman thinks this is terrific. Well done! Joplin would love it too.
You are wonderful, young lady.
great! and beautiful!
Hey, you played it really good. Wish I could play like that. Have a good day!
Love this
As a musician myself who learned to play multiple instruments by ear and feeling I have this to say to a studied musician: Perfection is relative to one's own subjective orientation.
Soooo you got yerself some formal training, learned to read tablature and sheets, and you continue to improve or rise to your level of competence as you continue in the craft. If you are never satisfied with your skills you will always seek to improve upon your foundation but at the same time, those who aren't musically inclined who love a listen, can't tell the difference.
Sure glad you chose ragtime Ms. Mosca and not that long-haired flute-noodlin' you went to fancy-learnin' school for! Your playing fills me with joy, and comes in a beautiful package! Now....Could you please upload some spontaneous improvisation on the flute to a mayyybeee, Jethro Tull tune??! You DO still kiss the silver, dontcha??
This is so cool! Good job
Prettiest piano player I've ever seen
not sure you are permuted to say that these days..esp in the work force :) S.H. or something.....
@@johnpro2847 Too much political correctness... It's a cancer.
Hear, hear Kurt.
Really dialed in. Way to go.
Billy Bob Thornton liked it.
man in the white shirt is vibing
you are so good at piano
Watching and listening to Kristen playing is a visual and audio art form. Michael Parkinson
Looool @ the couples twirling in the background. You did great though. I make mistakes all the time. They're my trademarks too 😭 but it's ok. It makes it special :P
There's no such thing as a mistake. And any mistake you made, nobody noticed but you, guaranteed. That was great, btw.
I always take Bob Ross's words and call them 'happy little accidents'
But you wouldn't say that if you did not hear a mistake, logically.
More public pianos and places to dance
Cant wait this till the algorithm does its thing
Keep going. I am wanting to hear more.
I think many of us share the same problem which is that we're able to do whatever when by ourselves but as soon as there's an audience, stupid mistakes ensue. I don't know how concert pianists do it
The man behind her is like 'Yeah, she plays better than me, I'm here just to guard the piano' :-D
I think that guy is retired now, and he's actually a badass. I saw him on another ragtime channel giving tips to another very accomplished ragtime player.
@@johnwagner1549 He plays at Knott's about once a week nowadays
Guapaaaaa
how can you keep a straight face when you play .. im all smiles and i cant help it
I found myself dancing without realising :P
Hey, Kristen Mosca.
Once again another good play at the Ragtime piano at Disneyland.
I wanted to tell you that I found another Ragtime song I think you should try to play. It's called "Basil Rag", and it's from the Disney film, Basil, The Great Mouse Detective.
Here's a couple of links to the song.
1. ua-cam.com/video/30gGT_UJsLc/v-deo.html
2. ua-cam.com/video/FxUrAyN7J0o/v-deo.html
I'm not sure if there's a music sheet of this anywhere, so it's another one you'll probably have to play by ear. But apart from that, it's another song you should have a shot at trying to play.
just watched this,a great tune and second it for a Mosca make over.
Very Like 👍❤
Kristen, because SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people want your sheet music, or at least for you to make some for them, create or find an app that listens to what you play and writes it out for you and then lets you hit a button for the created sheet music to be saved onto your computer, that way, you wont have to write it out yourself. Maybe even pay someone to do it for you.
I will learn this if anyone believes in me haha
Edit: I already know the maple leaf rag so I feel qualified for this
Go for it!!
Is that Mark ruffalo from "begin again" again.?
Wow
Billybob Thornton has let himself go a bit...relatively speaking.
Would you like to try to "swing" this piece during your next visit? hahahaha
How long have you been playing for?
I want that piano. 🤤
how do you keep all that music in your head?
Hej Kirsten. You should send a litte smile now and then to the bystanders instead of looking so serious. It will improve your already outstanding performance :-)
How many turn-arounds in that song?
Those damn nerves!!! Why do they exists? >.
+Roland Schlösser I know man, I gottem too when I try and perform and can't seem to shake 'em! It's self-criticism combined with the dreaded ego I suppose.
even the best make mistakes. Take Louis Armstrong.. Doesnt matter, as long as you enjoy and having fun other people will like it
got a bit serious.
Have you always been that beautiful?
I did not know the let anyone but the cast member play the piano, guess Disneyland and Disney World are different in that respect.
Is your piano Roland?
I wish Mozart had composed a few pieces of ragtime.
Wear victorian era dress and play this song omg! :)
😊😘😍👌
what about the crasanthmum
Wat??!
Your hair beautiful
❤👍👍
Practice makes perfect!
Just practice, practice, practice, then when you have a spare moment...practice :)
What I really I need to practice is dealing with nerves! Gets me every time!
+Kristen Mosca Haha same here! It all sounds great until someone decides to watch me.
+johnnytremp That's a known phenomenon where you're using different parts of your brain to play in solitude and for an audience. I get the same effect when I record myself playing (I think).
