Somebody said that the engine should get a new tune since the oil in Thailand and US are not the same, it's different. You can see it from the smoke when you started it that it got a white smoke coming out. With the concern of breaking the engine, please check it out.

Those boats are amazing. Met some guys in Bangkok, actually seen the massive turbos on some Longtail at the dock and I waited around for the owners to return. They took me on a rip through the back canals of Bangkok. It was awesome but scary. Glad you brought one to America. Never forget that experience. 😊
Parker you can pressurize areas on your boat to force epoxy or whatever resin you want into the wood and that will strengthen and seal the areas that are constantly getting slammed by the water

Dr. Parker you should make those hoses that have the oil going into the bottom of the boat. Those hoses should get tapped right into the oil pan so that you're not running your motor out of oil . Not just into a catch can and running your motor out of oil. Keep up the good content, I like the channel.
CB Media UA-camr had a river boat built a long time ago but never got it to the US. He said getting the thing built was a huge nightmare. Glad you got yours. He has some unreal footage riding along on the boats on his channel.

I’ve rode in that style in Thailand. 2 upgrade needed. Weld an alignment bar on shaft that lines up with 3 tension bolts at top. And weld a hydrofoil type adjustable fin on bottom of skeg. Which will allow you to keep prop at right depth.
I think you've developed a whole new respect for those Thailand kids that keep that prop deep down in the water we're moving at 60 miles an hour you were doing 30. A lot tougher than you think Thailand boys

We have some recommend to you. 1) Your Engine need to tuning again from Cetane Number in US are difference from Thailand. 2) Enging positioning. 3) boat build form Task wood the US environmental not the same in Thailand You should invited Thai technician for solved you problem.
Definitely a captivating, extremely well produced, shot & edited video on the Thai Longtail. It took a lot of effort to get that boat in the US. Hopefully the engine issue gets resolved. Does seem compression related. 😥
Should weld a tab on that rear shaft with a hole where it slides into the trans to keep it stationary, and also act as a pinch point to keep from sliding out. It’s definitely a ripper 👍 congrats

This boat hasn’t yet reached its peak performance because, as someone mentioned, it needs fine-tuning. The problem lies in the difference between the fuel types in the US and Thailand, as indicated by the white fumes when the engine starts. If properly adjusted, it will be able to achieve top speeds like a racing boat.

You needed to vacuum bag that crack to draw the epoxy resin further into the crevice. Most all fiberglass boats use this method. If your fix doesn't work, think about this method.
Come back to Thailand and take some lessons from the local Boys on how to drive that thing. When they want to turn around in a tight space at slow speeds they will swing that prop around to 90 or 110 degrees to the hull of the boat and give it some throttle. That thing will cut a sharp turn.
be careful there, you ask for a long tail ride in the wrong part of town and there isnt gonna be any boats involved!! Them lady boys can be tricky i hear lol

14:00 didn't use enough hardner. I learnt from the best. Just call and talk to the boys at Hibachi body shop.
It was a 2/1 ratio 2 part epoxy. I did exactly that with a measuring cup, but that is for the concern!

Should weld a tab on that rear shaft with a hole where it slides into the trans to keep it stationary, and also act as a pinch point to keep from sliding out.

This boat hasn’t yet reached its peak performance because, as someone mentioned, it needs fine-tuning. The problem lies in the difference between the fuel types in the US and Thailand, as indicated by the white fumes when the engine starts. If properly adjusted, it will be able to achieve top speeds like a racing boat.

You needed to vacuum bag that crack to draw the epoxy resin further into the crevice. Most all fiberglass boats use this method. If your fix doesn't work, think about this method.

Come back to Thailand and take some lessons from the local Boys on how to drive that thing. When they want to turn around in a tight space at slow speeds they will swing that prop around to 90 or 110 degrees to the hull of the boat and give it some throttle. That thing will cut a sharp turn.
