    Thanks for your dedication and work.....
    The pico as well as the snap on units do allow custom set ups, the pico will even allow to configure customized probes.....

    This was a great video can’t wait for more parts. I love my pico I also have the Verus edge and I think the pico is best bang for the buck. The E scope is incredible but it’s very expensive. I like the fact that you showed 3 scopes and didn’t show any bias toward any of them. It’s nice to have a true tool professional walking us through this. I never realized to zoom in on a wave form like injector to see drivability issues. Thank you
    Ps...if you use all 4 channels on the pico if you place it on auto it’ll pick up whatever you need to look at so you don’t need a preset technically. I subbed you.

    Thanks guys it gets over the message that new users shouldn't be afraid of scopes just get in there and hook up to anything you can look at known goods known bads just roll your sleeves up try settings. All scopes are really the same voltage against time, even playing around with the most basic scopes will teach you a lot.

    For me the pico is the scope of choice! It’s very capable, very simple to use, large screen for capturing, I prefer the units in per division personally but you can choose if that’s how you want it or per screen time. The escope has some great features but it looks so cluttered and difficult, I’m sure it’s easy when used to it but to learn on it doesn’t get easier than the pico! I use the snap on verus scope occasionally however the resolution is too slow in some cases, the zoom function is backwards which I hate, and to change anything you have to do too much to get to where you want it. It’s ok as a quick outside the workshop check but in-depth for me it’s not so good. Pico all day long! Great videos guys!! Thank you

    This is the perfect video series! My dealership last year started up a diagnostic division under my supervision; any diag that goes over 72 hrs is automatically pushed to us and/or all comebacks are given to us. We started out with a used VERUS edge because we didn't know exactly what we needed in a lab scope and the deal was good ($3000 plus updates). The VERUS did work great but I always felt GUI was limiting the tool's capabilities and the user settings were too bland. After a year of working with the VERUS, watching videos of the escope, and learning more about Pico Scopes, I had concluded that Snap-On scopes are for beginners.
    Snap-On's reply was "Oh you needs a Zeus... with the Zeus you can blah blah blah..." After letting the tool dealer and his district rep talk I hooked up the VERUS and the Zeus to a car we were using the 4 channel scope on. I walked them through all the screens and showed them that the VERUS and Zeus have no difference between them. The Zeus offers no extra features or settings over the VERUS. The only difference is the OBD2 box and the computer tablet. The Zeus OBD2 dongle can communicate with newer networks but is also backwards compatible with the VERUS.
    Two weeks later another Snap-On rep showed up, he heard about my complaint, he was from the regional sales team and specialized in the Zeus. We talked... a lot. The Zeus had more fancy OBD2 scan features and user tips, that was given. What he couldn't do is out perform the VERUS during a lab scope showdown. Nothing changed.
    What I learned from all this was: Buy a VERUS for under $1500. Buy the new OBD2 dongle for $900. Update the tool and subscriptions for $1000. Grand total $3400. OR buy a ecope for $3400 and purchase a Mitchel One subscription for $40 a month.
    Overall the Snap-On scopes are not junk. They are designed for the entry level tech and shop that needs a quick answer. Our VERUS is used everyday by junior members of my team. I still enjoy using it for training and helping techs bench components. Two years ago the VERUS was too much tool for me; the eScope's advanced features and post data view features are only as good as the end user.

    Hey G I hope that you all plan to do some comparisons of the scopes on CAN bus systems. Big debt on Diag.net about how pico can see fine “wiggle” details in a can bus over the Escope. I realize that there is some automotive signals now that we just can not look at.

    • @TSTseminars
      @TSTseminars  5 років тому

      Thomas in upcoming after the basic signals we will be scoping CAN bus....its not always the cleanest signal that finds the problem...If you have not already Subscribed to our tstseminars UA-cam channel please do so. Is there any work around to the SnapOn not having a zoom feature. I know you can go to a very low time base, stop, and then zoom out but you only get like a second worth of good detail and that's literally useless...

    You can change the Pico to be per screen as well. Need someone better informed to show the Pico. You can show each channel in its own window as well. There are many things you can do with the Pico.

    Iv'e used a snapon scope, modis,verus, verus edge, for 15 years. I bought an Escope elite 4 a year and a half ago and love the Elite 4 much more. Its much easier to use and saves time. The transducer software puts snapon to shame.
