Pro tip for my dear no-oil chefs:
Use a tablespoon of the coconut milk you were about to use anyway in a curry and sizzle your onions/garlic/herbs in there :)

    Hallo fellas,
I bought a couple of your books recently. I am diabetic and could really do with some recipes for meals that have less than 30 grams of carbohydrate. I have been playing it by ear and counting the carbs myself, but I'm running out of ideas and was wondering if you guys have ever thought of doing a book of recipes specifically for diabetics who want to control their carb intake to less than 100 grams per day and no more than 30 grams per meal?

i don't understand how everyone loves tempeh. i bought some and it tastes awful.. i don't know if i'm doing it wrong, but i'll give it another go like you guys have here by shredding it into a chick pea curry..

Some people say to boil it for 10 minutes before cooking it to get rid of the bitterness.

    • @CathrinCatherine

I felt the same way too but if i cut it into the size of fries and drown it in ketchup, it’s quite pleasant.
Plus: The Happy Pear tofu, kale and chickpea curry is Amazing. So Im sure this recipe here will go well if you substitute the tempeh with (smoked) tofu :)

i think its the same, like soy milk. some tastes awful, some great. i also tested black bean tempeh last week and it was very good.

Even if it is low fat coconut milk, it is still very high in saturated fat. Not really good for heart or circulatory system.

VivoBarefoot shoes are great to walk with on non-hard surface. Plus they are made from RECYCLED materials, so it's almost as eco-friendly & as vegan as buying second hand.

Too much added salt isn't good but sodium intake is necessary in small amounts, especially if you're physically active.

    • @thehappypear

The amount of salt it takes to season a dish and the amount in processed food, one of the main contributors to heart disease is very different.
