Excellent! You helped me put together my Astro schedule. Clear skies and take care

Really great highlights of the coming month video - most helpful and inspirational for planning what to expect and possibly image (weather permitting!). September is perfect month as there's more hours of darkness but the air is still warm enough to keep the dew point away.

Glad it was helpful, as you say it’s a lovely time to observe isn’t it?

Thanks Mark, another good video with very useful info, people might get confused as you mention M101 as the Pinwheel galaxy and later on you mention M33 as the Pinwheel galaxy as well.

Good point! The problem is that Sky Safari seems to be following the American approach of giving every deep sky object a nickname. Not sure I agree with half of them and the resulting confusion when different objects have the same nickname!

Thanks for the informative video! As a southern hemisphere resident i'm really happy saturn comes up almost to zenith, although this year jupiter is more suited to northern latitudes we only have it go up to 40 degrees altitude. Hope you enjoy jupiter :)

Where are you based? I am very jealous of your southern skies! You get to see so much more than us. But thanking you for sending the planets north for us! Much appreciated.

@@RefreshingViews Haha. I'm in Sydney Australia. Not to brag but the astro society I belong to has a bortle 2 dark sky location just 3 hours drive from Sydney :-)
You should visit if you get a chance, it's not just kangaroos and crocodiles and creepy spiders ;-)

@@ziggyfrnds be careful - I might take you up on that! I’d love to come over. When and where are your main Sydney star parties?

@@RefreshingViews In the state of New South Wales we have the South Pacific Star Party 3rd week of May (this is near Sydney), in the state of Queensland we have the Queensland Astrofest which just finished last week (it's scheduled second or third week of August). Mate you are most welcome to visit! I can help with your itinerary if you do plan to visit. The best time is winter when weather is clear and you can enjoy the milky way show

@@ziggyfrnds thanks - I’ll search them up. We have daughters in secondary school exams for next two years (poor planning on our part!) so I’ll look forward to it in future years.

Defo! Fingers crossed for some clear skies this weekend. I will use my venerable ASI224mc - a colour one shot camera. Will you give it a go too Craig?

M57, another planetary nebula might be a good object to live stack for next months addition.

Good thinking! I am always surprised at how small M57 is - particularly after having looked at your Dumbbell.

@@RefreshingViews There are a lot of them Crescent, North America, Ring, Pelican, Cygnus loop with zillion options, Elephant Trunk. Those are simple ones and great for beginners. Then will come bubble, witch head, packman, California, etc.
