What's in MY night sky? Easy: clouds and light pollution! 🤣
At least you have clouds. 😢
Moon venus only in my night sky
That's the spirit! ☔
I like how you just don't provide photography instructions but all the related practical information and resources! Itd be great to get an uodate on how your move to Turkey is going and what it's like there!
Really, really happy to have found your channel this morning; just subscribed. (Andrew A. booming you up.)
I've never found anything close to this; it's awesome. Thanks so much, Alyn. ATB from Western Australia. I know, Southern Hemisphere, but you've got us covered.
Absolutely love these videos
Daylight 24 hours. Saw Venus after the elongation. Cheers
Nice presentation, thank you ~ !
Thanks
Waiting all winter for your updates. So not a winter person. Best place to see sunrise on summer solstice, Glastonbury Tor🌄🏕️
So look forward to these vlogs.... thanks Alyn another great one.
Nice job on the 3rd thru 1st place! Gr8 shots! I’d love to get some like that really soon!
Cool video! I’ll get some good stuff this month!
Thanks again!
Used to live at 54 degrees north in northern British Columbia. Sun would set at 11 pm, then rise at 4 am. Now living in Australia which much better, much warmer
My location flirts between astronomical and nautical twilight in June, or as my camera likes to call it, 'blue sky' 😂 So, it is usually noctilucent clouds that I concentrate on. Hopefully they'll make an appearance soon 🤞😀
Venus in the western sky last week had me Googling! It was so big and bright and me not being astrologicaly minded, had me miffed for a minute. This was in Paisley, Scotland.
Fantastic work as always. We would love to see you please make a video on Canopus & ETA Carinae. God Bless
Hi Alyn, any chance you review the new viltrox 16mm 1,8 for sony e mount? Cheers
Whats the name app of the nightsky simulation. Is pretty look cook. I want installed it.
Is that really the Milky Way band? because books I have read and new science say its Sagittarius galaxy the milky collided with millions of years ago. Its the remnants of that collision.
Thank you for these monthly updates, really appreciate it! I would like to order your book (from the EU) but the code "UA-cam" doesn't work there. Is there another option to get the 10% off or is that just for ordering on the website?
Annoyingly eBay has removed the discount code option unless you sign up to a monthly subscription. Trying to find a workaround. I might just discount eBay by 10%, but I already take losses on my ebay sales thanks to their awful commission rates.
@@AlynWallace meh that sucks. I assume it's not not feasible to have another distribution channel for EU countries?
@@BenchR267 Brexit has caused a nightmare with EU customs. A lot of books were being returned to us or getting stuck in customs. eBay might have its sickening fees but the deliveries have been swift as the customer is able to pay import duties up front and they go through a green lane at customs. I've just made the eBay price 10% off for a short period.
@@AlynWallace awesome, thank you 🙂
Me in 60 degrees north😶
How is it we are able to view the same constellations maintaining their exact same configurations with no distortion since ancient times if the earth is traveling around the sun which is traveling through space? The North Star stays in the same spot and the other stars make perfect trails around it which you can view from time lapse videos of the night sky? It's not possible. If so please explain how that works. I'm so confused
The North Star doesn't stay in the same spot. It moves due to Earth's precessionary wobble. It only became the North Star in about 500AD. Ancient times for humans is a mere blink of the eye for the motion of the astronomical bodies. We're talking thousands of years vs billions
What is the best cheap camera to take pictures in the night sky?
Any 📷 with a manual shutter for those loooonnnnnggg exposures .
@@geraldstiling3735 but looooooooooooooooooooong Exposures require a star tracker.
Clock drive?
Winter's very rare polar stratospheric clouds are also beautiful 😙
Get out your sun filters this month. At least solar astronomy is more interesting at the moment.
Hey alyn! Will you be getting sigmas new 14mm lens?! It looks so so good and would love to see you use it. It would be gr8 to see a pro use something this beautiful! Here is a link to see someone’s review that shows the quality.

I highly doubt it, it's way too big and heavy. The Sony 14mm f/1.8 GM is already perfect and its half the size and weight.
First! 🎉❤
Good day Sir.
Love your work
I live in Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦.
Please can you send 5 minutes on you monthly, month in review.
We here at -26 don’t get many reviews.
Gonna submit #WITNS 😊

I'm thinking of heading back to Crater Lake again. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate better than last year!
