Great take. This is a business decision plane and simply. Just because a vocal minority wants something, being the loudest minority in a room still makes you an minority. And believe me, Bassmaster did the numbers. They are looking way down the road. I would be interested in the viewership numbers from this season from a third party. Tight lines. Regards, Steven.
I think its a fair set of rules. 1 FFS transducer levels the playing field. 55" is plenty. Thats a 16" and 12" on the bow and 2 x 12" on the console. Or a 22" and 12" on the bow and a 16" on the console. A wider variety of different lakes is a good idea. I would like to see them take it one step further and only allow FFS sonar on half of the venues in the season. Either a rule that says the angler must nominate those venues he will use the FFS or BASS decides which venues it will be allowed. If they are serious about "conservation" then dont allow FFS on the northern swing and texas swing, that will also show you which anglers have the skill set.
BASS was in a tough spot. How do you make everyone happy? You can't. What I think is funny is how quickly they came out with this after the NPFL. That "business decision" got us talking about the NPFL but BASS' quick response gets us talking about them again real quick. Did they do enough? Only time will tell but it was the fairest decidision they could make.
@@cerebraltackle I’m saying I’d rather not have St. John’s on there lol. And they haven’t been to the Mississippi River in a few years so it will be good to see them back. I really like this schedule. Fork in May will be interesting and probably mostly a deep game at that point

I like it. A logical, compromising desicion that doesn't ban anything. The 55" of screens seems a bit excessive. But other than that, it seems very similar to the average guy's boat set-up. Throw in several river / shallow water venues like the Sabine, Mississippi river ect... and you'll help reduce the ffs dependency every tournament. That being said you'll still have some "Randys" that will bitch about it no matter what.
