@@tranzformedyouthtn So you think it will be a place for the tier of anglers that can't qualify to fish on the top tier tours? I've never watched one of their events and can't even say I've seen one advertised or streamed. If they can't produce a good show, it really doesn't matter who is fishing. I'd also say, those names are not the future of the sport. They are not in the prime of their careers for sure. Guess time will tell.
I’ve seen some of the events decent for sure. This year they went to an outside app which sucked but the product is good. Several hammers are already there. Welcher Walter cook tharp Logan cox . The future honestly who knows where the future is right.
Okay. Will they be forced to remove FFS from their boats? What about the rest of the electronics? Putting marshals in the boats would be my vote. Catch, weigh, release. Why bring the bass to the stage?
I know the big leagues have leadership deeply invested in this technology, does not mean they will prohibit it in future but makes you wonder. Enjoy what you do!!! I think the word is out and everyday fishermen purchased these and removing it from BASS or MLF will not create to much lost revenue due to maturity of the systems and the word has been spread for last 3-4 years now.
I think they do what makes best financial sense. NPFL doesn't have any income from FFS businesses. They are trying to be different. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
They have nothing to lose honestly, watch a lot of fishing and I just jeard of them six months ago on Luke Duncan podcast. They will never overtake B.A.S.S or MLF. A professional angler should be able to catch fish regardless of sonar, this seems like a publicity stunt for sure.
I have used FFS since it came out and I'm not too fond of fishing with it. It is my last resort if nothing is happening anywhere else. I kind of like the fact that many people were out chasing fish in the middle deep. It kept them away from me and off MY fish.
I get they want to differentiate themselves. As long as that is the true motivation. I really think this FFS whining and crying is just that. I have it and use it. You still have to make them bite, you still have to present properly and still have to be able to locate quality fish that win tournaments. You don't just flip the damn thing on and 5 pounders start jumping in the boat like the whiners would have you believe.
I congratulate them for standing up and making the right call. Fishermen should catch fish the way they should be caught, by using their own talents to catch fish, not technology.
Great decision! And obviosly wellthought out. They will lose some that rely heavily on it, but this could become heavy with the great, traditional anglers coming over.
Ya, I heard about this earlier this morning! Great news! Back to REAL fishing! Good on them and especially good for competitive bass fishing… not to mention good for the bass and future anglers 💪🏻🎣
As always… first to drop good news! Think its a step in the right direction! We’ve had our conversation so you already know my thoughts! 😂😂 my new brother from another mother!
Will this decision by NPFL result in traditional anglers, including many famous names in the "senior" ranks, leaving BP/MLF in order to increase their competitiveness and thereby more viewership? Will this move mean more advertising from endemic companies, like lure manufacturers, e.g.? Will this decision boost angler participation and fan enjoyment, raising the awareness, stature, and popularity of NPFL? A line has been crossed. What will be the eventual response by BP/MLF and the Garmin/Lowrance/H'bird be? Interesting times, fer sure. I wish the NPFL success in this experiment.
Fishing without FFS is more exciting IMO. More about skill, understanding of bass behavior, etc and less reliance on the electronics. I'll definitely be watching more NPFL!
Absolutely this was an inevitable choice... People will enjoy watching again and sporting equipment will sell more ... Good for everybody all around.. Great for our future generations...
Now you’ll see the actual pros winning. Not the tech kids. It’s about time! Fair chase means something in fishing as well as hunting. And I’m grateful they’ve made the right decision.
This is great news for anglers, fans, and NPFL. The other trails won’t be this bold, I don’t think. So this series will be the standard that everyone compares the bass and mlf to. Congratulations and good for all of us
Exactly what they said a business move . They have nothing to lose I gives them more exposure and more press and you will have a lot of people saying they are the only real fishing league now . If I was running the npfl I would of done the same thing that being said it doesn't mean that what mlf or bass should do . For npfl it was great move .
Hello Steve. Interesting move by the NPFL. Now, not having any electronics sponsors will make the decision easier. But congratulations on being the first. Now I'm not against FFS. Actually, I kind of like it to an extent. My favorite derby's are a mixed bag, some deep, some shallow. I am interested to see the long term affect of this decision. There will be the hype at the beginning, but will the numbers pan out over time? As the older anglers age out of sport. And will younger anglers want to give up their electronics when there probably will be other options? We have to remember that FFS is not really going away any time as far as I know. The viewership numbers from next year will be a test. You never know they might find their own niche. But if numbers drop to pre FFS, it will be back on the table, and that's good business. I know that they can catch them without FFS I do, and I know you can. And I am a bass head, so I watch all the derby's I can whether they catch them or not. But will a casual person watch a grinder. Tight lines. Regards, Steven.
Another banger from you. I agree completely. There numbers are not good now, IMO. I think they might get a kick start for next year, but holding those views will be the challenge against the big boys. It's a huge undertaking I think. I have been jotting down questions again to send to them. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
I never could afford graphs growing up I measured the depth by my rod tip so I knew how to catch fish before it because they were food Getting into tournaments I mustard up the money and I got one just to be able to keep up Im glad I don’t have to spend $10k on a basic electronic package now just to fish at a high level
I think you’re right. I just don’t think they’ll go as far as prohibiting it. It is a risky move. At least there’s something for the folks that hate ffs, and I think that’s enough to gain a lot of attention

Do you think electronic companies will prohibit sponsored anglers from entering these tournaments?
I don't know, sponsors have been known to ask weird things from their anglers. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
It was inevitable, there are so many against FFS why wouldn’t a league start up ???
They are making the best move for their organization. Cheers and tight lines!!
Do you think it will affect bait compnies?
I don't think so. Cheers!!
Okay. Will they be forced to remove FFS from their boats? What about the rest of the electronics? Putting marshals in the boats would be my vote. Catch, weigh, release. Why bring the bass to the stage?
I don't know. I think there's more to come with some of the little things. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Agreed!! Cheers!!
Can they still use ay electronics?
Yes, only thing prohibited is live forward. Cheers!!
I have used FFS since it came out and I'm not too fond of fishing with it. It is my last resort if nothing is happening anywhere else. I kind of like the fact that many people were out chasing fish in the middle deep. It kept them away from me and off MY fish.
Love this. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
They want to make themselves different is dead on. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
I congratulate them for standing up and making the right call. Fishermen should catch fish the way they should be caught, by using their own talents to catch fish, not technology.
Yeah this is a huge decision. We will see how it works out for them. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Fyi, fish don't just jump in the boat due to using FFS. As they don't pounding the banks. Where is the talent of pounding a bank? Lol
Only time will tell if it was a good or bad business decision. You already know how I feel.
Yeah, they don't have anything to loose, so this makes sense. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Great decision! And obviosly wellthought out. They will lose some that rely heavily on it, but this could become heavy with the great, traditional anglers coming over.
I agree. Cheers!!
All right. This sets a level playing field for many.
Yes it does. Cheers!!
@@GetUrFishOn Randy put out a video. He's been fighting for this cause
@@guadalupe_rodriguezNPK yeah I saw it. Sure he’s really happy.
Ya, I heard about this earlier this morning! Great news! Back to REAL fishing! Good on them and especially good for competitive bass fishing… not to mention good for the bass and future anglers 💪🏻🎣
I hear ya. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
I would like to know the age of the guys running NPFL. Then been in business 4 years ! Ask them if going to stop bed fishing ?
There's some older anglers, but they have some young stud anglers too. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Fantastic News. I now have a professional fishing league that I can follow.
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
NPFL will gain anglers. They have nothing to lose. They are trying to separate themselves from the other tours.
They have nothing to loose, only upside IMO. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Good! now all the people against it can have their own league to follow!
Yes they can. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
As always… first to drop good news! Think its a step in the right direction! We’ve had our conversation so you already know my thoughts! 😂😂 my new brother from another mother!
Thanks BROTHER!!! Cheers!!
We will know how it goes with 2025 coming fast. I don't know how it will go but I also wish them the best. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Finally! Back to bass fishing
Lets hope it all works out for them. Cheers!!
Fishing without FFS is more exciting IMO. More about skill, understanding of bass behavior, etc and less reliance on the electronics. I'll definitely be watching more NPFL!
Ya catch more fish with it, that's what matters to me.... Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Absolutely this was an inevitable choice... People will enjoy watching again and sporting equipment will sell more ... Good for everybody all around..
Great for our future generations...
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
The NPFL will grow big time because of this awesome decision! I will follow and watch EVERY tournament 👍🏻
They appreciate it for sure. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
About freakin time.. Let’s get real fisherman back!
Yes, things are changing. Cheers and tight lines!!
Good for the NPFL. This is a huge step in the right direction. Now it's time for BASS and MLF, to grow some balls.
They are going to make some sort of change, but I don't know what. Cheers!!
Good news! They're doing the right thing for the sport.
We will find out if it's right or wrong. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
I like the idea thanks for sharing
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Now you’ll see the actual pros winning. Not the tech kids. It’s about time! Fair chase means something in fishing as well as hunting. And I’m grateful they’ve made the right decision.
Should be fun to see how things play out. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
@Johnafinn just another troll, the only one delusional is you. Blocked and reported.
Is hummingbird 360 a FFS??
I don't know honestly. They are prohibiting the LIVE forward facing sonar. Cheers!!
This is great news for anglers, fans, and NPFL. The other trails won’t be this bold, I don’t think. So this series will be the standard that everyone compares the bass and mlf to. Congratulations and good for all of us
I think others will make some changes, but I don't know when or what. Cheers!!
My questions about this decision is #1 how will it be enforced? If someone is found to be using it anyway what will the penalty be?
I would imagine someone caught using it is cheating. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Exactly what they said a business move . They have nothing to lose I gives them more exposure and more press and you will have a lot of people saying they are the only real fishing league now . If I was running the npfl I would of done the same thing that being said it doesn't mean that what mlf or bass should do . For npfl it was great move .
I agree. They don't have an electronic sponsors so that helps with this decision. Cheers!!
Cheers!!
I never could afford graphs growing up I measured the depth by my rod tip so I knew how to catch fish before it because they were food
Getting into tournaments I mustard up the money and I got one just to be able to keep up
Im glad I don’t have to spend $10k on a basic electronic package now just to fish at a high level
Those prices are coming down soon I think. Cheers!!
Great move.....love it.
Yes I agree. Cheers and tight lines!!
‘Bout time someone did!
There should be more, but not to this level. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Loose anglers?! If anything, they should gain anglers, as I now will consider the anglers on the NPFL the only ones with integrity from now on.
They will have some the go, but they think they will have more that join. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
I think you’re right. I just don’t think they’ll go as far as prohibiting it. It is a risky move. At least there’s something for the folks that hate ffs, and I think that’s enough to gain a lot of attention
Thank you!! Cheers!!
NPFL is my new favorite league
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Wonder if they will pull any elite guys over?
They have some now, but we will see who jumps in. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
lol, now Randy can go dominate, right? 🤣😂🤣
PLEASE NO!!! Cheers!! LOL
Can they use them for practice
I don't know the answer to this. Cheers!!
Do they consider 360 FFS?
I think it's the LIVE stuff they are prohibiting. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
@Johnafinn I only use live scope for finding grass, brush, or rock piles. I already had Garmins so I bought livescope and would trade it for 360 in a heart beat
Great news!!!
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!!
Will see i have no issues with ffs. Dont see to many other leagues following suits.
I think they will see some, but we will know after their season. Cheers and tight lines!!
