    They are the most immersive headphones I've ever heard along with the 371s. The opposite of Sennheisers. These aren't "relaxed." These are the professional wrestlers of headphones. The Andrew WKs. As for the most comfortable, I don't know. Philips 9500. Sennheiser 599. Even the Rockville M50 Pro are comfortable and sound great, coming with a case and both kinds of pads.

      Currently i'm looking for a takstar pro 82 upgrade, because after 4 years of use the bass is making an "brr" noise on my left pad. Do you know any good alternative? Was looking for these AKG361 but turns out that a lot of people thinks that the sound is worse. Would be a nice help, looking for around 100$ budget headphones.

    Brother loves his AKG K240's (I think they're an older model K240 than what's on offer now, gold trim like the Studio but I don't think they're Studios). Since they're open-back they aren't suitable for listening in an office, where he instead uses Cambridge Audio bluetooth IEM's, which aren't so comfortable for hours on end. I think this might just be his birthday present this year.

    Hey Zeos, I have an idea of a video for you, what about like putting your headphones in the table and sorting them out by the kind of sound you get out of them. I thought this might be helpful if you already have decent headphones and want another pair, but don't want to get something expensive with similar sound (like for example I have HD 6xx now but don't know if getting the Elex would be worth it or if I should try something completely different in terms of sound)

    Z, i got a tip? Kinda? It's mostly for everyone here. Here goes, so if you have your old bose QC 35, their pads tend to wear out really quick in warmer climates, causing you to have to replace them every year or so. Despite that, the pads for them are in fact amazing, so its kinda worth it. Anyways, i had an old set of replaced earcups (cause the leather on them had peeled off significantly) and i basically took a knife on them and removed the pad foam from the QC. the foam just so happens to be the perfect shape and size to be able to squeeze under the pleather covering this ones cups, so that under the leather, you have the regular yellow foam and then its covered by green foam from the QC. it solves the issue of the driver covering touching your eartips (I have large ears) and i think it improves the way stuff sounds, by a fairly large factor.

      Depends on your use-case:
      AKG361 if you want good general purpose all-rounder cans. Think Pro82 with better detail.
      HD280 if you want great monitors that can be used for mixing (once you understand their quirks). Do not buy these if you're a bass head!
      M40x if you want your ears to hurt

    • @hyzy96
      @hyzy96 4 роки тому +2

      @@danboud8135 okay what if my main priority is comfort and build quality. I am not an audiophile so I don't really understand a lot of music, but want to invest in some good quality headphones. I was thinking of going for the DT 770 but they are a bit above my budget.

    • @danboud8135
      @danboud8135 4 роки тому +4

      @@hyzy96 The DT770s are rock-solid. Full disclosure, I’ve only listened to the 80 Ohm version but a colleague of mine, whose opinion I hold in high standing, says the difference is so very, very slight the casual listener won’t spot it. They sound great. Full, voluminous bass without being boomy and detailed highs that sparkle (some do say, a little too much but I do like a little “snap”). Plus the soundstage is damn impressive. The build is great as they feel very rugged, have great comfort, but my only gripe is that the cable is non-removable… and that DT770 cable goes on for days. Not really a mobile option. But if you’re sitting and listening, it’s worth finding the extra scratch and buying these. They’re excellent. I know Z didn’t splooge all over them, but they deserve love.
      Now, if you’re looking for a strong contender that won’t hurt your budget, the Takstar Pro 82s (or their clone, the Cooler Master MH751s) are more than worthy. Not as detailed as the DT770 but have a very relaxed sound, are built great and are comfy as hell. Pro tip, if you go for the Cooler Masters, get the newer 2nd generation version as the first batch did have some build issues but they’ve now been sorted.
      Hope that helped!

    Looks like I may have narrowed it down to these or the dt 770 pro 250ohm. I have HD6XXs, SHP9500Ss, and ATH-M40Xs(uncomfortable after a short while). I want a more comfortable closed back headphone though for when it's noisy and I need to just not hear the noise and hear the music or movie or whatever I'm listening to. Comfort and sound quality, and sound isolation are the most important things for me, seem these are more comfortable but I hear the dt 770pro is really good at isolating sound. I have a A30/D30 setup on my desktop and don't really plan on much on the go use. Listen to a decent amount of japanese music and classical and some other stuff like indie and acoustic stuff. I am always hesitant to buy more headphones though since I don't use the ones I own as often as I thought I would when I bought them.

I own some of the expensive ones and they are not bloody better then the HD280 not even by a little bit. The Bass in the 280 is amazing and these headphones are very well balanced (not shrilling ear piercing highs) like the rubbish HD800 which I owned and returned. Nice balanced frequencies across all the range and the isolation is superb. You will not hear noise from outside and people will not hear what you are hearing. Confort also is absolutely fantastic after keeping them stretching on a yoga block. I own 3 of these now. One for my PC, one in my bedroom with my THX789 and one in my TV room. This headphone is also amazing for movies. It cost just like a cable for any other headphones..... so why not give it a try. For gaming, the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X is the king for 'budget' headphones. Can also get the AD500X will work too if you need to go down in price. The AD500X have a slightly more diffused sound stage, bit more bass & slightly less treble. But both are amazing for gaming.
      Sennheiser always made very solid headphones that work well in games. Haven't heard their latest revamp on the 500 series yet, but the 598 should be very good. They're do not have the same amazing sound stage that you'll get with the Audio-Technica, but they're a bit more 'alive' for certain genres of music and movies.
      The AKG-K701/2 are probably the best gaming headphones you can buy, unless something better came out that I'm not aware of yet. However, the AD700X comes very freaking close to them.
