I own a 2018 Hayabusa & I love it. Only changed mufflers to slip on megaphones & it made the purr turn into the mighty Lion Roar!! Wow!! Scary fast superbike!!
I got a 2014 50th Anniversary edition, and im not changing shit… is perfect the way it is, love it❤
If you've never ridden a Busa you just can't imagine the experience. It's a great bike and it will do most things really REALLY well!!! (Just not off-road :) )
I had a 99 busa a few years back,since ive had a 08 CBR1000RR and next week im trading my Aprilia RSV4 for a 2013 hayabusa ABS.
I always missed my busa....a little more comfort, much more torque, the bike handles well enough, large tank range, sexy stand out looks.
Bottom line...a dude that had the 1000cc bikes cant wait to come back to the 1300 Hayabusa.Im 33 now and we all need to go through a few bikes to see what suits more....cant wait to come HOME:)
Nice! BUSA FO LYFE!! LOL
There's something about a busa.
I've been riding a cbr 600 for almost 2 years now and I'm looking for something that is more comfortable for long rides and that still will do ok in the twisties. Looks like this might be my new bike soon.
best looking motorcycle ever made, it´s a piece of art.
This is a very well done review. Absolutely right about the GT aspect of it. The bike wants to go fast and does so with ease, but it doesn't make you constantly want to ride like a hooligan. If you want that experience get a 1000cc RR bike. The Gen 2 Busa may not be the fastest bike out there anymore but 99% of riders would still never be able to push to the limits of this bike's performance. Especially on public roads. While it's true you must have self control or this bike will kill you, it is one of the most satisfying, well rounded and powerful motorcycles you can own... Still.
Just got a 2013 HAYABUSA. Everything u said was on the money. I'm loving my bike!
congrats! Thanks for sharing!
Your review is exactly why I got mine (in April). LOVE it and love it the more I ride it. A gentle giant, comfortable, and just goes for days in comfort and absolute power when I need (or better yet, want it.)
Nice! Yeah, I had no idea it was so awesome.
Damn this is really screwing with my head! I'm thinking about changing my 2008 Blackbird. The ZZR1400 had got me convinced that was the bike I wanted but now having seen this I'm not so sure. I hated the look of the Busa but that white paint job is a thing of beauty! Back to square one :D
I love the iconic look of the Hayabusa, always have. The only thing that has stopped me from buying one is traction control, or the lack of it. I ended up buying a zx14r. The looks, comfort, electronics and speed. I’ve been tempted to get one of these as well, just for the experience.
Ninja ZX-12R you sound like an absolute looser. Traction control was designed for a reason, and has probably saved many many lives. You are probably a guy that rides around with no helmet and no gear because you think you’re cool while everyone thinks you are a complete looser. Such an ignorant comment really shows your intelligence.
186mph isn't the top speed for the bike just get it de-restrict and it will get to 200mph+
Mine did 190 with me on it,but I'm over 6',and 200,and this was the first year.
Got to love the Hayabusa. 😍😀
am thinking very seriously of swapping my 08 Harley Soft-tail Deluxe for a "New" 2013 Hayabusa, and after watching this review, I will most likely do it? The idea of Brembo and ABS is very appealing, as is the well earned reputation of the "Busa". For the record I am 56 years old, and will never use any where near the horsepower the Busa has, but that's ok. I have had my Harley for several months, and while it's a great bike, i'm bored. The Busa will never be boring i'm sure.
You have 3 power modes to play with too. You can turn into a kitten or a tyrant(with right RPMs/mode). It's really best of both worlds to me. It has the comfort of touring bikes without the negatives except weight. Then the fun of supersports, but BIG powerful supersports not "slow" 600s. lol
+Your Fast Life! In my opinion the mode switch is absolutely useless. The only way i would actually use mode C if there was a risk of ice on the road. It does not have qualities of traction control- it just changes the throttle response and actually messes the whole relationship between throttle opening and acceleration. Even in wet no point of using it as you just wound not want to ride so close to the limit of loosing traction, so just leave it mode A and be careful. At least your brain will not be confused by change in response to throttle in different modes
rolandsv8 To each their own. I personally like it.
This is the best motorcycle review ever. Wish I had seen it before.
I loaned my Busa to a buddy that has rode most his life. He called it a “flying sofa”. Extremely comfortable but twist your wrist and it comes alive.
ian davies I think technically the Kawi is better, but if I'm gonna ride a big overweight bike, I want the busa. I would ride both bikes to decide. Busa IS nice though!
Before I purchased a Busa I thought it was all hype...and then I bought one. It far exceeded my expectations. You can ride it like a grandpa or like a speed demon and it behaves well in both. I think for me it's the most comfortable sportbike that was ever made!
You just need to use the rear brake more on the Busa. I love mine for touring.
I’m only 7 years late but…really enjoyed that!
Nice review man the looks man its gorgeous!!
Drop some weight by getting rid of those big exhaust cans. Do a single side exhaust or mini slips ons. Easily drop 30 pounds I would guess. Get rid of the rev limiter for sure. More under there to be had from that motor. They also have a lot of accessories and custom part for Busa’s. Can make it your own ride for sure. I love them
I've owned a Ninja 600 and a kawi ninja 750 and I've always wanted a Kawasaki ZX-14 ABS.Though its alot of money and I have the oppurtunity to get a 2013 Daytona yellow/Black Suzuki Hayabusa limited in a good deal.I like the crazy bubble big bike look of the Suzuki Hayabusa and it looks fun and performs great.Carlyle is very excited about the Hayabusa which is Great.I get excited when I drive and own a good Bike also.
I’ve now owned my 09 Busa for 4 years having previously owned Daytona’s and Blackbirds it is possibly the best bike I’ve ever ridden..
I have now owned 5 of these beasts, and am seriously considering a sixth. Darned things are addictive...
Dude, you killed this video... Great job.
Wish to ride Hayabusa in Tbilisi streets someday in my life
If you want to see how fast the Hayabusa really is, check out 03:30. Nuff said...
It's fast, but I still prefer the corner carving nibleness of the GSX-R1000 over the big Bus. Especially the 2005/2006 model.
Jay Shakur The Hayabusa is pretty nimble in the right hands. I'll do a video.
Could i get this as a first bike if i kept it in mode c for the first 2-3 months and mode b for another 1-2 months after that?
pbbeast No way. It's too heavy and expensive. Many new riders drop their bikes. I don't even know if I could lift this thing. Also, when you mess up and the bike starts to fall, it's nice to have a light bike so you can brace it up and save it. Unless you are super strong, if this bike starts to fall, you going down.
Also being human, trusting yourself to use it in mode C is not advisable. That one time you decide to be brave, might be your last. Most experienced riders can't even handle this bike. Not that it's hard to ride in a STRAIGHT line, but if you need to swerve and stop fast, you need some good skills.
Carlyle's Picks i only weigh 95 pounds so i doubt there a bike i can lift
ABS will actually make your stopping distance longer when it activates. All it does is keep the wheels from locking up. More confidence and stability sure but technically you get less stopping power.
+Joe Spano Theoretically what you are saying is correct, but only if done by virtuoso rider. Abs will save your ass by preventing you kissing the tarmac long before stopping distance becomes the problem. And i talk from my own experience here when i locked the brakes when idiot in Yaris pulled in front of my Busa(pre ABS) from minor road. So i decided that i need technological aids on the bike for those extreme occasions.
Got ZZR1400 and am absolutely astonished how brilliant and polished it is comparing to Busa. Not to mention very noticeable power advantage
rolandsv8 Well of course, that's what it's for. It keeps the wheels from locking up so you can still maneuver however you need. I had a fun experience on my zx10r when a lady in a civic pulled in front of me. I locked the brakes up and luckily was able to drift around her car (would've have been an issue if I had abs). She didn't even know what she did. But my comment was referring to this guy saying something along the lines of "this bikes equipped with abs so it's got massive stopping power". It just gets under my skin a little (as I'm a mechanic) when people who don't understand how a system works makes comments like they do. Glad you didn't end up worse from your wreck. Ride safe brother.
Btw I'm glad you came to the dark Kawi side! Welcome! Lol
+Joe Spano Yea, maybe you can drift on zx10, but Busa without ABS just drops like a brick
+Joe Spano I am ecstatic. Busa was a marvellous bike for it's time. But now it's an obsolete 17 year old dinosaur. Still with lots of charisma, of course.
Bro that was a bad ass review! Never even really cared to look into this bike because of it's size but man you got me interested!
I thought this was just for squids who want to show off and have the fastest bike, but even though that CAN be true, does not change the fact it's AWESOME for the distance sports rider like me!
@@yourfastlife Does it produce unbearable heat specially in traffic? Thanks and rs..
Awesome freaking review man... Should shoot top gear an email saying that they need to hire you for bike :D
LOL, I'm not selling out any time soon. They work for the advertisers while I work for you! I don't have to say a bike is great for fear that I won't get one to review next time. I'm in nobody's pocket. Top Gear? I don't know but I do know pissing off Lamborghini or Ferrari would be bad for business. For me it won't matter. :D
Bah... have you seen Jeremy bash on cars? :D
Seth Alton like which?
Superb bike. Your vid convinced me to buy one. 😀
Thoughts on it after all this time, mate ?
@@blakeh5318 only had mine for a year - rode it every day but had an accident and lost the bike. No issues with the bike at all other than being overkill as a commuter. Have owned a VFR800 since then which is a more general purpose bike.
Really like the new busa and may own one some day.
Hi, i’m thinking about getting the haya 2014, usually i do long trips, have you registered the mileage ? At some of my trips i had a gap of 270 miles between gas stations.
The Hayabusa is a nimble bike.On the road in the real world there wont be much difference if any between this machine and a 1000cc bike.Especially in the right hands.
This bike as mentioned in this video is a sportsbike,a tourer,a cruiser and much more.
A 1000cc is a trackbike plain and simple. Most of us ride on the road only.
If you've only ever ridden 600cc-1000cc sportbikes and have "certain impressions" of what this MIGHT be like to own/ride then try one....you'll be amazed!!!
You have got it!! This is my main channel BTW. Glad you like the video and you get it!
Here I am planning to get one for my first bike
I've seen this review before and it was only informative.... till i booked my own 2017 busa.....seen this review and seeing back many times to appreciate the experience of the bike 🤣
Hey man great review, how tall are you?
Love the Busa in white bro and those Brembos siiicckkk.. mine is a 2011 so unfortunately they didn't have the Brembo brakes yet.. are you going to Busa Stampede this year?
I can't imagine not having the brembos because you need every inch of those brembos..
Always have cruisers and this is My first street bike 2013 hayabusa and wow ... my friends said it drives like Mercedes compare to theirs
Great Review Sir!! Awesome bike, awesome explanations and information.
Thank you man!
You got it!
I love mi hayabusa 2017 whit 100 shot nitros uffff I love it
How do you take the fairing off?
Rode this bike, the 2010 model. Perfectly agree with your thoughts. Will make a video. :)

What's with the douce 700vids thing in the beginning
love the hayabusa !!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome video❗️
Curry_Nation OK, so let me see if I follow you. You think a goose rides like a high performance luxury car with a solid and plush ride? If not, why would you say i'ts the same difference?
This bike, like the cars mentioned share similar characteristics. Quiet, comfortable and stable.
Why compare it to a car? Because it rides like no other bike I have ridden and therefore it was a closer match to use a car when speaking SPECIFICALLY about the traits in question (the ride). I even find it more comfortable than the Aprilia Caponord which is a touring bike.
I have a question. I'm a future biker and I'm curious to know why and if this is really a bad bike to start off with. I understand the massive power, also a limited 186mph on two wheels is no laughing matter but say I got it anyway what would be some good advice to tame it better and quicker?
sant1to I'm a very new biker and I'm frankly afraid of these large bikes. I'm riding a 600cc. It depends on you as a rider of course but I asked myself the same question and decided it's best to learn for a few years on a CBF600 (cheap to buy, to fix and insure) and then upgrade, rather than jumping on an expensive 1300cc straightaway. Only with experience can you learn to control the kind of power these things have. As a beginner, the temptation to open the throttle can be too great..
sant1to
Stop by and ill show you how.I started on a Hayabusa. Its powerful but it can be done. And i haven't been down at all.
sant1to A smaller bike is like a pair of inline skates compared to a skate board. The skates are more integral to your body and easier to control instinctively. A skateboard takes a little more practice to be truly skillfull enough to do all the tricks. A smaller bike has a lot of performance potential; a good rider masters basic control and then tests the performance limits of that particular size. My first new bike was a Suzuki 550 and handled like a dream. My Busa handles like the 550 but is much heavier. I still haven't run the Busa to redline yet and I've got 40 years of experience. I wish I still had the 550 because I could take it to the limit. You could learn on a Busa but why bother? It's really more fun to go in stages. I went 350cc,550cc,700cc,750cc,1100cc,1340cc and they were all fast and fun.
I did not want to waste time and money buying bikes i did not want .I am so glad i did too
Was that Huntington Beach!?
That was a good video. Even liked the music 🎶
Great job on this. I'd like something weight wise between a middleweight and this bike. I just don't want to deal with the kind of weight, even if it hides it well for the most part. I just did 1000 mile trip on my Gladius with added windscreen, and my major complaint comfort wise is the seat. It's a total man-parts muncher. For my next bike I'd like something that has an integrated luggage option and reasonable passenger accommodations. Right now the closet thing to that ideal I've found for myself is the new BMW R 1200 R. Although I'm no BMW fan, this bike for me would be an exception from what I know of it. I'm hoping more bikes that fit me needs are introduced for the 2016 model year, because right now the R 1200 R stands alone in that regard.
Gotta get a good seat for sure!
name the song at 0:49
ITS THE FIRST bs PEOPLE SAY. ITS NOT A BEGINNERS BIKE. BUT IT IS!
Nice review on the bike. Very informative and well done. HAYA HAYA HAYA BUSA lol.
LOL, thanks! More reviews on my main channel Carlyle's Picks! Sub there too!
Great video 👍🏾
Where did you make this video? I wanna live here with my Hayabusa K12 :D
Mostly near Huntington Beach California. Make sure you subscribe BTW. My next video is gonna be a big deal for all riders around the world. Everyone needs to see it AND it will feature some of the sweetest shots I've taken on the Busa and other bikes like the MV Agusta
Your Fast Life! Did you adopt me? :D
was this ridden from huntington beach to vegas?
Beverly hills to Vegas. Well started on Daytona then swapped
Ok how about fuel consumption?
What is a good beginner bike
Hell yeah! Mode C at 1500 RPMs going 20MPH...all beginner baby! Until the corner comes up!
Sorry! I'm so busy preparing for the Ninja H2 launch on 9/30. I did not read your comment properly. I recommend:
Ninja 250R HANDS DOWN!
Ninja 300 if you have money to waste when you possible drop it.
The 300 is nice but I'm only 15 so i think i have to be like 18 to get one .
Angelo Lopez If you're restricted to 125cc, like me, you can get a YZF R-125 if you have the funds, they're excellent. However if you don't have much money to spend and still want a beautiful bike, I'd say (in my opinion) get a Hyosung GT125R. I have on myself, although the non ''R'' model (naked) and I love it. It's physical size is like a 400cc+ bike. It's one of the biggest 125cc's out there. After riding my 2007 Hyosung GT 125, I sat on a z750 and it felt smaller! These Hyosungs after 2007/2008 are not too shabby mechanically wise either if you take care of them (just like any other bike).
Angelo Lopez If you plan on upgrading i'd say get a (older) Ninja 250 and then move up.
i like the performance but the body not so much
how bad of a idea is it for a beginner to get a hayabusa? lol (some dirt bike experience)
You remember that little girl that fired the uzi?
yeah. so im guess really bad lol
+Henry Silvagnoli yep
I was wondering how tall you were?
6 feet
is this mojo grip sounds like him, yes the plane guy.
Dude you could sell ice to an eskimo..........fab video.
I want this as my first bike! :3
pass that white bmw again..or red lexus...i think i missed it. love the info and the bike, but editing 2 min of riding time over n over was killing me lol.
wow didn't know they were still making these
No updates from this channel
Mercedes AMG or a top of the line Bentley, seriously? This is the BUGATTI or a TOP of the line Lambo or Ferrari of Motorcycles, along side with Kawasaki ZX-14
BroScienceLabsCorporation Not when it's so slow. 1000cc bikes can go faster than Busa. That is not Bugatti status. This bike is also cheap and dated.
The Bugatti is the H2R and H2. Comfortable, fast, next generation tech and expensive.
Your Fast Life! how is going around 2.7 from 0-60 slow, are you serious? Hayabusa is still one of the fastest bikes around. The reason I'am comparing it to Bugatti of motorcycles is because of how BIG while being fast, something the new H2 lacks, is the SIZE. I have looked up the H2 stats, but haven't really found any official stats. The design of H2 looks hideous, and it looks so small to.
When u park it u will now feel the weight of the bike moving it around in tight spots
good point. Fun on sidewalks
My yet to be.. Bike Hayabusa 2015.
I know you can't wait! Check out my other channel too. Carlyle's Picks. I do more reviews there. 16,000 subs so far and counting. A lot of hard work! :D
Great reviews thanks this I will let my wife see 👍🏍🏍🏍😊
Excuse me it's not a beginner bike, damn
Damn skippy! LOL
Ok. It's Revs Per Minute. Not Revs Per Minutes. So RPM, Not RPM's.
If I were to compare it with a car..... why mate? it's a motorcycle and it's supposed to be a motorcycle review, why not compare it to a goose? it's the same difference.
Love and like for hayabusa
Máquina fantástica.
dude u sold it XD
I'M sold!! :D
who want this as your first bike lol????
ɥsɐʞɐ ɾd An idiot. lol
Your Fast Life! Bought as my first bike because of this video. I've had it for 5 months now. If you respect this bike it will respect you. Buuuuut. If you forget even for a second what your on. It will remind you very quickly. Also I'm 6'3 300lbs. But love this review! Mines a 2017!
Fucking bollocks a haybusa doesn't screen wind especially around shoulder head area unless you are 5 foot 2 inches. Other wise duck like fuck and do 120 to get out of wind. After an hour of 80+ younwill be fucked. This is marginally better than a gsxr1000
*cough* Kawasaki ninja H2r
+dana rivera lol
Busa is the best
Terrible audio quality on this review.
+Uriah Schoenwald Why you think so? Nobody else said that.
+Your Fast Life!
Listen to the audio starting at 2:50 and give it 20 to 30 seconds and you will hear what I am talking about not a criticism of your presentation just of your hardware or initial setup.
Uriah Schoenwald Oh I think you mean the mic noises. I did not isolate enough from my jacket. Sorry about that.
Make sure to check out my Yamaha R1M review. Just went up.
I had my knee down a few times. Dull as shit
Black guy on a gixxer not suprised
I'm not black

mrsuperbuckets WRONG! Twas the night before Christmas and not a creature was stiring. You were close though.
