I went with the Mishimoto catch can. Doesn't require cutting and works with the ets intake. Plus it uses nicer molded hoses instead of the straight bulk hose.
I recently installed a Mishimoto single catch can on the PCV valve side of my '22 WRX. From what I read having a can on the CCV side is pretty much overkill on a stock or lightly modified car but maybe you plan to get radical with your car latter- IDK. It was a bigger job than I anticipated. Very tight space to work in and anything that can get in the way does. I'm glad I didn't have to do the CCV part of the job. That looks a lot more involved than I'd want to get into. I'll be watching to see how much vapor oil you collect in one can versus the other - I hope you do a follow up video to show us this.

Thank you, video was a big help….just got them installed, was also confused on which fittings go with which can and which hose size for which system but figured it out.
No clamps are required for the barbed fittings that go into the can. (They're are very tough to get on all the way and pretty much impossible to remove once installed without cutting the hose.
@@StreetInspired1 good to know, thanks for this info. Also, great job on the videos. Have you considered a video about dropping the oil pan and checking for RTV in the oil pickup? Or, have you thought about making a video on how to properly bleed brakes for upgraded fluid on the 22+ WRX?
So if the can gets full enough to trigger the fluid-lock, the crankcase can no longer vent its pressure? At all? Or is there a bypass that'll allow it to vent into the intake?

Any reason to pull off and replace the hoses? They are nearly impossible get off the barbed fittings with a razor blade down length of fitting and doing this all again sounds like a nightmare. Thanks

Question is in areas where we get cold temps what’s your opinion with condensation in the catch cans. One reason y i like aos from iag however their not making a system for the vb chassis yet
Even if condensation makes its way into the can it will get trapped and won't get out. Here in Pennsylvania it gets pretty cold for like 6 months of the year. I had to cut out a little section of the heatshield for the PCV catch can for it to fit. I also have a Perrin charge pipe, and the CCV catch can is a little tricky to get the fitment. Make sure you watch the length of the hose, cause the angle at which it runs over the charge pipe will pull against the charge pipe making it touch part of the block if youre not careful. Other than that, it does fit fine. Also make sure you pay attention to the fact that he was leaving the fan out for the video, but you have to install the fan before the catch can.
