Thanks, that one did seem to go on smoother but I struggled around the door handle area for a while. I always end up with so much footage I have to really condense it down, but it does seem to be getting a tiny bit easier lol.

Check out JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) for removing all of those nasty #3 Phillips head screws. There is a little difference in how the JIS bit fits the screw heads. had to learn the hard way. Like the videos! 👍

About the #3 Phillips head bits on, I think episode 49. You do know that the screws heads on the Samurai are designed for the use with JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) bits? There is a little bit of difference with JIS as opposed to the U.S. standard. Just wanted to pass along, because I didn’t know until about a year after I got my Samurai and stripped out about half the screws. Welcome to the club! 👍

I've heard that but I don't have a problem with them gripping most of the time, my prob is with the #3 bits breaking, so I got impact rated ones and the first one lasted 1 week, better than the others lol. I'm sure if I had a JIS impact rated one it would apply pressure more evenly and prob wouldn't break. Maybe I'll look online next time I order something. Thanks!

I think you should keep the B-pillars grey.

I was kinda thinking that too after looking at the thumbnail pics. Plus it'd be less work since it's already done.

Not worried about wrapping over bare metal? I would personally paint both sides of those door hinges . Looking good though

I wasn't too worried because of the adhesive layer, but now that you mention it, it must be at least a tiny bit permeable for that air release technology to work. Yeah, probably not good. Thanks for mentioning that.

    Hi,
You could try adding a couple of small pieces of Dodo mat to the inside of the door panels, the Dodo should help reduce the resonance of the door actuators?
    Link to dodo mat below.

I managed to start up my SJ410 for the 1st time in 2 years the other day, I barely turned the key and she started! Major milestone on the rebuild and plenty of smiles 😊
You're doing a great job, keep it up!

Oh man, that's awesome! Congratulations! Yes you're right. We have something I used to use at the stereo shop called Dynamat, it's real easy to install.

Yes, that's the same stuff, it will help to mute the sound of the actuators.

You can, I have, they don't taste great usually. Depends what they eat. My buddy got one out of an apple orchard one time and said it was really good.
