    Man, I have to give you big thumbs up.
    With or without the proper tools, you got the job well done. You also takled the worst part to work on, thats the underside. Cleaned, degreased and painted. Well done. Keep up the nice work, with hight spirit and perserverance. Cheers

      @@LuisGarcia-wt2kp Thanks very much, I've got several more days into the underside since filming that, I basically only have the front end left 🤞

      @@BorisEkner Thanks, I wish I could have retrieved the footage from my other phone cuz I had an angle from the front where Wayne was pulling on the strap. It took just enough weight off so that my other mistakes didn't make me have to abandon ship and start over lol.

    Thanks for the videos, could not have done the same job as easily without them! Not feeling confident enough to remove the pilot bearing with your technique, I made a trip to AutoZone ready to buy a pilot bearing puller, but guess what, they rent them for free! Here's the kicker, when I removed the clutch plate, the pilot bearing was not there!! Perhaps my clutch problem in the first place. Thanks again for the videos.

      @@JohnPompa No way! There was no pilot bearing!?!? Any chance it was stuck on the input shaft of the transmission?

      @@SkaterWalsien-mp2uh Hey thank you. That's great, they are such fun little project vehicles. I've ordered everything online also, just happy parts are available and not too pricey. You don't really see it much but what a perfect vehicle to tow behind an RV, see alot of Jeeps but rarely a Sammy. Hey thanks for the comment!

      @@BorisEkner Thanks, but I can't take any credit for that, people been doing the bread or grease hack for ages. I had to combine em because I couldn't get it full of grease without an air bubble. I tried forever off camera to get it grease only with no air but it just wasn't having it. Soon as I added the bread it decided to cooperate lol.

    The 5th gear switch disables the EGR valve, part of the emission system. Physically interchangeable with the reverse switch but plugs are different so you can't plug in wrong. You could splice wires to make work.

    Mine makes the same noise when I let the clutch out and the previous owner just replaced the same stuff from this video so I've just decided to tell myself that's a normal sound. It's the Samurai purring to let you know its ready to roll!

    WOW - I have really enjoyed watching your Samurai's transition! I wanted to ask when you were adding the Toyota 3K carb (but it was already completed) - did you ever contemplate running the stud up through the top cover of your weber air filter box? I was thinking that would have been a great modification to reduce the chances of dropping the wingnut into the intake would have allowed you to remove the air box as a unit as well. The top cover may have needed "stiffening" - like a large fender washer (or something) jb-welded on the inside to stiffen it up (unsure as mine came with the original carb) You (and your videos) have inspired me to tackle a lot of upcoming work on my Samurai and GREATLY appreciate your sharing!!! I hope you get to enjoy it some more before it sells...

      @@lorenkloft836 Dang that's a terrific idea. I wish I would have thought of that. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work and I see several advantages. That's really good thinking, and the top is prob stiff enough that a washer and wing nut would work great. So happy to hear you're inspired to work on yours! Thanks for the awesome comment!

    lookin gr8, dang what a storm better watch out the aliens will take u away, the only thing i got out of this is the trans must weigh 5lbs lol or your an undercover arnald.

      @@numbskullskills I really want to see an alien so it'll never happen lol. I bet it weighs 50 or 60 lbs, it's just awkward. It helped having Wayne pull on the strap, unfortunately that footage is still locked inside my phone with a dead screen. I couldn't believe I didn't have to fight it very much to get the input shaft to go in, just jiggled it a bunch and it went in. What really sucked was I put that spacer plate on the trans because it has those dowels, then it wouldn't fit over the flywheel so I had to hold it up with 1 hand and pry the spacer off and relocate it with the other hand. All in all it went well and was a nice waste of money (only like $70) but at least with it out I was able to fix the reverse lights and undercoat the tunnel.

      @@FixLife119 yeah a buddy pulling on it helped a lot. So the noice is still there? Couldn't really tell from the video. Yeah I look for the flyen critters or really anything out of whack an ain't seen crap, maybe one day

      @FixLife119  Місяць тому

      @@numbskullskills Yeah, it's not quite as loud but I'm wondering if it was just out of adjustment. I'm gonna be mad at myself if that's the case. Although the manual shows a picture of a bad one with grooves in it like mine so maybe it wasn't a waste. I easily could have sold it like that though, just don't want whoever buys it to have issues.
