Hey Locohol, been a while haha! Sorry this craft was so painful. A few things that might help make it less painful in the future: 1) Unless you absolutely need a scepter base for whatever you are doing (i.e. heist scepter for example), you're much better off getting this on a wand because wands cannot roll a bunch of the prefixes. An 82 or below wand for example, would get you +1 all in avg 8 tries using a 3-socket resonator, significantly cutting your costs. The downside here is no T1 cast speed so if you want that, it jumps to 19 tries for 3-socket. 2) Definitely bench an additional prefix when you multi-mod to move the odds from 2 in 3 to 3 in 4 for success. 3) If the fractured bases aren't prohibitively expensive, I like to buy ~4 of them when I do this craft if going with alt spam. Line them up in a tab and put "all spell skill" in the keyword search. Now just alt spam them in an assembly line manner as fast as you can (don't bother with augments). You don't need to read any of them, you are only looking for the box highlight to come up before checking. Having at least 4 of them guarantees you won't accidentally roll over one. When you are done, just sell the other 3 back if you don't want to make more.
I honestly wish there was a way to have the game stop all clicks once you roll the mod you want. Kind of like how it stops when you 6-link an item. Alt-spam is pure pain and boredom.

I want a stash I can put in a stack and have it auto-roll for a designate mod. Make it something you unlock after completing the atlas or something or even all non-uber bosses.@@SuperCatacata
SW Totem is one of my favourite playstyles. For someone like me who doesn't know much about crafting I really like your vids. It does go a bit fast for me every now and again but I understand that for others the crafting terminology is very easy to understand. Very often I have to rewind back a little to understand what has changed. Thank you for suffering through this craft so I don't have to. 😉
At 5:01 and the following attempts using multimod, you might as well bench craft a 2nd prefix to lower the odds of removing the +1 spell gems to 1/4 instead of 1/3
That wouldn't help since hitting the crafted mod doesn't do anything, you'd just have to try another annul until you hit one of the two mods that ends the craft, either the trash prefix in which case you move on or the all spell in which case you redo the fossils/Alt spam.

Thank you for this guide on how to delete currency. I usually just put divines on my cursor and click on any open space in my hideout and hit enter to confirm... but this works too :)
great vid, basically the exact steps i did except i enjoy cbt so i alt spammed my +1 all spell skill gems :) actually wasn't as bad as alt spamming +1 all for amulets though quick note, i believe that when augmenting physical spell skill gems, you can craft an additional prefix to decrease the chance of it removing the all spell skill gems from 1/3 to 1/4
this is my story, was crafting +2 amulet recently, it was exactly like this, burned 20 extra divines on those. Except I had easier time on veils, because I needed veiled suffix, so I just multimod, crafted any prefix and lock prefixes. Also, I was altspam my +1 all, it was 4900 alts :-) Thank you for sharing your suffering with us

i crafted similar wand yesterday. Spent 15 div for fossils so i switched to alteration orbs and hit +1 all after 40 alterations :D This is the best method, you dont need to annul so much
So all i have to say is great work sir, just did your shield and weap craft and i really like the way you make you videos, since i dont have your knowledge, i bow to it and i raise my glass to you good sir, please keep it up, if your interested, i got the shield 50/50 twice in a row and had to move to your fossil strat on the sceptre but rocked it first roll, guess having a good teacher and beginners luck pays off, but the credit is all yours, :)

you should really factor in time, when looking for the "cheapest" method. for example, one divine = 2.100 alterations. so if you generate 5 divines of profit per hour by farming, that equals 10.500 alterations per hour or 2,9 alterations per second. so unless you can use augments instead of alts within 1/2,9 seconds per click you are not saving anything by using them instead of just continue rolling with alterations
This becomes a lot easier if you didn't have the fractured suffix. Once you have +1 spells prefix and at least 1 open prefix, you can multimod + cannot roll attack + prefixes cannot be changed, then reforge phys and that should guarantee +1 phys spells prefix. Downside is that it potentially fills your suffixes, but it potentially is cheaper in the long run because you don't have to keep doing aug phys 50/50s. Since it's more consistent too, you can probably just sell any failures that fill up all suffixes
Ashling is always better since Ashling can give you "safe" pre-mirror tier scepter. Even if you have 1 pref open - Ashling is best choice 1) You can hit spell damage and non chaos as chaos - best hit ,no doubt. You also can hit as prefix cold damage+chance to freeze probably and thats not bad too 2) as a suffix you can hit double damage,and the lock pref and gamble with rem-add crit or rem-add caster. Like veiled prefix is best option since suffixes is much more easy to finish.
^^ I crafted this myself a few days ago, hit the mod after 1k alts and forget that you can only imprint on a magic item... upgraded it and the mod was gone, continued spamming 8 div in alts on it. In the end I got a pretty good one with +2, crafted cast speed and crit multi and the veiled % spell dmg and phys dmg as extra chaos

just fyi when you do crafted 3 mods and cannot roll attack you should also craft a prefix this will reduce the chance of hitting +1 all from 50% to 33%

I might be missing something if the hardest part of this is the plus 1 all why not just buy that fracture. You easily spent 10-15 divs to get that lol.
I really hope PoE2 learns a thing or two about crafting from Last Epoch. Best crafting in any ARPG ever, still RNG but enough determinism to not be stupid.

Hadn't thought of using a sceptre for this build, I've been running a wand myself and it's working great, much better implicit one the sceptre though, given me food for thought, though this looked like pain to craft.
not sure what mod u wanna get via aisling(i guess u want veiled prefix), there a point related to that when u aisling it now, veiled mod will show suffix or prefix immediatelly not like before
happened to me the other day. after 3k alterations i finally hit +1 (was making a hexblast wand with crit chance fracture) then i lost the one in 3 harvest aug. i closed the game and took a 3day break. i shouldve crafted one more thing to reduce chances of losing +1 to 25% instead of 33%. i also shouldve just used fossils because spamming alts ruined my soul and enthusiasm to play the game.
i did this for my +2 dagger about a week into the league and it took over 3k alteration's that was a fun day... i cannot imagine the pain 12k would cause me
Like you mentioned in the video, there is a huge opportunity cost of spending time spamming alterations. Just start with the +1 fracture so you get back to currency farming much faster to significantly outweigh the upfront costs of the fracture. The method he chose makes for a better video though. 😂

A magic item can only have one prefix and/or suffix. I assume you're talking about the part where I had the +2? Those are both prefixes so it can't be magic :) otherwise that still holds true!

A small hint for augument phys in the future, craft another prefix before. Makes it 25% chance to not hit and you can clean it for free afterwards

I did a similar craft for +2 wand cf kb this league and it took me 14 aislings to finish it and 5 to even get a prefix
how would you continue the craft if you hit a spelldam+phys as chaos? do you have to just spam aug crit at this point?

Buy fract +1 all spell, roll With misery essence till t1 global crit mult, and open suff for cannot roll attack, aug phys.
Thats why i always buy the finished product.. if self craft mayb if u lucky u save about 10ish div… or if u not lucky end up waste 40+ div

only annul respects caster roll, any other craft (harvest, currency, aisling) will not respect it and roll over it.

Last league I was trying to hit 1 in 3 mod with Harvest's add/remove and it took me 22 tries for 11 div each... crafting is just fun sometimes

Nah that's local physical damage which only applies to the weapon and attacks made with the weapon :( if that makes sense?
