Essentially using Forbidden Taste to regain all your health, which is immediately burned to supply you with energy shield. I tried my best in PoB, but my skills are clearly tiny compared to the people who come up with these builds.
Sucks that characters like this can’t be HotGM viable since the exiles there can’t use flasks.. otherwise they could make the reward for completion a mirror every time
This was one of my favorite videos of yours so far. I like your analysis of mechanics, but summarizing that kind of information with the context of it being used on a GG character is next level. More of this please!
The coolest part is remembering when 75% ele res was the defensive cap, but in true poe fashion, people always find ways to break the cap. For the longest time 90% was seen as breaking the cap, but now, with all these extra mechanics, it's effectively 99% dr, and also in true poe fashion, the character still died.
A follow up on the offensive scaling would also complement this video nicely. Reap is insane with overlaps with awakened spell cascade, the fact that we get all damage to chaos with enemies chaos res set to 0 and we can inflict lots of wither PLUS use void maniuplation is quite nice also.
I think this build in general shows the real power of tools like OS. Since you no longer have to worry about reducing/penetrating resists you win alot of affixes and gem sockets on gear aswell as freeing up passive points. It's expensive to get going but let's you spec way harder into defence than other builds could while maintaining a high base level offence. TL:DR Original sins is arguably part of the defence since it carries so much of the offence that you can even focus that hard on defences in the first place.
I liked this for sure. Would love to see more. Would also enjoy if you highlighted opportunities to improve or places you could easily trade a little tank for damage or vice versa.

The last part is what’s stopped me from pulling the trigger on playing these builds. There have been so many insanely strong builds these last few leagues that rely on perma flasks w/o MB whether it’s low life with coruscating elixir or something like this build with triple ele flasks. Though it’s most probably not impactful at all outside delve since most map rares die instantly. Honestly not sure why I care so much since I’m a softcore andy😅
They can have perma flask up so... why not. Mageblood is just a chase item. You don't need it. You just want it. You can kill all bosses and even ubers with 2k EHP. And you can kill them with 3M DPS. Attempting both at the same time, though, is not advised.
yeah thats cool and everyting but its kinda out of reach for most players. the flask alone is like 250-300div (there isnt even one for sell offline atm) even without it, its still like 60-80div or somehting for the 90max /amu setup. sucks to be poor :3
Ah I see, so he didn't go loreweave + eternal damnation + trascendence to give the slot to the new Defiance of Destiny amulet. I thought you'd get tankier with said combo, but apparently that has been topped. Although probably phys damage is more dangerous with this setup.
I think that builds like this with such a massive, character deleting weakness aren't as strong as people let on. While this is a really cool build, it's important people realise just how much weakness is built into the build by going all in on flasks - the issue with the rare mob is not exclusive to this build, it is the result of GGG introducing nemesis mods to ensure we cannot rely on a single mechanic for both offensive and defensive scaling, and to punish exclusive scaling buckets. Good examples are the combined resistance/ailment rares, flask consumption etc. Having to play paranoid sucks, You literally cant afford to not check a single rare, ever (except in non-rewarding levels of content). For softcore of course this point still stands, but is less relevant as you can just take a portal and tell nobody :P

At the beginning of the video it's the Trial of the Ancestors OST
Petrified Blood works even when you're not half health
The damage prevention mechanic from PB only functions for the bottom half of life
Just log out! Hah, nice video
Attempting both at the same time, though, is not advised.
yeah thats cool and everyting but its kinda out of reach for most players. the flask alone is like 250-300div (there isnt even one for sell offline atm)
even without it, its still like 60-80div or somehting for the 90max /amu setup.
sucks to be poor :3
Name song plz,bro !
Is this still functional in 3.23 ?
Ah I see, so he didn't go loreweave + eternal damnation + trascendence to give the slot to the new Defiance of Destiny amulet.
I thought you'd get tankier with said combo, but apparently that has been topped.
Although probably phys damage is more dangerous with this setup.
huh; always thought Makungas needed the adjacents ALLOCATED
Yeah the wording could probably be better, but they just require a max of one connection
Friendly reminded for you guy, this character still die-able.
What a preposterous amount of tank!
I'm going to try to alter this build for 3.25 wish me luck.
ah can't beat the good olde rare mobs 😭
There's something you miss too, Aspect of Ben.
Turning on this Aspect gives you the powers of Ben as well.
insane tank
I like the breakdown, but to be honest that build is expensive as fuck
