- With remote work becoming more popular some countries have been released nomadic work visas allowing non citizens to work remotely in their countries. I was curious to find out more so I did a little digging and here is what I learned! Have you ever been on a nomadic work visa?

Thank you for being here & Toodaloo for now,

Having worked remote ensure your employer clearly understands. I left Canada for the UK with 2 months left on a teaching contract supervising students. I logged into my Canadian college website to input data and created a IT “emergency “. Their system saw me as a hacker. My department had no idea that my new IP would set off alarm bells. Just a heads up.
That's normal in Canada. The smallest thing sets off alarm bells creating havoc and panic, all while major issues receive band-aid solutions or get completely ignored all together.
Wouldn't a VPN be a help by allowing you to spoof that you were still in Canada while physically being literally anywhere else on earth?
@@warringtonminge4167 I don’t think so. But I am not an IT pro. The college was missing a licensing agreement for an out of country remote workers. It was an easy fix-minor cost. They had loads of remote instructors. I was the first out of country. Simple fix and we carried on.
@@warringtonminge4167that's what I was thinking. If they're that strict on IP addresses, looks like they would have you login through one automatically.
Always use a VPN and set it for your home state 😂😂
I live in a different coutnry every 1-3 months. I applied and got digital nomad visa for Portugal and Romania, but then Romania joined Schengen, so it no longer counts for time out of the EU. So now I live in Egypt 3 months, and became a permanent resident of Dubai. My years now seem to be 1-3 months in Mexico, 3-6 months in Colombia, 3 months in EU, 3 months in Egypt, and 3-6 months in Dubai. I know that adds up to way more than 1 year. It's like a 3 year migration arc.
Are you a serial killer by any chance?
Funny, I watched Emily in Paris and told my husband we are going to Rome for our 30th Anniversary!! We have a few years to save. But now we can see about living there. Thanks for doing this
The food in Iceland (especially eating out!) is ridiculously expensive.
schengen is a village in luxemburg (on the border to france and germany). gave its name to the schengen-contract = no more border controls between membership countries
@loewhaley if you’re part-Italian, you qualify for citizenship by descent
Congratulations!
With Anazon bringing everyone back into the office will the metling of GenZ accelerate?
the monthly mandatory incomes are wilddd
Remote work visas? 😂😂😂😂 no no. As far as that government is concerned I’m a tourist with a laptop
I live in Thailand, expect a monthly budget of 1500 to 2000 to live ok, or 3000 to live well. Only major issue is every changing exchange rates.😅
South Africa? Uruguay, Paraguay?
Getting the Japanese visa was a PAIN IN THE ASS. It was NOT easy and you need so many documents, it's ridiculous.
I bounce back and forth between US states and spend minimal time in my "work state." Do I tell my employer? Nope. It is easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission. Sides', my boss is a meddling micromanaging boob.
And what about taxes?
Will “dancers” need a twerk visa?
Other countries don't want non-citizens living and medicating off of their systems.
