ua-cam.com/video/ALaLHNaeHMk/v-deo.htmlsi=tXFD1udTmhN4UShe hey guys! I made it! Thank you for your recommendation
thanks!
This is very slow in my pc, can someone say why is it ?
When I edited the midi file on software on those time I got sound but after render or export it I didn’t get sound.
In this case, you'll need to render the sound in your midi file software, so you have a .mp3 or a .wav file. This file you can then add in PianoVFX and you will then get a video file with sound. Alternatively, you can use a video editor like DaVinci Resolve and add the audio to the video afterward.
Is there any way to prevent overlapping notes from blending in with each other. Is there also any way to individually color any notes
I think the overlapping might be caused by having multiple MIDI channels / Instruments in the MIDI file. To color them differently, you can add a second color profile (like i've shown in the video with the first one), and drag it into slot two. Let me know if it worked ;)
Is there a way to change the default piano vst? I have the audio of the midi in a different piano vst, however, the audio is not synced with the video… (I’ve tried importing the audio and syncing with davinci resolve).
I assume you mean that one of them is playing back at a different speed than the other, so that you can't align it, right? If so, that's likely related to the tempo embedded in the MIDI file. Make sure, that your MIDI file has a tempo embedded into it, and that you use that tempo when rending it with your piano VST. Piano VFX will automatically use that tempo too, to render the video. Hope that helps :)
when i try yo render it, the app just crashes.
Is there a reason why this might be happening?
Hard to say why that happens. You could try updating the driver of your GPU, or deactivate your GPU and try rendering it with your CPU entirely.
Mine is only recording 1 minute. How do I change?
Do you mean the visualizer is only rendering for a minuite? If so, check your MIDI file in a DAW (like Reaper) if it is actually the length you want it.
@@Klangio mine too is recording only 1 minute, even if the midi is 5 min, in fact when I just try the Edit button it plays full loenght, but renders only 1 minute
how do you record your piano to make the file that you put in vfx
Personally, I simply record my piano with my smartphone and then use Piano2Notes to turn it into MIDI
@@Klangio how does it know what notes you pressed?
AI magic ;)
after rendering the video i am getting a video without the audio that is a muted video. How to rectify it?
You can add an audio track in the main menu under the "audio" section. Alternatively, you can also use a video editor like Davinci Resolve (which is for free) to add in the audio afterward.
Hello im really need this program. Is it possible to change the position of the midi piano
Hey, I'm not sure what exactly you mean... Shifting the pitch of the notes up or down or cropping the video?
@@Klangio I mean the piano can i move so its in the middle?
Still not sure what you mean, but try opening the MIDI file in a DAW and shifting all the MIDI notes down or up by some semitones. Export the track as a new MIDI file then. Alternatively you can edit the video with DaVinci Resolve or other video Editors, to position the piano differently. You can check out the last section of this video for that: ua-cam.com/video/_j7f1qxh8BE/v-deo.html
@@Klangio I mean resize the piano if i want it to be smaller. Sorry for not beeing able to explain it well
I am connected to my keyboard via USB... Where can I find the recording path?
You can select the MIDI Path in the main menu, in the "MIDI Recorder" section.
When I start the render, it just makes my laptop go extremely slow and lags. It never finishes.
Ty for the tutorial btw, the rest moved smoothly
Depending on how many effects you add, it can surely take a while to render. After the last note is done in the preview of the render, I also experience that it takes a couple more minutes before it really finishes. Try it again with lower settings and wait a while to see if it finishes or not :)
Hello, can I change the colour of each hand?
Hey, yes you can :)
Use a midi file which stores the notes played by each hand on a separate midi track. When loading it into PianoVFX you'll need to create a second color profile (like in 3:05 in this video) and drag it into the second slot.
Hope that helps, let me know if you run into trouble!
@@Klangio Thank you!
if my file uses multiple midi channels, can i display each channel’s notes in different colours?
From what I have explored it still doesn't have such a feature which is sad
Yes, it's actually possible! This video is using the feature: ua-cam.com/video/3AsRKU6qh9s/v-deo.html
@@Klangio can it have more than two colors like for every track or channel a separate color?
Should be possible, but I haven't tried it out. Feel free to try it out and let me know if you succeed :)
is it only for windows 10 or can i use windows 11
Should work for both ;)
Windows 11 is designed to backwards compatible, so 99,99% of the times if an app works on windows 10 it will work on 11
can we download alpha? or no background or need to add green screen?
You can directly add a background in PianoVFX
@@Klangio yes but my plan was different :)
PLEASE make an option to export in 9:16 ratio for mobile videos like tiktok etc
Hey there, you can forward that request to the devs of PianoVFX. We can't do that :P
After rednering mid the file is gradually ahead of the video and with each minute there is more and more mismatch. Any ideas how to fix this?
You might want to check with if the .mid file contains also contains tempo / bpm. I think if the file doesn't contain this information, Piano VFX will render it with 120 bpm. If the audio is then rendered from the midi file with a different bpm, the playback of both files won't match. Keep me updated how its going :)
@@Klangio thanks, i will try
@Klangio I managed to sync midi and video. It turned out that by default midi is played a little faster, literally in a fraction of a second. In the program, you need to set the midi speed to 0.9980 (+-3). The problem is not in midi, it is a bug in the program
Oh that's too bad :/ Thanks for letting me know tho!
my computer overheats and shuts off during the render/export, how do I fix this?
Sorry, seems like your hardware is too outdated to handle the rendering. One thing you could try is to update all your drivers and try again.
@@Klangio Thank you so much! I'll try that
My exported video has no sound even I added wav and midi.
You can add audio in the main menu of PianoVFX. Alternatively, you can use a Video Editor like DaVinci to add it in afterward.
Hope that helps :)
Can you change the ratio to 9:16??
I usually just crop it with Davinci Resolve. Don't think there is an option to do so directly in PianoVFX yet.
Uhhh why no audio doe
As mentioned in the video: You can add the audio file of the original recording th the third row of the main menu :) If you only have the MIDI file and need an audio file, you can check out this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/jalGyXQNsbk/v-deo.htmlsi=PmfVKcW51UbJGm9b&t=103
@@Klangio oh thanks
Does it have audio?
Yes, you can add audio to the rendering within Piano-VFX. Check out the "audio" section and find more information about that on the Piano-VFX website.
