Made a lot of improvements since I was first here 3-4 years ago, looking great!
Wow that's so cool ! I built the original visualizer 3 years ago and loved it! I will definitely try this new version which looks amazing. Thanks for sharing this hard work! 😃👏
Спасибо за видео. Выглядит отлично.
Zajebiste, może w końcu zrobię ;).
this is really cool i want it
Hi amazing job
Can i use ws2812b 144 led smd 3535 ?
The strip is 8mm instead 12mm
Thanks
Hey, thank you and sorry for the late response. Somehow I missed your comment. Those LEDs should be compatible with my code, but the 3535 will be slightly dimmer than the 5050. Also, the spacing between LEDs might be different, but you'll be able to align them with your keys using shifting and offset settings.
Hello, will this work with a kawai-es120 to midi? Also is the strip in the video the same as the strip linked in the github because the one in your video looks very clean not able to see any of the individuals led. Thank you very much for making this video!
Hey, yes, it will work just fine. As for the diffuser, it's not the same as the one linked on GitHub. I bought it at a local store, and I was not able to find the exact same one online. The one I linked should be fine though. You can't see individual LEDs for the most part in my video because I made sure to set the correct exposure. I can clearly see the LEDs with my eyes, which is helpful for the learning mode.
@@onlaj Got it, thank you!
Does this work with the FP-10? It has a USB Type B port, and Bluetooth MIDI
Yes, it does :)
I'm trying to get this to work on a orange pi zero 2w, running into some errors.
Hey, post those errors on discord or github under 'issues' tab, I'll try to help. You can find link in the description.
Does the adapter need 4 ports or does one with only 1 port work? wondering since I live in sweden and its not very reliable to order from outside of the country
Do you mean USB hub? If you want to connect your piano and PC at the same time (for Synthesia or other software) you need at least two ports. If you plan to connect only the piano and nothing else you don't even need a Hub, a simple USB OTG cable will be enough.
@@onlaj yes, I meant the USB hub, thanks!
Would you mind sharing the type of led strip you are you using? And how many leds/m ?
Hey, it's WS2812B 144/m. You can find everything on my github page, link is in the description :)
As a software engineer, the amount of work and detail that went into this is amazing! what is the best way to support you my friend? Id like to either donate or contribute in some way
Thank you for the kind words! If you know Python, I'd appreciate any contributions such as new features, optimizations, good coding practices, or code reviews. If you'd like to support me financially, you can find a "Sponsor" button on the GitHub repository.
@@onlaj perfect thank you!
I’ve tried connecting Synthesia and it wont do it! Can you please do a tutorial of it!! Thanks!!
Hey, you can find instructions on Github

Hello, can I use Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, instead of WH? Thank you!
Personally, I haven't tried it on anything other than the RPi Zero, but it should work just fine.
@@onlaj I have installed on a very old RPi model B ver. 2011.12 with Ethernet port, it seems to be run well. I am waiting for led strip delivered, then I will try connecting the strip to see effects
Does it work on yamaha psr f51? Idk if it has usb midi ports
Also what kind of led strips do i need
You need MIDI or USB MIDI output, it won't work without them.
@@onlaj will an adapter work? i onlt have an aux port
@@Antam372 aux is an audio port. You can't just convert an audio into midi signal.
so lost cause? @@onlaj
@@Antam372 nothing you can do about it.
Will it work on Yamaha P-515
As long as it has midi output - yes, it will work.
What does Midi output look like? is it under the keyboard@@onlaj my midi looks like usb will it still work?
@@user-bk6zj7tc8b In the spec of that keyboard it says there is usb to host built-in, so it will work just fine. You just need to connect your keyboard to your RPi through OTG USB HUB
Ładne, ładne ale wolałem jak grałeś z nami w BFa
yamaha p233 work it?
Yes, it will work great :)
Does it work with a esp32?
No, you need Raspberry.
@@onlaj please can you make an esp32-s3 version ?u.u - the raspberry pi is more expensive
You have this raspberry pi case. can you share the file with me where i can also fit the power plug for the leds because the file on thingiverse doesnt have this extended version for a power plug
Hey, you can find the file in the Github repository. It's under "Docs" folder.
TYSM!! thats so awesome. Have my sub :D
What’s the VST you’re using?
