I just bought the 2022 Crosstrek Ltd 2 weeks ago and I can't get enough. I traded my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 5.7l for it and so far I don't miss it a bit. I never thought I'd say this but I love my Subaru!
CX-5 cladding was good, but in UK/EU, Mazda petrols are very under powered, and no turbo options. Fingers crossed for new Subaru models, though i like my Outback 2.5L
Crosstrek is both a fun & practical car that gets younger buyers to the Subaru brand - larger engine a good improvement - very nice review; great seeing the coupons consistently show up! Hope with all the reviews done thus far in 2020 you’ll share a video of your funny bloopers & fails as you have in past years - you guys are great! 😎
I just picked up my 2021 limited crosstrek in horizon blue. I will say I got very lucky with the model I was able to get. It was a show car and completely equipped with all accessories. Harmon kardon system, auto dim rearview and heated side mirrors with walkup light on the side mirrors, moonroof, lighted footwells and so much more. I am in love with this car!

Excellent commentary, to be honest I’m sold . My daughter has a 2018 and loves it! One suggestion would be to spend some time on it’s top rated safety features ... that makes a difference 👍 Nevertheless,? Thanks for the UA-cam post!
I bought a Crosstrek limited for the engine alone...I traded a 2012 Prius Four for it....I love my Subaru..it has a a lot of safety features..it is comfortable as hell and has a lot to offer...plus even with all season tires...it is wonderful in the snow...it will slide a bit and to me that is fun, but still very safe...plus I live in Michigan
Biggest difference between the 2.0 and the 2.5 according to several engineering automobile firms we evaluated the 2.5 engine can last 200,000 plus miles while the 2.0 may only last 120,000 miles. Also with the manual transmission you don't have the annoying stop-start nor do you have the thinner windshield as is required for Subaru's eyesight. In addition the manual transmission provides a more mechanical all wheel drive system with 50/50 split power to the wheels which is a lot more reliable.
Is the XV Crosstrek still a thing? Also I think that the Subaru Crosstrek should have a heated steering wheel on the top limited trim considering the price and a wireless charger should at least be an option. Great review as usual guys!
Wait does it have like adaptive cruise control where it steers for you on the highway and keeps you in your lane? I have a 2021 crosstrek limited and I thought all the system could do was cruise control which keeps a distance from the car in front of you but does not steer.
I previously test drove a 2020 Crosstrek Limited and the 2L engine and CVT combination was painfully slow so I didn't buy it. I drove the 2020 Mazda CX30 and didn't like the seats, scroll-wheel infotainment system, cramped interior, ugly body, slippery shifting automatic transmission, and lack of driving lights; but it did have more power. I passed on that also. The infotainment system disaster in the Lexus NX300 ruled it out. I bought a 2021 Red Crosstrek Limited in August because it now has enough power and the improved CVT now "shifts" better that most geared automatics (especially the CX30). I've also taken it deep in the woods to places that the so-called competitors aren't capable of going. I do wish that we got all the extra features in the US that Subaru puts on the Canadian models though. I bought a $90 plug in device the turns off the auto Stop-Start, it only works on the Limited model though. I've been watching your reviews for some time as I prepared to shop for a new car and found them very helpful. One thing I would appreciate in reviews is, "do the rear windows go all the way down?" as ones that don't annoy some of my passengers. Thanks for your thoroughness, consistency, and professionalism! Nice Teamwork!

I searched it on the internet and that's what I got! Certain models are called 3.0R (3.0L) or later 3.6R (3.6L), and the 'R' is an older marketing term from the early 2000s for 'revolution'. It also has been claimed to not have any specific meaning. Fuel injection: a fuel delivery system that automatically delivers, or injects, the fuel.
Pretty nice interior, just lose all that piano black dust-catching plastic around the infotainment area and add brake hold and how about some rear seat air vents! C'mon.

It's really silly that steering wheel heating is not available even on most expensive trim. Shame on Subaru. Many less expensive cars have this function. I wish that Mazda can take a page from Subaru’s book and fix the cladding on the CX-30. Subaru knows how to integrate cladding very well.

No heated steering wheel in the U.S. just because of the warmer weather variance versus Canada.
