A great chapter to kick off the year, the punch landed and DAMN did it feel good
The Sabaody vibes are there for sure, but there seems to be a mixture of more; Enies Lobby with the Buster Call, Dressrosa with Kuma kinda filling the Kyros role, and Marineford with a Navy member's loyalty being tested while in battle with a Yonko. There's a lot of things Oda can call back to right now.
Kuma still fighting after the shutdown (also a little cathartic that Vegapunk was still able to pull the wool over 'I'm a man of science too so don't try to deceive me' Saturn) does invite more conversation, Vegapunk implies special abilities from the Buccaneers but he also entertains that it's love. What if there is still a shred of humanity in Kuma? An echo, a ghost in the machine? Earlier in the arc we had Atlas discuss with Luffy what acts as proof of existence, the holograms were interactable and had behaviour but they were deemed 'not real', it could come back to this discussion with Kuma being deemed 'not alive'. They still have his body, and they have S-Bear who retains elements of his original personality.
Saturn's power is interesting, someone on twitter suggested it could be Time - Saturn is the Roman equivalent of Kronos, god of time - and maybe it just requires a lot of concentration, in addition what if the Gorosei have multiple devil fruits? And that they just spread that it couldn't happen to limit people, or maybe it can only hold one compatible type each; Paramecia, Zoan and Logia. Sanji finally getting to kick away Saturn's leg is good but at the same time some fans are taking it way too far, Franky though went 1-100 on Saturn as soon as he could, racking some underrated feats there. We feel like Saturn vs Luffy has to happen, and it likely will, but I am curious to the twist Oda's going to spin on it, Saturn fears Nika it seems but he's also able to undo all damage dealt to him, there's something in the puzzle not clear to us yet to make it all fall into place.
Kizaru though, he's still confusing. He still seems on the government's side but his suggestion of the Buster Call is also kinda the worst case scenario for Saturn; the media was spun to make it look like Luffy had Vegapunk hostage, so to save face on his contribution to the public not being put into doubt, but they wanted Egghead so they could mass produce the Mother Flame. With the Buster Call they get neither, because they'll have to admit Vegapunk's ties against the WG and lose the island entirely. It may be Kizaru's way of playing both sides, or it might not, it's always hard to tell. But with the Buster Call now imminent I do hope that Oda's been keeping Robin under wraps to show out on this moment; she survived Ohara, she escaped Enies Lobby, this time though she should have a part in stopping the Buster Call on Egghead.
We're still waiting on some external factors though; the sleeping giant, the Blackbeard ship, Caribou, the remaining Straw Hats, the status of the Revolutionaries (Saturn planned for Kuma to nuke them all, and Shaka did talk to Dragon), and frankly Lucci vs Zoro should be long finished now but it also does end up a test of Cipher Pol's loyalty now; the entrapped CP agents are now left to die, the Seraphim are left to die, Kaku and Lucci are about to be left to die, what happens when they owe their lives to pirates?

I think the bucaneers soul can stay on earth even after the body has died. It is like inherited will, and it might not even come from there race that is why the WG could never figure it out. It comes from there believe in Nikka.
We also see Kuma's body getting saved by altas, but I don't think Kuma will somehow survive this more like when he see's Luffy he has accepted that he isn't needed anymore and can move on.
Kizaru's final line might also be about him using his Logia awakening. Also interesting to state that Saturn talks about Nikka like there are gods.

Things just keep getting better, Saturn is so despicable but I really enjoy him and him getting punched by Kuma was amazing and Kuma still being "Alive" through sheer force of Will is such a One Piece thing. You're absolutely right about Kizaru he's fascinating since we have no idea what he's going to do.

I wonder if Dragon gets a “clout” boost after the events of egghead. If Morgan finds out that Dragon’s second/third in command punches an elder star in the face and his son probably defeating a buster call, he would definitely add this into the news.
Separately, I’m torn on Bonney joint the crew. I would love it and I feel like she fits with everyone on the crew but something feels off.
Such as her dream of reuniting with her dad is fulfilled. If she does join Sanji is going to need to triple lock the fridge
I feel like Chopper has already filled the "cute/childish" role and adding Bonney, although obviously with big differences, would not feel right to me.
Bonney her crew and Kizaru should head to all the places she wanted to see younger, Kizaru isn't a direct enemy of the WG but is effectively taken off the board. Bonney for SH main crew? idk they all have unfinished arcs too many stories remaining already in OP

The way Kuma has been portrayed throughout the entire series makes him feel unstoppable. 6 year old slave when he escapes God Valley, The Boogeyman of Part 1 (until we’re shown otherwise), Marineford casually takes down Oars Jr, Guards the Sunny solo for 2 years, up to Saturn now. Only Akainu seems to have caused him any issues, and Akainu is one of the strongest period. Saturn seemed genuinely concerned about Kuma, but he seemed more annoyed than anything from G5 Luffy. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuma finishes Saturn with Conqueror’s Haki by the end of the arc. Even as a deleted consciousness his unstoppable WILL is driving him.
I think I finally understood kizaru "uncertain justice". It seems he's concept of uncertain means not deciding what is just and let someone who is more fit to decide (in this case saturn) and I think in the next few chapters he will have a conflict whit his motto of justice.
I am still on the teleportation train i still thank that one of vega punks satellites teleported food in under the direction of nami and possibly even teleported luffy. The really sad thing is that you are the only creator that has read my thought on teleportation commented and it is ridiculous
The buster call it's pretty much a free card for them to scape. It's obvious the man wants them to scape, he is just saving face with his boss.
Kizaru fighting for someone he already knows doesn't share his own beliefs is just like Bellamy in Dressrosa. EVENTUALLY, Bellamy loosely kinda joined Luffy, but it took beating Doflamingo first.
You know Kuma is pure Manifestation of Dreams and Hope. in our life we all fail somewhere and stop following light we succumb to darkness and waste all our life doing nothing but never try to hope or dream or see the light at the end of tunnel.
Kuma life was dark but he still chooses hope instead of hatred while many lose hope he still survived his love of life get robed but he still care about Bonney and hope for her future .
Kuma whole life is based on hope it’s seems like while those who give up on hope already dead but kuma keeping the hope is more alive than many others .

I think Blackbeard is a buccaneer? I think I've heard this before but for some reason now I'm really aware of it. So I googled "blackbeard buccaneer" and I found a book from 1922 called... "Blackbeard Buccaneer" by Ralph D. Paine and the character in that book seems to line up surprisingly closely with the personality and appearance of One Piece's Blackbeard, rather than the historical version. Also, I learned from the Wikipedia page that there's some confusion over Blackbeard name being Teach or Thatch. So, that's a little reference I figured I would share.
The real Blackbeard got his reputation by attacking slave ships and having the slaves become pirates ( or slaves) he hid out along the Carolina coast line when he was caught
Thats a interesting argument for blackbeard being a buccaneer, the only thing that makes me think that blackbeard isnt a buccaneer is the sleepless description with blackbeard and in the chapter where bonney is born(1098) and where kuma and bonney are undergoing their operations(1100) kuma is seen sleeping alongside bonney, so i think Blackbeard is something else or theres a different explanation with his body
I feel like kizaru either has some sort of plan or has faith in the strawhats escaping with vegapunk, kuma and bonney since it seems like he influenced saturn to call in a buster call and hes surprised by the strawhats growth but at the same time the moment of him say " its over isnt it" does look like he lost hope of sparing anyone on egghead from death when kuma punched saturn(sentomaru should be ok) i love how unpredictable oda is making kizaru, also thats a top tier thumbnail

I just went to check and indeed all the SHs were sent from Sabaody to somewhere in Paradise, East or South Blue, because Kuma's Paw Paw fruit isn't capable of crossing the Red Line.
Since Saturn noticed Luffy was eating, and his reaction of shock/outrage indicates he understands food fuels Luffy literally, I strongly suspected Kizaru of getting that food to Luffy to help his friends he's being forced by order of Saturn to eliminate. Kizaru is the only one able to quickly get Luffy what he needs to gain back strength. None of the Vegapunk satelites, grunt marines, CP0 agents, seraphim or the Straw Hats seem likely given each is either incapacitated in some way or fully an enemy. Kizaru is an enemy technically, but he may be more like Garp or Kuzan in that he may help or allow someone to escape him or act more hurt than he actually is for an ulterior motive - helping someone he considers innocent or cares about. He wouldn't be the first marine to help an enemy (pirates or other criminal) nor the first to be aware of the government's flaws and/or corruption and how little it may have to do with his own idea of justice. Kizaru is the only one with the speed to help Luffy without anyone including Saturn noticing and seems like he isn't affected by whatever was keeping the Straw Hats from moving - either by being out of range or Saturn can specifically target who is affected. I'm convinced Kizaru is acting more hurt than he is but also fought Luffy enough to deceive Saturn into thinking he needed more time to recover. Who knows where Kizaru lands in the spectrum of One Piece though.
That's all I suspect on Kizaru for now: Kizaru snuck Luffy food to help him regain his strength to either help Kizaru's friends escape Saturn or to fight Saturn without the aid of Kizaru himself who is seemingly down and out after fighting Luffy/Nika. It's a less obvious but the same thing Garp did, he allowed Luffy to one punch through him of all people so he could save Ace. That's also why I suspect Kizaru is more like Garp and even Kuzan who both allowed criminals to escape them because it was someone they cared about or someone their personal sense of justice deemed to be a victim rather than a criminal in some way. I hope more is revealed about Kizaru at some point but like Kuzan, it's likely still quite a long way off.

We also still have to many Vegapunks running around. At the beginning the speculation was, that most die except for 1. Vegapunks brain is also basically the island and they cant take it with them, so he should be killed by the buster call, with only his stellas surviving.
I still wonder how evil Lilith really is. One punk joined the WG, most others the straw hats and if Lilith is truly evil she could join blackbeard willingly.

Ive noticed kizaru is giving me garp vibes, he wants the straw hats to be strong enough to defeat him so they can take justice into their own hands, they both have to follow orders or they will become wanted men, when garp was told luffy is becoming big in the pirate world garp replied " NOT BIG ENOUGH"

I think Satun's spiderweb pentagram on the floor restricted movement of those within a certain range. And being a new devil fruit power Sanji didnt understand it to counter it with haki.
Bonney joining Revolutionary Army following his father's footstep and Vivi reuniting SHs and also might posses Kuma's DF just like how her ancestor used Nikyu Nikyu to scatter the poneglyphs around the world (presumably Kuma will die after Egghead arc)
The thing that amazed me the most is that due to Kumas arrival everyone can move freely now.

Been waiting all week for my tinfoil! Is Saturn weakened, or concentration lessened because of Kuma? Everyone is not frozen, I love the hope angle.
Saturns power related to fear and the belief he couldn’t be defeated makes sense cause the only strawhats not affected was luffy and zoro and that would be the 2 that believe anyone can be defeated.
The end has me chuckling even with a buster call cause Saturn goin on about how infected the island is with this and that and good ol Mr. Robot still creeping around somewhere waiting to show up and do something. I still really want to know if that thing is still running if Luffy is not in G5 or not.
My thoughts & opinions of the chapter:
1. I never expected Kizaru to be the one who gave Luffy those foods. And if he's really going to attack the SH again, then I do hope one of Emperor Luffy's Senior Officers finish him off for good!
2. It's no surprise that Caribou may have helped Luffy with his disappearances. But if he does come back almost the same time anymore reinforcements shows up, I definitely want him to make an entrance as epic as the other Emperors did!
3. If the Marines begin to inflict harm to Egghead & its citizens, then I do hope any other reinforcements will come to stop them. Whether it would be Dragon, Hancock, the Grand Fleet, and/or whoever is on Blackbeard's ship!
Prediction: I predict the fight against Saturn is going to focus on the Straw Hats working as a team to fight him and his forces off while Luffy remains incapacitated, in a similar parallel to Thriller Bark. However, Luffy will still be the one that'll deliver the final blow, taking down Kizaru, the marine forces, and Gorosei Saturn.
Saturns powers can't be fear based because there's no way Sanji was afraid. This is coming from a Zoro fan btw so you know it's gotta be true LoL

Kizaru is obviously a very loyal and honorable man but being a loyal soldier doesn't excuse him from the blame to come from the atrocities he commits on behalf of the World Government. I know Kizaru is showing remorse for what he is doing and all but I don't think it completely excuses his actions unless he does something major to assist the Strawhats escape before the arc is over. I don't think he will attack Saturn directly because that would take away too much tension and cause his position to become forfeit but there may come a time where he could pursue Vegapunk or the Strawhats and simply chooses not to. If Kizaru is truly a man of honor then in a way he kind of owes Luffy a favor for coming to the rescue of his old friend so there might be a way Kizaru can help and still keep up the image of a loyal soldier. He has been an enigma up until now but he is slowly revealing his true self throughout this arc.

Dude's not an Enigma, he's the nail in the board that doesn't want to get hit. kizaru represents the man living the harsh reality. Religion isn't going to fill your belly, or save you from the hungry predators of the world. The only way Kizaru changes his mind is if he sees Saturn get brought to his knees. I am still let thinking that there has to be some sort of failsafe on the admirals. Something that all marines get tied into at a certain level intended to prevents them from turning against the World Government. Like Gorosei has some sort of magical contract the all marines have to sign on to.

Ah, but what if Saturn attacks Kizaru out of frustration then?? Think of it this way, Saturn at this moment, is really frustrated and so far he has been attacked by few people already, sure Kizaru kicked Franky but only after the radical beam, and he failed to defend Saturn against Sanji's kick and Kuma's epic punch. On top of that, he couldn't beat Luffy or even get to the Stella. Then on top of that, Saturn is now standing right behind him, not to mention that Kizaru is interfering with Saturn's own business by assuming that Saturn needs help. Not with those regeneration skills, but considering Saturn's nature, and standing of the hierarchy, he's probably so frustrated with Kizaru that he's gonna tell Kizaru to look at him. Then he's gonna paralyze Kizaru and just swipe him away as punishment for failure.
He'll probably end up swiping Vegapunk along with him, because the way Vegapunk is, is the romantic, he described himself as, and he might just try to defend Kizaru considering all they've been through together. Anyway, they get knocked away and end up next to each other, and while they're laying there, Saturn gets distracted by something, (probably Luffy) and Vegapunk gives Kizaru one of those Naruto to Sasuke pep talks. Vegapunk gets enough into his head and then the stella slowly gets up and somehow causes Kizaru to change. (oh, side note: What if somewhere in all of this it's revealed that admirals are really just glorified, semi-privileged, slaves [including Fujitora, Ryokugyu, Akainu, and Aokiji who is technically escaped]????) I mean none of this is really gonna happen, but they're definitely somethings that could happen.
I really love that Kizaru's "incompetence" it's just him giving himself freedom to act like "I don't want to catch those pirates I will just fall asleep", but now he is caught between fires, he has a fight he doesn't want to fight but has to since Saturn is there. Honestly I don't think he is going to betray Saturn, but he will pull an Aokiji later and drop out of the Marines
But he didn't just fall asleep with his own will 😂 Luffy knocked his shit out ! And kizaru was out for few minutes and i guess that helped him staying out for a while to figure what to do ! Betray his freinds by doing what his orderd to do by gorosei or Betray him and save his folks Vegapunk and Bonnie ! And as soon as luffy left he got up ! Shows that kizaru doesn't want mess with luffy cause he knows what he is Joyboy and propably what he is capable off !
Is Saturn is the Blueno of the Gorosei? Ju Peter is Jabura, Venus is Kaku and Imu is Lucci. Who will fight the rest? One one for Jinbei for sure
Personally I think Oda will invert sabaody and egghead incident will be Luffy swallowing a buster call… literally… this will show off growth while allowing other losses to not feel so depressing and big news will witness it all and broadcast. I think Saturn is going to be a huge problem to establish the gorosei as a threat but somehow he will die and we will learn that Saturn is the weakest of the gorosei. So if they barely survive this one and later have 4 gorosei and imu to fight it will still be very high stakes but we will get this mini win. If vegapunk dies as well Luffy will be blamed for single handedly taking on a buster call killing vegapunk and a gorosei member. This would make the world government very embarrassed and probably go after Luffy bringing their weapon to lulusia elbaf? Just a stream of ideas

A second flashback seems very unlikely, we now understand more of Kuma and the gorosei so I think Oda might keep the rest of the mystery unveiled for now.

Kizaru does do good by not doing any bad , that's his way and this chapter proved it.He got up , he could have flown over Luffy , stab his head with his lightsaber and end him , he could have finished off Vegapunk once he got up being the light speed man he is , he could have attacked Kuma for punching Saturn and he chose to remain on the defensive , just fighting the rest of the Straw Hats.He even says that they have grown.
I am getting Lord Of The Rings Wizards vibes from all the Admirals , they're these extremely powerful beings , with supernatural beyond comprehension powers , "archangels" if you wish to call them that way (if the Seraphim isn't another Biblical reference lol) , but their role isn't the offensive , they're not some simple bitches or conjurers of cheap tricks to just end piracy , their role is to guide every nation to the right path so that the nations learn to stand yp to piracy not tolerate crime and even go against their oppressors the World Government that is.
Because of the weed thing , Kizaru has to be Radagast.Akainu is definitely Saruman and Fujitora is most likely Gandalf.
Since Aokiji definitely has been to Elbaf so that Saul returned safely to his homeland and has been to other places jumping like a traveler in the Grand Line , he has to be on of the Blue Wizards.
Not sure why many people think there will be any serious fight between Kizaru and the Straw Hats.Aside feom the fact that none of them can match up to hin other than obviously Luffy thanks to his Wano growth , like Aokiji with Robin , the one Kizaru protected in his respective flashback from the charges pressed against him , thus Jinbei , is with Luffy's crew.Furthermore , Kizaru and Jinbei never once exchanged fists in the Paramount War probably because of the mutual respect they have for one another.
To wrap it up , even if like the old fans have to repeat it for the 183726161th time , Navy and World Government are not the same.The latter is just able to control the other.Most of the islands are safe in One Piece because the Navy protects them and if you do cause it trouble it will chase you , it has better technology in its ships than you , it has competent combatants in Haki and in the Rokushiki , some very strong dudes we all know of need we say more?
