There’s something that really speaks to me from this song! It’s our own individual experience. Our lives! In terms of our destiny we stand alone! Life passes like a breeze but we make our lives!
Great early/mid 80's Canadian Hair Metal Act, along with Brighton Rock, Helix & Lee Aaron...These guys should've been bigger...but they're Dwarfs so ya know :(
Id say anyone who hates these guys for being creatively different is an idiot. They sounded like this on purpose. They challenged the rest of the music scene to be different. these guys were fucking great .
These guys made it to Houston about five years ago and it was killer. My friends and I would love to have them back so we could promote the Hell out of the show.
Saw Killer Dwarfs back in the day at Fat Jaks, a bar in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They were awesome and the CD this song came from was great from start to finish!!! They should have been much more successful than they were. Always wondered what ever happened to them? I played the crap out of that CD!!!
Why is it every time I see this video after the transformation I feel they look like Aussies! God knows why but I just do! - I too love this song! In fact the whole album this is on is ace! Highly underrated band!
Killer Dwarfs and Anthrax brought something to Heavy Metal that was sorely lacking: a sense of humour, while still making good songs. SOOOOO much of Metal was "macho" and "heavier than thou" bushllit, and both bands threw that out the door.
I first heard the Killer Dwarfs in 1988 when i lived in VA Beach working sheet metal.A co-worker/friend knew i loved Rush and said hey you should her this band because the lead singer sounds like Geddy Lee. He lent me his cassette yes cassette no cd's yet and i was like wow this guy really does sound like Geddy. To this day i havent heard anyone that comes as close as Russ.Coheed and Cambria comes close.I still like to turn the Killer Dwarfs up real loud and jam like the good old days.
great band! melodies are classy above alot of the rest from this era, makes me think about great melodies from the 60s fused into the glam metal era, one of my favorite bands...up there with other greats like Mega City Four!

This was recorded at Phase One in Toronto. Its still there but it moved locations I think. Saga did some of their early records there. I drove past it many times. Its legendary in Canada. This was probably their best song..
thats part of why I loved this band so much. stuck to their guns, and did it their way. my favorite band from this era of Metal, and still one of my all time favs!
I caught theses guys supporting Iron Maiden @ Wembly Arena back in the 80's. I can remember singing along to this & not knowing what the fuck everyone was singing..
Can't believe I got to see these guys 2 times..once in Thunder Bay, and once in Kapuskasing. What happened? They were actually pretty good. At least as MrROTD says, they can hold their heads up not bowing to corporate BS and making the music the way they wanted to.
Russ Graham commented on writing 'We Stand Alone' in an interview with a German magazine 'Sie sind dumm' : 'I remember sitting in my room in Toronto thinking , well the secularization of the immense deliverance of today's acts has really become largely ceremoniousness and quite filamentous.I felt utterly alone and I figured ,no time like now to harmonize and identify the spectrum of however needless and deprecatory my own emotions were taking me.To sum it up ,I secularized my own corniness'
What a great song about not selling out from a band of the most commercial decades😂 Seriously though, more bands shouldn't sell out. Fucking posers. Add KILLER DWARFS STAND TALL, DAMMIT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT ALBUM FOR 15 YEARS
Love the killer dwarfs!! It’s Christmas’24 and I still listen to them everyday
DWARFS!!! FOREVER!!!! ;)
2023 / 2024. We still stand alone!! Rock & Roll for ever , that for sure .
My heavy metal days including these underrated badasses
They poped up on Headbangers Ball every now and then. That's how I found em.

One of the best Toronto based bands ever!
They're from Oshawa. Is that part of the Greater Toronto Area?
There’s something that really speaks to me from this song! It’s our own individual experience. Our lives! In terms of our destiny we stand alone! Life passes like a breeze but we make our lives!

Id say anyone who hates these guys for being creatively different is an idiot. They sounded like this on purpose. They challenged the rest of the music scene to be different. these guys were fucking great .

Loved this song in the 80's and it still rocks almost 30 years later! Rock On!
I've always liked this song. I feel like this should have been the kind of hit that bands like Cheap Trick had.

Canadian hair metal at its best, this video stands to this day. Great message.
These guys made it to Houston about five years ago and it was killer. My friends and I would love to have them back so we could promote the Hell out of the show.
They should have been way more popular
Legend has it that these Shwa Rawk alumni use to jam in dirty south end my neighborhood.

All right. This is ridiculously fun so right up my alley. 👌
Killer Dwarfs and Anthrax brought something to Heavy Metal that was sorely lacking: a sense of humour, while still making good songs. SOOOOO much of Metal was "macho" and "heavier than thou" bushllit, and both bands threw that out the door.

NÓS ESTAMOS SOZINHOS
Faz tanto tempo
É sempre o mesmo
Ficamos sozinhos
Nós somos muito selvagens para domesticar
Enquanto ainda há uma chance
Dizemos para nós mesmos
Vamos nos alimentar da dor
É tudo o que já sentimos
De alguma forma, há um fogo queimando
No fundo da minha alma
De alguma forma, este mundo continua girando
Acho que todo mundo deveria saber
Ficamos sozinhos
Enquanto a vida passa como uma brisa
Ficamos sozinhos
Com apenas nós mesmos para agradar
Ficamos sozinhos
Vivendo o destino
Ficamos sozinhos
Então o que você diz
Devemos tentar
Sempre há pressão
Isso te destrói por dentro
Mas se pudéssemos
Encontrar uma maneira de respirar
Alguma esperança para amanhã
É tudo o que realmente precisamos
De alguma forma, há um fogo queimando
No fundo da minha alma
De alguma forma, este mundo continua girando
Acho que todo mundo deveria saber
Ficamos sozinhos
Enquanto a vida passa como uma brisa
Ficamos sozinhos
Com apenas nós mesmos para agradar
Ficamos sozinhos
Vivendo o destino
Ficamos sozinhos
E todo esse tempo
Você se perguntou se tinha um amigo
Ei! Olhe em volta
Sou eu aqui no final
Ficamos sozinhos
Enquanto a vida passa como uma brisa
Ficamos sozinhos
Com apenas nós mesmos para agradar
Ficamos sozinhos
Vivendo o destino
Ficamos sozinhos
Acho que o Stand é mais no sentido de resistir.
